A WILD GOOSE CHASE LOOKING FOR A NON EXISTENT HILL IN THE CHEVIOTS. A NICE WALK AND A FEELING OF SOLITUDE. THE WIND WAS WILD AGAIN SO RATHER THAN SETTLE FOR A WILD NIGHT I SOUGHT SHELTER IN THE SHEEP STELL. IT WAS BLOCKED OFF BUT I GOT PITCHED OUTSIDE OF IT. WHICH TURNED OUT JUST RIGHT. I SETTLED IN AND HAD A GREAT NIGHT. ITS NOT ALWAYS ABOUT TESTING YOURSELF AND EQUIPMENT ITS ABOUT HAVING AN ENJOYABLE COMFORTABLE NIGHT IN THE WILD. 👍

Broadstruther was an old farmhouse on a drove road which went to Morpeth via langleeford. Its obv been done up and is a privately owned shoot lodge. Fair play to ya for keeping going andy. Always good to use the sheep stells for shelter out the wind 🎉🎉

high winds are awful to walk in especially when at hight. I was walking in the lakes a lot of years ago and a group of us had to crawl on hands and knees passed a gap because the wind was so strong it was totally unsafe!!!!
I’ve done many of those. Exhilarating and a nightmare at the same time. As long as we’re safe 👍

The farmer must have blocked the entrance plus it was a bit lumpy inside. Good spot where I was though. I was happy with that. Aye never mix your drinks 😝 with craftys you can though. 👍
