upgraded to the canister style air filter on my Kawasaki FR651V on my Husqvarna zero turn. link to buy the upgrade kit: www.powerequipmentman.com/pro...
@@bombidude Yes, I used the provided bracket to install it directly on the bar. Works really good, been using it that way for two years. You would never know it did not come that way.
I just installed this kit on my fr691v. Have you seen any issues yet? Mine seems to be running great. The normal filter was getting clogged up fairly often.
Is there a certain direction or orientation the inner and outer filter must fit in? Or does it matter ? Is it simply just a simple push in filter with no exact or proper orientation ? I noticed on the end of the inner filter there's 6 notches towards the motor side. And 6 notches on the air filter housing it seals against. It would be virtually impossible to line them up and know if they were lined up after installed. I'm assuming orientation doesn't matter and you just push them in with any orientation.
@@ryanfarmer5155 do NOT do this unless you change out the main jet for a large size. Kawasaki does it in the factory when they sell with this sized air filter. You WILL burn up your motor!!!!
Thats a nice addition ! I'm looking at selling my husky tractor and getting this exact model zero turn. I have an unrelated question. The 3M works bluetooth earphones you have.....how are they for volume while you are mowing? Loud enough to listen to a podcast ? Liked and subscribed :)
@@willssmallenginerepairllc5060 , Thanks for the quick response ! I saw the new ones too, but they are $130 here in Canada. Local store has the older model on sale for $70, and after hearing they work well for mowing i think i will pick them up
let us know when you get backfires, misfires, etc. and even if you dont, make a video of you pulling the spark plugs and show us the color. the people that sell these are going to tell you it doesnt need to be retuned because they dont want to lose a sale, the engine manufactures dont want to say anything because of emissions and lawsuit, the engine rebuilders say the carb needs to be adjusted. only one way to find out, you can video the plugs now, and again after say 10-20 hours and report back.
I'll pull them at the end of the mowing season and have a look at them. I have about 3.5 hours on it with the upgrade air filter and no problems so far
Great video! Thank you for your support!
Awesome!! Yep that was the first thing I did to my yazoo Kees with the fh500v
That's a beast of a unit! Nice vid.
Great accessory for dusty areas! My neighbors Kawie fills up the stock filter pretty fast! I find Donaldson replacement elements on Amazon for those.
I am in the process of adding this upgrade to my FR691V on my 2021 Cub cadet ZT2 54" zero turn. I can have a lot of dust on my property at times.
Did you find problems installing this filter kit to your zt2 because of the bar that runs across the engine?

Awesome I just ordered the kit for my zt2 50.. Thanks for video

No issues at all yet

Open end of the inner filter goes towards the engine

Well? Any updates, you still like it, would you recommend it? Any loss of power or complaints? Thanks. Ryan in Michigan
Have just over 13 hours on the mower now, so about 7 hours on the upgraded air filter kit and zero complaints

3m worktunes are perfect for mowing. Plenty loud enough. I upgraded to the ones with gel ear pads and love them. About 55-60 bucks on Amazon
