    This is the info I needed. You'd be amazed how hard it was to find someone who did this comparison. Straight Chain vs Jack Shaft. A ton of other channels advertise it but then jumped all around with other stuff and never actually did the comparison. Thank You! I'm all about the speed and try to avoid hills so I'm gonna try the straight chain method and see how it goes. Good Job.

      Straight chain is good for speed and the jackshaft gives you a little more torque and speed but the torque unit will give you more speed and more climbing power

    I used to carry extra master links. I think its best to just hard link the chain. No master link. Always carry a tool kit and maybe an extra chain. It will save you some heartache.

    • @sekovittol3124
      @sekovittol3124 Рік тому

      The master links I have are longer width-wise, than the chain. It's the right link for the chain though apparently.
      I have had interference problems with the link hitting the sprockets, or the frame, mostly fixed, but yeah, problems seem to come from the master link.

      I’ve busted a master link only when it wasn’t installed correctly!
      I’ve been thru 3 engines and countless builds, never busted or popped a link or chain. I always line up sprockets and clutches whole drive train needs to be right, tension especially! We race these things w smaller chains less weight= faster
      35# plenty strong for pulling one!
      Even closer to 20hp there using #35
      Also make sure all sprockets are for the chain your using. Biggest mess up I see a lot. Determining when your chain needs replacement ! Chain needs to hug your sprocket all the way around ! If you can move the chain more than a couple mm then you may wanna replace it!
      20$-amazon fix the problem and worry! Just double check your sizes before buying!

    Very cool. Def have top end speed with the straight chain. You’d blow the wheels off my Coleman. But I’d drive by you on the hills. I changed to a torque converter and found all the hill climbing power I could want. You could start halfway up your drive from a dead stop and it pull you to the top quick. Have to be carful or it’ll pull wheelies.

      Heck no the torque unit gives it even more top end for speed and more climbing power even more than the jackshaft

    On them you choose which you want, power and 40ish mph, or speed on flat roads lol
    But throw a Predator 212 stage 1 and 2 kits you can get power AND some more speed...
    Or the predator 224 with stage 1 and 2 and get even more power and speed 😁👍

      The Ghost is just a cam and carb. Nothing special but is nice for those who don't want to build their own. And it's not that difficult to get Ghost 212 power out of a 196. There are 196's out there with much more power than the Ghost 212.
