    You can also adjust the tension of the chain with the rear axle tensioners on the back. Much easier than just moving the whole engine to adjust the chain.

      Just did this, already had a governor bypass and performance pipe, it's probably good to scoot that engine all the way up and adjust with the rear adjustment, I ran out of daylight and test drove and lost my chain pretty fast 😂 I was too excited to go and knew I had way too much slack

      @@LeonardE-kq4xw you could add a chain tensioner some how. If your chain is snapping I bet your master link clip is flipped. I haven’t really had too much trouble with that as long as your chain is pretty tight but not too tight😂 I would have maybe a half inch to an inch of play?? With a governor tweak this would work better with a 60 tooth sprocket. Not as hard on the clutch.

    • @karlschwab6437
      @karlschwab6437 Рік тому

      Govenor tweak could damage flywheel magnet and then coil if RPM is too high. Ask me then what happens?

    • @Deucealive75
      @Deucealive75 Рік тому +2

      @@karlschwab6437 OK. Let me be more specific. I'm not talking about governor removal or bypass. I'm talking about getting a tach and adjusting max governed to support the 60 tooth sprocket change. Most guys don't know how and jump right to governor removal or bypass.
      No need to school me on flywheels.

    • @lotus6314
      @lotus6314 11 місяців тому

      @@Deucealive75that’s an interesting idea. You clearly understand how these engines can’t push to much rpm’s. I’m curious since with the straight chain you should gain some speed off it. But with a larger sprocket you’d even get better acceleration with less rpm’s but a lower top speed. Possibly.. I wonder if it would just even out or what would happen. Might take you up on that.

    • @Deucealive75
      @Deucealive75 11 місяців тому

      @@lotus6314 The top speed should be close but would just run higher RPM. A 60 tooth would just be better to straight chain to than the 50 tooth.

    • @JJC991
      @JJC991 11 місяців тому

      @@karlschwab6437I have 3 minibikes with bypassed governors. Don't abuse your engine and it wont blow up. I build engines for a living and in telling you... Bypassing the governor / remove the NG the governor will NOT blow up your flywheel / connecting rod. Excessive engine rpms under a low will however do this. Just don't push your engine, don't run high rpms for a long period of time. Or, just get a CVT (torque convertor) most 30 series CVTs will top out at 4000rpm on a stock engine. I weigh 235lbs, stock 212 with bypassed governor and 40T rear sprocket gets me to 75 km/h at 4000rpm. That's fast enough for a minibike and you're not pushing your engine towards redline (5000rpm)

      You take off the jackshaft 2: combine the two chains and you will have to use chain break to fit it. 3: flip clutch around. Takes off pretty slow but good for road riding. Top speed for me is 51
