Excellent vid loved it. Good tent choice it was needed. What I like is no moaning about yt money, no product pushing, no E begging, just having fun on a hill in a tent. Its what it should be.

Excellent video as always andy , I'm just getting into car camping, got a citroen picasso c4 so just subbed your van camp channel . Haven't been in the cheviots in years even though I'm just down the road, can see it from the top of sheriff hill in gateshead and always say , be there soon but never get there , hopefully in the new year
You should head up. So many places and nice and quiet. Usually. Car camping is a cold thing this time of year. My tip is get a good quilt. Like the one of your bed. It’s a good way to get out though. Hope you manage. Atb 👍
@AndyWardle last car camp I did was at bamburgh Castle in 1 of the car parks right on the beach , was perfect , had my 12 years old son with me and he absolutely loved it . 1 of the very best locations in the North east coast

For a small hill it’s amazing. You get the whole college valley. East coast and the solway skyline. I do like it up there. 👍

Need a solo again, man against nature vibe.looks a good headtorch im happy with ny selection. Hard to explain to people why you like a bad weather camp but not all the time of course. Should be oot with my Billy but you wont see my Wullie hes no going.

😂 yeah. My top tip is watch the weather forecast. Up there exposed like that it changes dramatically very quickly. Glad I had the right tent on this occasion. My poor summer tent would’ve died in that. The part I didn’t film was 40-50mph gusts like. 👍

Yeah flat top hills are prone to wind. It’s not too high though so was ok. It’s popular up there for the views. Some stunning scenery. Thanks for watching. 👍

Alright Andy, great pitch again, the wind looked brutal. I tend to use your videos, especially in the bad weather to see what I could possibly get away with in the BL Soulo. You are the test pilot 😂😂😂. Can I ask why u take the Fire Maple and the MSR stove together on a camp.
😂 glad to be of service. I take the FM for boiling water and the MSR is my stove for cooking with the pan. It spreads the heat great. Jetboil type stoves burn the pan doing that. 👍

@@Peter-Lindsay 😂 you put the receiving canister in the freezer for 5 mins. Then drain the donor. Don’t overfill it though. And when you first use the refilled gas beware of flaring. It soon returns to normal though. Just go steady.
