Having a brother with physical and mental handicaps, I have been around that most of my life. There is no doubt in my mind that Super Humman has some sort of defect, mentally or physically, and I agree with Jim, why are members of his family allowing him to do this sort of thing? My brother is in supervised housing and my parents had him removed from couple of places because of "abuse" but nothing like this. IMO, what is happening is borderline criminal.

I agree, and too many people are worried about being politically correct, however I don’t agree with him for his view of AEW, but it’s all good agree to disagree. It is ok to have different opinions, we forget that too often.

Primo: As long as their locker room has Jericho, Cody, Dustin, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Page, PAC, Moxley, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Jake Hager then yes they are nowhere near an entire roster full of clowns. All those guys paid their dues ages ago. And Jim knows this just so he can be a stirrer. As to Omega and The Bucks and the new guys too much uncertainty on them still. Kenny and Matt and Nick turned in some highly entertaining and logical work in their ROH and NJPW days.B.W.
Jim Cornette is so refreshing to listen to because he is so passionate about what he does. He takes what he does seriously, makes a living from it and people get on him for caring so much about his profession because it's just.. pro-wrestling. That's why individuals today get into the business, because it is treated like a joke and it is a joke. AEW is a microcosm of our society today as everybody can participate and even though you did not perform well, you get a medal for trying even though you don't deserve it.. but they're all inclusive and can't say this since you don't want to trigger anybody.
Jim hit the nail right on the head at the start: it's a small, niche audience who sees individuals like Marco Stunt (which Meltzer comparing Rey Jr to him tells you A LOT) and think "Well shit, I can do this too!" And well.. they probably can now. It's unfortunate the majority of wrestlers today are the least smart people and actually think they cannot work anybody or it's so fake, so why even try to pretend it is real.. well.. that's your job, correct? The majority of the wrestlers today are just.. not good at their jobs.
Well that and wrestling is not as big or taken seriously as it was pre-2000s era or for some pre-80s era.

I think the pro-wrestlers themselves (and I am not one, so it's obviously easy for me to make these comments since I do not get paid to be one and some make a living doing AEW stuff) should take it seriously. If I were them, watch UFC/boxing. How they sell their product and pay per views is promote the fight by talking. They're pro-wrestlers and they do it better than the wrestlers themselves.
And AEW fans/internet fans are the easiest to manipulate. I went to three indy shows this year (which was a blast more so to the party atmosphere rather than what was going on in the ring) and they're the ones that get upset when they're not sure if they're being worked or not.. well who cares! If you are second guessing yourself about what you're seeing could be real.. that is the whole point! It seems like all the wrestlers on those show curtailed to that small audience and were coming off as wanting to be more likable than anything else.
@@michaelshea9769 I think that is what AEW was counting on, to manipulate its audience rather than earn that even the WWE at least attempts to with NXT. Its an effort at the very least. It just saddens me that JR had to take the announcer job for AEW. Making himself look bad.
AEW has so little credibility when its been overshadowed by pockets, young bucks and a literal child being amongst their ranks. I mean sure, kids needs to inspire to something but this isn't how you do it. That and the 'invisible' tag team match a while ago only cements how low AEW has sunk into.
But yeah it needs to be taken as a sport or at least try to. But its been a good long time that people ever saw them as anything more than just 'acting' according to these normies and not something that can rival UFC. Not sure if its possible to return to that mindset right now with how people are nowanddays.

@@priimovalentiino1640 Spike doesn't fit, as he's a giant compared to Stunt. Spike is/was about the same size as Mysterio (maybe slightly larger). He also rarely had any kind of real success against anyone of average size or larger without some sort of interference, unlike Mysterio. The again, Mysterio was one of the greatest talented pro wrestlers of all time in his prime years... Spike Dudely, while a good hand for a smaller guy, was not.
Stunt is smaller than my short GF (5'4, 135), and she'd probably beat the living hell out of him in a real fight. He's 5'2, 130... and I think the 130 is greatly exaggerated (looks closer to 110). He's all of 7 inches and 30 pounds heavier than Hornswoggle... who is admittedly a joke. He's 4 inches and 45 pounds smaller than Mysterio... and not a third as talented. Yet when Mysterio was suddenly involved in programs with bigger guys, EVERYONE called it out for being absolutely ridiculous and unbelievable. Even Rey's friends (including Jericho) talk about how ludicrously small he was and the amazing improbability of his climb in the business. FFS, Rey himself admits that he probably shouldn't have risen as he did! Now we're supposed to ignore all of that for a much smaller Stunt?
If AEW had a cruiserweight division, which they don't because that would include 90% of their roster, Stunt would be great there. He makes for a great sidekick, which has basically been his role with Jurassic Express. But he should not be taken seriously at all while facing anyone of average size or bigger. I don't actually have much of a problem with how AEW has mostly booked Stunt to this point, as while he's had his moments here and there, he's also been mostly been getting his ass handed to him. But how long will this last? How long before AEW pushes him to some sort of midcard title (that they plan to create but have yet to do so) through a series of flukes then try to legitimize him?
He's getting paid to live his dream! Great! That doesn't mean that people are required to accept or buy into it. That does not mean there should be no outrage against it. And what's ironic is that I'm pretty certain I've seen you as part of the mass moron choir riding Roman Reigns' ass over the past few years. Even when he began putting on strong to excellent matches more often than not. I guess it wasn't bullshit then, huh? Let's just ignore the fact that Roman Reigns is a hell of a lot more believable than Marko Stunt is. Even with his wooden promos, fading charisma, routinely regulated matches, and the world of wrestling fans still tired of the constant push he had.

The wyatts when they first got called up ect.) but, as far as being caught up with everything.. I havent been an avid fan since the early 2000s.. And the cody/dustin match was something that i really enjoyed... Jerichos / MJF promos has kept me watching... How about this for a better way to use Marko Stunt's 'talents' in this scenario: Jungle Boy finds a new (legit) tag partner but those dastardly Lucha Bros force him to tag with Stunt as a recognised member of Jurassic Express (because heels love sticking to the rules when it suits them). Jungle Boy takes a beating in the match because he doesn't want to risk tagging Stunt in and him getting hurt. Stunt makes a blind tag, maybe even throws a couple of moves, but gets quickly obliterated by the Luchas and pinned 1-2-3. It still covers the dilemma caused by Luchasaurus' injury, puts the Luca Bros over as vicious bastards who flaunt the rules and like hurting smaller men, and puts Jungle Boy over as an uber-sympathetic babyface.
That was actually a scenario Jim covered on JCE last week.
That would have been far more better for Jungle Boy since he is the center piece of the gimmick and Luchasaurus is over as hell. They don't need Stunt.

I wish the level of, well, levity about pro wrestling was around in Ole Andersons day. You can see him asking Marko "Oh, so you wanna be a 'wrestler', eh kid?" and then soundly beating the hell out of him for forty five minutes. Yes, we all know pro wrestling is fake, and scripted, but as Ventura said "How can you fake a bodyslam?" Why did Hogan go from being 6'7" to 6'3"? Look at Chris Von Erich: a member of one of the greatest wrestling families ever, and he took his own life bc he couldnt measure up in the ring. Lots of kids want to be wrestlers, and no you dont need to be 6'6" and 280lbs, but you have to be at least resilient if not tough. The kid can have all the moves, but its an insult to wrestling as an institution. Hopefully, for his sake, this marko kid stays in it..and is beaten and crippled by 40..then you'll know if theres any hope for wrestling. I freely admit im a dinosaur like Corny, and wanna hold onto bygone days, and I know things evolve with time and change, but it hasnt changed THAT much. A kid who couldnt make weight for a HS wrestling meet should not be in the ring. Imagine a booker pitting marko against Brock Lesnar?

I think Jim Cornette as an entertainer has the best timing I’ll say it he’s right there with Bobby Heenan as the most entertaining person ever to be involved in wrestling he’s a master artist Jim Cornette really is gold he’s hilarious yet serious in what he says I can’t say enough about him but I’d pay to watch him use the tennis racket I’m a fan and don’t regret whether you’ve ever thought he’s crossed the line with certain thing jim Cornette is a credit to wrestling cause he never brought shame to the profession wrestling’s better off to have him in it
Cornette, Heenan, Heyman and probably Vince McMahon are the best ever non-wrestler personalities in history. No, Vince isn't the wordsmith that the others are but he's probably the biggest ever heel character.
He is so right about AEW fans. I enjoy all wrestling and I really like watching Sammy Guevara especially. But I just shook my head when JR compared him to a "young Eddie Guerrero" and all the AEW bobbleheads jizzed their pants and repeated it over and over lol

I love corny, and dont like stunt at all. I feel like they're actually hurting the other two by association. But Corny has a tendency to romanticize the industry. An industry BTW that has an extensive history of literal midgets competing as a draw.
Those midgets wrestled other midgets and on the rare occasion that they were in the ring with full grown men, they didn’t put on competitive matches.

The comparison to Rey was easy and accurate. If big guys will sell for little Rey, big guys should also sell for little Stunt. If Mysterio's punch "hurts" then so does Stunt's. It's very simple.
