I have to admit, Every time I watch AEW & something stupid, god awful or ridiculous happens (which is quite often) The first thing I think of is "I wonder what Corny is gonna have to say about this" 😂😂

You can tell JR and Schiavone don't care for the product and are just doing what they have to to get paid.
Which is also why Excalibur needs to be there right now IMHO. He's the only one they have in the booth that's up to speed on a lot of the more modern stuff their show is built around. (which is not to say they couldn't perhaps find someone better to fill that role)
JR, Schiavone, Cody and Dustin should get all the blame for this.. The tv production sucks and they got hall of famers allowing it to go on week after week..smh
I like Excalibur though because at least he acts like he cares about the product and actually shown improvement.. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about everybody else and that includes the wrestlers..

Sick of that high flying shit, the long matches, everybody kicking out of what should be a finishing move.
I don't mind a long match if the pacing is right, with high spots at the right times and true suspense. But I know what you mean.

I CONCUR 1000%. All the matches look the same. It's all spot, spot, spot, combinations of moves into a finisher and then 1000's false finishes by finishers.

Honestly,, I think bullet club is back on the rise, at least for me. They aren't as dominant, but they have become entertaining again.

AEW has become a slow-motion multiple car crash. Except the cars are filled with sideshow freaks and circus clowns.
The problem is that 99% of today's wrestlers are over value by fans and themselves back in the days most of these guys would have been low level mid-carded or jobbers very few of them would have been high level mid-carded and even less would have been main eventers so what we got is a bunch of wrestling shows with wrestlers that don't connect with fans and are not believable as wrestlers.

Actually, the jobbers in the 80s probably connected more with fans that today's upper level wrestlers. Koko B. Ware was actually over. So was Superfly Jimmy Snuka.
The marks used to be in the audience not in the ring.
Superfly Jimmy Snuka was not a jobber he was like one of the biggest WWF stars before Hulkamania back in the early 80s. (they wouldn't of covered up murder for any old no value jabroni)

I agree. It seems like all the wrestlers, men and women, have the same sequences and skillsets in AEW. Every match is going to have multiple dives to the outside, an enziguri, a running knee, a kick to the face from the apron, and more of the same. The producers need to sit everyone down and work out how many suicide dives and specialized moves are going to be on every show because it's getting ridiculous. Plus, the insane amount of false finishes ruin the matches. I like AEW despite my complaints, but I wish they'd smooth out certain kinks on TV.
I think part of the problem is that all these guys do is the TV show. There is nowhere you can get everyone together and work out the kinks like the house show circuit or an AEW Dark program that isn’t feeding into the main show like Velocity or Sunday night heat where you can screen test ideas before debuting it. That’s how Cena’s rap gimmick and look was put together. That’s how Viscera’s world’s largest love machine gimmick got put together. That’s how WWE built up London and Kendrick as a tag team and so on.
I've been callin them "The Fast Food Order" but The Dork Order works too.
Ive been tired of the bucks for awhile now. Especially on BTE going back to All In . With the non stop padding their selves on the back and with the self congratulations . It got old
Plus the fact that it became a what you call paid programming segment. "Coming soon, t-shirt blah blah. We made x amount of money last month on merch alone" Good for fucking you.🙄

I think the Dark Order are the fans, and the more we complain, the more the Dark Order grows. I'm letting this play out. AEW needs more than Cody with his amazing storytelling.
I don't agree with everything Corny says, but the ending of Dynamite was AWEFUL. And the Elite need to stop trying to put everyone and their momma over, and put the SHOW over...

I think it's safe to say that their honeymoon period has come and gone. I watch both WWE and AEW but I see nothing that makes me say AEW is any different than what I see in WWE. I never did buy the hype or bought in that it was going to be a Sports based Promotion. Especially when they don't take the win and loss thing seriously. I too am over Excalibur.
If ur comparing it to Raw/SD I have to sorely disagree. There may be times in WWE's history I could compare it to, but not the last decade

I was excited for AEW at first. Tuned in weekly. I wanted them to succeed. Last week, I didn't even bother.
It got old watching everybody just position to show off each other's super-groovy-hey-look-what-i-can-do move. Some of those moves, if sold right, should be killers. Yet, they kick out. Some are downright idiotic and, at most, should cause mild discomfort, and they finish an opponent.
And, then, we have the Dark Order, who evidently didn't get the memo that the Undertaker did their gimmick about 17 years ago.

Been going to live shows across the country since 1988 and I can honestly say the bucks weren't on fire until they kneeled for Dave creepy Meltzer.
And even a couple of years ago if there wasn't a camera they weren't getting huge crowds or big outside media reach.

@Mauricio93201 this is just one of their hustles. I don't really care for AEW or the Bucks, but they've always impressed me with their business sense. They worked a T-shirt deal into their own wrestling company.

The issues I have with Dork Order are the damn creepers (the look like damn sex slaves) in the gimmick and how they presented themselves overall. Evil Uno with some practice can easily pull off the motivational/cult leader role (especially with the suit on) and Grayson actually looks like an enforcer or muscle for Uno. Uno himself looks like a stout fatass, can't wrestle as well as Grayson can and they also went over by having Omega, Young Bucks and especially Cody get sacrificed to them, when they are supposed to be the top guys in the company. The Elite are becoming WAY TOO SELFLESS and people who turn in for the first time will think they are jobbing losers and only those who have looked into Cody, Omega and the Bucks past will take them seriously and think they are hot.
Speaking of Cody and Omega, this is now another storyline they have been in for the last month and it's getting relatively confusing. Cody now has 3 feuds (IC, MJF and Dork Order) and Omega already has a rivalry with Pac and spat with Hangman Page (who also is getting buried as of late)....
What they should have done (if they really wanted to use this team) was have Jurassic Express, Private Party and Best Friends get slaughtered by them so they can essentially become some remote threat to the tag team. Uno should also play the manager role and find either a guy for Grayson or take the 2 jobbers he brought into his fold and turn them into an actual threat.
Or release them and build BBB (who have actually grown on me) in the tag division until Lucha Bros can figure out what a Tag Team match is.

He has reviewed a few ofrhe recent episodes. It has mostly been praise. Hard to knock what NXT has done lately. I'm loving it

You should go back and watch Omega in Japan, against Okada at WrestleKingdom more specifially. His AEW stuff is different than his NJPW stuff.

Omega was big in Japan as Jay pointed out. The thing is Omega doesn't have the Okada that took him to the limit in AEW right now, nor do I think he ever will because they don't have God Emperor Gedo doing booking.

Although i had high hopes for AEW most of the time i just fast forward through the show just like WWE mainly because they have no story lines and the fact that most of them look and act like people waiting in line at a six flags ride.. If AEW wants to survive don't put on so many tag matches actually start building story lines and get rid of some of these independent rasslers which right now it kind of reminds me of championship wrestling that airs from Hollywood which is just god aweful and makes me want to vomit.. WWE yeah they have some story lines there is just nothing to really get behind they really lost me when they went PG i don't even know why i bother watching either product really

This. The moment they started marketing themselves as the Elite, you knew there'd be problems down the road. Even while with the group that helped put them over they were ready to abandon it and push themselves. Then crapped on executing the break-up in a way that everyone could have done better business with on their way out the door.
It really isn't good to burn bridges and I'd hate to see NJPW ever make a working agreement with AEW the way it is now. They'd drag NJPW's chances in the U.S. down the toilet faster than ROH on its best try.

Honestly, it wasn't that bad . Only thing I would change is don't bring out so many wrestlers. Cody, Dustin, and Kenny didn't really need to come to the ring. Other than that, it wasn't that bad. (Except that guy throwing bad fake punches. of course)
