I actually felt super bad for Wardlow almost slipping when they were leaving the stage. It's the worst thing when you're a heelish big man and some botch happens like that, as it takes away from the threat you represent. We're all human, yeah, but man, the cameraman fucked up getting that shot on live TV. I thought the entire show was really botchy that night.
Felt the same away when I seen that.

I remember when heel Kane slipped and fell after walking away from whooping someone's ass. I almost died of second hand embarrassment.
Don’t blame the cameraman, the production truck has all the controls.
You can't blame the cameraman for doing his job! Accidents happen, no way the cameraman could see into the future... If anything the production truck should have cut to a different shot.
It is what it is though, I think wardlow was alright shrugging it off though

Steiner would have been great too,because he wouldn't play along AT ALL. Ronnie Garvin would have been fun too. Fuck it,how about both Road Warriors at once? That would be fantastic. I'm totally with Jim on Stunted Growth. Gotta go.

Because his breakfalls are really good. If you do a fair evaluation of his abilitys you see some good basic highflyer skills and selling. He can't do anything for his body.

@@baronroaster404 Jim Cornette was a smarmy, loud-mouthed heel manager that made people want to see him get his comeuppance in various ways. He's not a towering, jacked up beast of a man like, Lance Archer as one example.
His character wasn't an athlete, he wasn't a fighter, so it's not shameful for a smarmy, annoying heel manager to get embarrassed and tossed around by a midget wrestler like it would be for Lance Archer to spend longer than 20 seconds squashing someone like Marko Stunt. That's his view on the situation.

It's like none of the wrestlers, and I use the word "wrestler" loosely cause they're nothing but cosplayers, don't know how to say "no." They don't have to agree to every stupid spot. This is why most of them will end up retired before they're thirty.
I feel like MJF could wrestle a blow up doll and Cornette would still praise it.

I went to watch this match and one of the comments said "I'm only here to understand Cornette's critique of this match" lol imagine Corny finding out he's the reason why we know who that kid is.

Well, he has been tossed around for consecutive weeks by Lance, Brodie and Wardlow.
His body is fine, he over exaggerates a lot of his movements even when walking around to play up to his persona and look even more childlike in his over exuberance and naivety which is why you might that no he looks "fucked up" IE he's working you & he's doing a good job of it.
@Joe Greene yeah that's what he's doing, which is why he's super over as a plucky babyface in the company he wrestles for.
Facts are facts dude, over is over, he is wrestling in the second biggest wrestling promotion in the world & he gets some of the biggest pops and sells a tonne of merch.

Glad to see Jim was a man of his word, giving MJF all the praise.
By the way, I've had more fun watching this one match than anything from WWE this entire season, MJF is the new legend.

Wardlow is so green he's still workin on his ring walk, no way he's pulling off an over the top rope backflip & landing on his feet spot.
Check his steel cage match against Cody Rhodes and tell me if you think he is green

If AEW had been able to bring in Hammerstone and/or Holliday with MJF.....sheesh. That would have been amazing. Both of those guys have solid chemistry w/ MJF. Not saying his pairing with Wardlow is awful....but MJF & Hammerstone would have been better here. Hammerstone is further along than Wardlow. Much, much, much further along. Holliday, too....
Jim's alternate universe AEW booking is always incredible. Makes me wish he was actually involved with the company.

I just feel MJF is a straight rip off of EC3. These type of characters are like a mix of Bobby Heenan, Million Dollor man and Ric Flair.

Marko Stunt is on TV to be a sideshow and a spectacle.
Marko Stunt should be Spike Dudely. He's there so that if the heels beat him up it gets heat, he can occasionally hit a splash or hurricarrana to pop the crowd, and that's it. Putting him in a competitive match with anyone is just foolishness.

MJF uses/does a lot of Ted "Million Dollar man" DiBiase in his character. An I mean that in a very very good way. Huge use of arrogance as a turn off an way to get heat often.
Well, he is a heel that is living the gimmick which puts him head and shoulders above 90% of pro wrestlers nowadays. His "controversy" of flicking that kid off at that meet and greet was brilliant. Even MORE brilliant was him coming back onto Twitter the next day to say 3 simple words "fuck those kids." Mmmmmmwah. EXCELLENT heat magnet!

Even though I am not a fan of the AEW, the one feud I would love to see will be Jericho versus MJF. Those two are golden on the mic and in the wrestling ring.
Can't happen. The MJF character is a perfect Heel. And Jericho has always been best as an asshole. Neither should be compromised.

Marko Stunt is one of few situations I agree with Cornette on 1000%
MJF has become one of my favorites to see when I watch AEW. He has a character, cuts pretty good promos, pretty decent in the ring without having to do 5000 flips. Marko Stunt should get beat up in every match he's in. If they're doing a "sports-based" wrestling show, since the entire roster is bigger and stronger than him, everyone should be able to just knock the dude out with a few punches or counter him every time he tries a high spot and slam him to the ground
Where are the AEW Fans that are shitting on Jim for hating on AEW? This video is case in point. Jim actually likes the GOOD parts. MJF, Cody, Dustin, Arn. Guys that actually do PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING. Not the opera show that Omega and the Young Bucks think it is.

Only way it should be allowed for Marko stunt should be on a pro wrestling show is to have him on wrestling guys his size otherwise forget it.
Marko is there and will continue to be there because he does for Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus what Buddy Roberts* did for Terry Gordy and Michael Hayes. Marko can get his ass whipped, and it lets the heels get one over on Jungle Boy without actually getting one over on Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy still wants to kick the heels asses for what they did to his little buddy, and the heels can still strut about what they did. Marko vs Archer is dumb because Archer isn't going to be in a program with Jungle Boy or Luchasaurus. Marko vs MJF is genius because now this thing between Jungle Boy and MJF is personal. In addition, if Marko does manage to get some measure of revenge (even if it's some meaningless token gesture) it's going to lift the house.
*Buddy could also work, and call a match, and cut a promo, and Marko can't. That wasn't the point I was trying to make. :D
Jim is bang on again. Stunt should not be in any wrestling ring, in any promotion, in any country.
