ANOTHER AFTER WORK QUICKIE UP IN THE CHEVIOTS, SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED TO GET OUT. I TALK A RIGHT LOAD OF OLD RUBBISH IN THIS, REPEATING MYSELF A LOT. INAPPROPRIATE IMPRESSIONS AND GENERAL DRUNKENNESS. I BLAME THE ELVES ON THE WILDCAMPING SHELVES FOR THAT. I EVENTUALLY FOUND WHAT I LOST IN THIS, APOLOGIES IF YOU DONT LIKE THE CHAT BUT THERE WAS REALLY NOTHING ELSE TO DO LOL.
HOPE TO GET OUT AGAIN NEXT WEEK,
IVE SET ADS TO BE ONLY AT THE START, SO IF THERE IS MORE MID ROLL (WHICH I CANT BEAR BTW) THEN ITS NOT ME DOING IT.

Don't know how old you are but you must have at least 15yrs left getting out. 😊 I got back into it 2yrs now, (I'm 71) after a long gap and after having stage 3 cancer 4yrs ago. Stay positive and continue to do what you do, while you still can.😊 I truly believe, a positive attitude helps get you through rough times. Happy ventures.😊
Andy...another enjoyable video. I'm now 66 years old, and started doing wild camps for the last 2 years, thanks to you, Paul Messner, Scotland's Mountains and many more. I struggle now with arthritis in my hip and lower back, so it is only short walks I can manage with the Bergen on. Regards your misplaced gadget bag, I had a similar situation returning from a holiday with the wife, pulled into a picnic area, got the stove out to make soup and tea.....no lighter, approached a young guy sitting in his car....non smoker, saw an Airstream parked up, approached them...loaned me a lighter....there after I have a lighter / fero rodin every stove bag and pot set ( and in the car)...keep them coming young man 🏴🥃🏴🥾🥾🥾🥾

I think we all have moments of thinking about our own mortality. I have recently and its bloody depressing mate. Live life to the full as you are. And getting out defo helps andy.

I'm still out camping in me 50s an can't think of ever stopping.funny I've recorded some of my camps for future ref.an for me lad ..ur an inspiration for older campers😂.. an no backup matches or steel...that katsu curry was grinning at u.

Possible explanation for missing views over subscriber numbers could be if their alerts aren't turned on. I never used to bother turning on notifications but I've subscribed to so many channels now I never get round to looking at the ones I don't have alerts turned on for. Carry on camping and remember you don't stop because you get old - you get old because you stop.

Brilliant fella with perfect waffle and down to earth . Gutted you lost your pouch of fire but glad you survived the night there and not nicking Ants handle there. I would of sulked all night without my warm dinner and brew.. You need a steel striker on a lanyard for backup. Just love a night hike; and as for cabin fever I fully appreciate the meaning! Same here with my channel it is more for me and my friends and kids. Plus I love filming and editing. Me wife says I most likely watch my videos more than anyone else 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Night hikes are good if you know the area I’m a fan. I don’t mind editing and all that. I tend to throw videos together these days though. I used to spend a lot more time editing. But now I’ve no time. 👍

Just had my Uberlite replaced. Didn’t completely fail, just one of the baffles at the foot end blew so thought I’d send it back before it got any worse. They’re definitely a bit fragile. No agro from Thermarest when It came to sending it back, so nee complaints from me.
Do you reckon it’s warm enough to use right through the winter or do you swap it out with a cold forecast?
Great service from them. It’s my second one so I’m not hopeful about it. Too lightweight I reckon. As for all year use I’m unsure. I’ll let you know. Coupled with the foil mat it may be ok. Not really had a chance to test it yet. 👍

You could of done a food review on cold Katsu curry. Also be good if team up with Bushman and plan the most exstreme winter storm camp this winter, like 80 mph winds and bliding snow storm. with a lighter.

You have learnt one important lesson, keep your backupin a different place. My backup is waterproof matches that I keep at the bottom of my rucksack. Eating pork pies cold though is not on, I'd have called mountain rescue.
I was tempted to get helicopter out like. But beer helped. Yeah I now have a stash in my backpack so no more incidents. It’s not the first time either 😂😂😂

You were experiencing many varying emotions on this one Andy......ending myself laughing 😂😂😂😂. Madman. Can I ask, is that headtorch magnetless. It looks great but these powerful torches seem to all come with magners (for tradesmen probably) but they wreck your compass. My olight one died but it had a magnet you could use for scrap fishing. Nae use.
No magnet on this one. It’s a c type charger. I’m loving it. Dead simple and easy to use. Plenty Bright too. 👍

Im sure you'll have answered this loads (and so sorry for asking) but I can't think of anyone that'll have used the tents more! Black label vs red? Would you go back? Is the black worth the extra? Just how much better is it really?
If I was going to buy a soulo id go for black as the price difference is minimal. Or at least it was when I got mine. Only £50 difference at the time. It definitely feels more solid too. 👍

great camp there mate i prefare the winter camps to the other seasons but im looking for a first 4 season bag for myself and i have settled for a OEX leviathan EV900 down £170 give us your thoughts as i don,t want to pay to much as i don,t go out all the time once every couple of months because im just building my stuff up. PEACE from the liverpool r kid😊 and i don,t want to pay to much case someone robs it off me being in the pool 😉
Have a look on UA-cam at reviews of that bag. That’s how I choose gear. Try to find someone who bought it themselves and not gifted. You’ll get a good idea then. I like my Rab ascent bags. Never been cold in my 1100 so far. 👍

Laphroig is a canny touch, back in my alcohol days, whisky was my go to for all aches & pains & Laphroig & Talisker, in fact most West Coast whisky's as I love the earthy, peaty ones, were amongst ma faves. 18 mins in........
