I use Hitchcocks rasiers,,they are the back to you and up,,, the cables fitted no sweat,,and it has transformed the bike.... Maybe its your bars are a different size,,, Barkbusters are too spendy,,,you can do alot better for your money
I like many have ridden many bikes in my day. I purchased a new 2022 Himalayan two weeks ago, close to 1500 miles now and I've really enjoying what the bike offers. Some suggest its inferior! I ask to what ? The bike doesn't over promise on what it is capable of so therefore it is successful in delivery. 80 mpg is ok in my book. The savings pays for alot of fuel and the 3 year unlimited mileage warranty is awesome. Ride on Mike enjoy !
I think the classic 500 has a sightly longer clutch cable, i changed it when i did my risers. Bark busters go on the outside of the end weights, not the inside of the weights. Thats why yours are hitting the dash
@@advmike Yes I did,,,if the stock bearings are stuck you need the right tools (pullers ) ,,,and at the same time I had fitted the YSS fork upgrade kit... improving the suspension is a worthwhile mod ,,but only if the bikes a keeper....
Hey man. Enjoyed your video. Keep it up! One thing though: You put the balance weigths on the outside of the Barkbusters. I am pretty sure they are intended to go in the inside ;)
TIP: Loosen but do not take apart the kill switch/ throttle assembly. Remove the bar clamps and you can move the bars enought to slide the throttle assembly off. Reverse this for installation.
Not on the himalayan, the switches have a locating pin that requires you to fully disassemble the switch, you can't get it loose enough to get the pin out if the bar then slide it.
I didn’t torque them to a specific number. With all my bikes I just tighten them down to the “That’s not going anywhere” feeling. It’s not like the motor where there are moving parts to consider. You’ll be ok. 👍👍
Hey mike nice Customizations..! I have himalayan From India..! And please tell me where the Black Clutch and Brake levers spare available..😮😮😍😍 ! And is it worth the Clutch , Front brake Handle custom levers for fingers to grip ..?? please leave me reply. ! Thanks !!😁😁
Congrats on your Himi! I'll link the levers on ebay below, but it's the American site so you'll want to search your local site. I like being able to adjust the levers to better fit my grip. For that reason, they are totally worth it! www.ebay.com/itm/144994700971?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=MQgQNOYfQNC&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Great build series. Just found your channel. I was surprised with all the views that many didn't subscribe. Sometimes a simple "don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss out on the next video " mentioned 1/3, 1/2 way and at the 3/4 mark with a simple graphic on screen for 2-2.5 seconds, does wonders. I wondered that as well why aren't the bolts and handle bar black. Not to mention the skid plate. 😊 Thanks for sharing. 💪👍🛠
YOU BUY THESE INFERIOR BIKES AND YOU END UP REPLACING EVERYTHING AND IT COSTS YOU MORE IN THE END. I DONTY GET IT. HANDLES BAD, NO POWER, 2 UP IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE, LOAD IT UP AND ITS EVEN WORSE. JUST GET A KTM, AFRICA TWIN, YAMAHA, AND STOP STRUGGLING.
Lol it's aftermarket, everyone has done this to every bike since the beginning of time, not to mention most parts/accessories for this bike are very inexpensive
Mikey B has never risen a royal enfield Himalayan. No one I have come across says it handles poorly and it handles loads like a champ. Who rides an adv 2 up anyway?
Well Mikey. I love my Himalayan, done heaps of Ks on it. It does alll things I want it to do. Got no interest in getting one of those uninferior bikes. I also enjoy personalizing it to my taste, which is very affordable. Enjoy riding your uninferior bike, we don't all need one!
Any recommendations on bar risers?
Use Thunderbird clutch cable it works for me👍
Use steel washer to set the bar height... It's helps

One of the best mods is fitting taper roller bearings,,, the bike just feels so much better
Interesting. Did you have a shop install those? Does it add power or even out torque curve?

@@lipsee100 Oh! I was thinking roller bearings for valves. 😆 I didn't even think about the head bearing on the tree. Good call.
@@advmike I did wonder !!!

I had trouble finding space for the inside connection point. That said, you're probably right. ;)

Good idea. I wish I had thought of that. 🤔😁

Glad I could help! 👍🏻
Very well presented 👍
Appreciate it!

Hi...pls help!...min 4:23... how much torque (nm) do the handlebar bolts have?

I opted for a brace rather than replacing the whole bar. They are dirt cheap even if it does bend. Like $20

Thanks! I go back and forth on the skid plate. Considering a Happy Trails model but I don’t ride hard enough to justify it.
There's nothing wrong with the silver handlebar for me, anyway
