And as for the black Americans' right to vote, that was briefly granted after the UTTERLY TREASONOUS Southern States took up arms against the USA, caused a deadly conflict that they stated in ALL of their articles of secession (a synonym for treasonous rebellion) was to preserve slavery, and then that armed rebellion claimed about ONE MILLION AMERICAN LIVES, well that brief right to vote was quickly taken away once American Military Forces were withdrawn from the former Confederate States causing the collapse of Reconstruction and the revocation of black voting rights throughout the South. Even in this 21st century we are seeing what federal courts are describing as "surgical precision" voting registration laws passed that have once again taken the right to vote away from all too many 1,000's of black Americans!
