@@AgnesBooth-zu7tw There's nobody qualified to make a brand new game, unless people are ok with lower standards than the Kojima games. Remakes in this style that preserve the same game structure, same cutscene cinematography, and same script, are very safe and the right direction. That's the kind of stuff that "anyone can make" and doesn't need Kojima. But for anything new, that's a totally different situation.
@@AgnesBooth-zu7twPersonally the only way I can accept new games is if there's a franchise reboot and a brand new story with different characters. So "Kojima's MGS" is officially separated from the "New guy's MGS" and neither him or Konami can exploit Kojima's creations to full extent. The guy will have to work his way to build a new legend and make a name for himself.
7:00 I would just wave him through airport security. The plane is safer with Snake on board. Also it's insane how iconic Lori Alan's voice is. As soon as she spoke, I was like "Boss!?"
Just to correct one thing. They aren't just reusing old voice recording, they recorded new lines too. And of course they are getting paid as this is a new game, so they have related rights to their voice in a new product.
This gathering made the game so much more special, I really hope to see something in the future for them in other games on the same level of production as MGS3.
This is exactly what I expected from the voice over work, its amazing and there was all these hints when you tried to look into who everyone was and what was done to make such legendary performances
Is she the anti-hero though? Not once in the game does she do something "bad", and certainly not of her own volition. She is literally a "hero" all the way through.
MGS was made as an anti-war story. Most of the characters are bad people. Kojima never even wanted you to think of Solid Snake as a hero. He was very disappointed how many of his fans seemed to have misunderstood his games and idolized these characters.
@@cleverman383 That's as bad an interpretation of MGS as I have ever seen. Kojima wanted players to hate war, but emphasize with the *soldiers*. Boss was sent deep cover, then allowed to be killed for political expediency rather than bring her home. Big Boss was forced to kill his mentor. Snake was *genetically engineered and raised to be a soldier with no agency*. Revolver Ocelot had his own insanely miserable life story. One of the main running themes of the series is how soldiers are used and abused by politicians and governments, and how said soldiers eventually react to this treatment.

It's like if The Boss was pearl from spongbob or something, oh wait
@@Guarayakha la li lu le lo!?
I love that David can't help but say Snake lines whenever he can XD You can see the character really meant a lot to him.
He is practically doing holiday events with Snake's voice every year for fun. And yes he is dedicated.
Also he earned additional respect for me when he opted to take a pay cut rather than see his castmates get replaced while working on Twin Snakes.
So Jodi Benson (Eva) is the Voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid🧜🏼♀
Lori Alan (Boss) is the Voice of Pearl in Spongebob Squarepants... 🐋
Next you'll be telling me David Hayter was the Screenwriter for X-Men... Wait, what?!🤯
Brian Cumming voiced a lot of cartoon characters
Whats insane to me is David wrote Xmen 1 and 2 AND THE FREAKING WATCHMEN SCREENPLAY!
If you look up the term “aging like fine wine” you should see a picture of these ladies.
David Hayter legitimately has some of Snake’s aura. Maybe his eyes too
Cool dude
Volgin:Cut them out.
I would love if this was a TV series of David Hayter talking about every MSG he worked on with the OG cast members. Even with him interviewing the other people in GZ & TPP as an episode.
"Your hands have never been so loved"
David: "Well...." LMAO
To be perfectly honest, I've always wanted a prequel with the boss and the cobra unit in ww2.
I always said this it be perfect
Too bad they aren't doing it.
Only remakes existing, too much comfortable zone.
Kojima actually wanted to do something like that.
7:00 I would just wave him through airport security. The plane is safer with Snake on board.
Also it's insane how iconic Lori Alan's voice is. As soon as she spoke, I was like "Boss!?"
Pearl?
Oh great... So it's "Snakes on the plane" now... ;)
Not if Samuel L Jackson was working security that day
love to see the ladies that helped make a beautiful franchise. Great to see them getting kept on and respected in the project.
I really hope the game comes complete in the physical disc to be able keep it for the long run without needing an update
I hope all the cast are getting paid again even though they are reusing the old voice recording.
They are? That's odd
Just to correct one thing. They aren't just reusing old voice recording, they recorded new lines too. And of course they are getting paid as this is a new game, so they have related rights to their voice in a new product.
@@l4nd3r where did you read that they're recording new lines?
@@kaozspartan9289 they probably have to because of the different controls. They did it for the HD collection and I assume they have to again for this
@@kaozspartan9289 11:49 David said so
This gathering made the game so much more special, I really hope to see something in the future for them in other games on the same level of production as MGS3.
This is exactly what I expected from the voice over work, its amazing and there was all these hints when you tried to look into who everyone was and what was done to make such legendary performances
The Boss is the greatest female antagonist/antihero in all of media. Her storyline to the game literally shaped the entire universe of MGS.
@@LikeAGentlemanPlease yep!! Strongly agree!!
@@kir44n19 "Don't deny it! You love the killing!"
"I'm no hero. Never was, never will be. Just a man who does what he loves.... killing."

No boss. Thank you. You're performance was absolutely stunning. I weeped like a baby when I first played the final fight scene. Truly iconic. I can hear every character in this interview. That's wild
I want to thank all of oyu for your great work. You are immortal now. I have seen people going into real combat wearing MGS patches.
I’m so excited to play this! It looks gorgeous. Glad to have you back, David. Also, I was MGS3 Snake for Halloween this year and I brought a box to work with me to complete the character.
I love how much of a fan of metal gear David is!
I think it’s so awesome when voice or body actors sit down with the community to talk about the game. Resident Evil for example. Most of the time I feel like they had no idea the size of the fanbase. But everyone always seems gracious when reflecting.
Im so dead @ 4:40
Lori - “Your hand has never been so loved”
David - “Well..”

David Hayter can never be replaced.
Let's go! He's back!!!
The hype is real. Awesome sit down. Thanks to everyone who came together for this!
Jodi can be the face model for big momma when they remake MGS 4👀🔥🔥🔥
Favorite game of the PS2 generation, so happy to see it receive a remake for a new generation. These voice actors gave life to truly unforgettable characters!
Looks cool, but where is release date?
Must complete Master Collection version on Very Hard to reveal release date. Zero kills.
I wish that was true. Completed the master collection with a platinum trophy for mgs1, mgs2 and mgs 3...

I just can't believe how different their natural voices are.
Like their normal voices are just that, normal.
Their game voices, specially The Bosses and Snakes are so powerful and charismatic you'd think that would be their real ones, so bizarre!
Other companies: Reveal the release date, then do promotions.
Konami: Do promotions, still waiting for release date.
@@LogicalError007 kept you waiting huh?
Rather have it that way, tired of games being pushed back 5 times.
At this point I’m thinking they are just going to shadow launch it like they did with Death Stranding on Xbox
One of my favorite games of my childhood , so cool seeing this video , I’m 31 now and it’s crazy seeing all this 💪🏽💪🏽
I played this over and over as a kid. Excited for the refresh.I flipped shit when I finally got a PS2 and a copy of sons of liberty. Metal gear solid was my favorite games growing up.
Sincerely, this is a video I would’ve loved to have watched anyways regardless of the new game’s release. Genuinely excellent hearing the original voice cast reminisce about the game
My jaw dropped like Sebastian the Crab from the Little Mermaid when he said Eva was played by Jodi Benson.
What an amazing introduction, and reveal of actors in the game. Thanks for giving us fans the opportunity to get a small sneak peak into this hopefully amazing game.
They're showing so little gameplay it makes me feel this game isn't coming out for another year
We are already in November so ya this probably won’t be out till next year at best
I hope game awards will reveal more gameplay but I dopnt expect the game to release at least until summer next year.
Looking like a summer release, no way konami would release Detla right after silent hill 2
You guys are all so impatient 😅 I don't care if they take 5 years each to remake these old games they are going to be incredible. Let them take the time to make sure there is no issues and it's perfect. Remember the gta trilogy remaster and how terrible it was on release, that's what happens when they rush. Good things come to those who wait 😋
Pretty much the only game I'm looking forward to at this point. Metal gear solid never gets old.
Damn I just beat mgs3 for the 2nd time in 7 years and those ladies sound just like they did in the game when they’re casually speaking. So cool. And I can REALLY hear it because I completed the game last night!
Thank you cast. Thank you.
I am so hyped up for this game and WHAT Ariel is EVA?
I met David Hayter last year and in real life he is as legendary as solid snakes legacy. He's an amazingly talented person who cares a lot for his fans. Easily one of the absolute coolest and most kind celebrities out there.

Yeah I really loved that detail. It was a nice touch and very noticable to me the first time I played the original game

Saw your comment after I posted mine 😂
Very charming cast! Loved the original. The title of this video should have been different thou.
Thank you for all the memories you gave to us gamers 🙏🏻
This video really needs to end with "Kept you waiting huh?"
They should put bits of this into an Easter egg codec call on delta 😄
Love these voice actors, iconic performances!
Hope its the same VO director...she is amazing, watch the documentary about the voice work for mgs1 and mgs twin snakes
They use the same recordings as the original.
They may probably record a few extra lines, but that's it, the rest is the same files.
I absolutely love this. Brought a smile to my big jaded face. Can't wait to experience this again in all its updated glory.
Two of my greatest achievements in my career are as a content creator, having him on my podcast, and as an artist, creating his logo for his production company. His performances paired with the epic storytelling are why I do content creation and visual design. Absolute legend and dope human being. It's awesome to learn more about Lori and Jodi as well!
