Channel Purpose: **Help people experience adventure.**
This purpose can be accomplished in several ways:
* Showing actual adventures (day trips or overnight outings)
* Bike specific prep and modifications
* Travel gear and equipment reviews
"Adventure" can mean different things to different people. For me that usually means loading up and visiting a remote place, preferably away from crowds of people. I prefer solitude or a small close-knit group who can comfortably share silence.
Why Motorcycles?
Starting with a Yamaha TTR 125 in my late 30's (way too small for a guy my size) I fell in love with motorcycling. Soon came road bikes and dual-sport riding. After my first moto-camping trip, I was hooked. I knew I'd be chasing that feeling every chance I could. And I hope to document that passion through this channel.

Why you should AVOID the Honda Navi & Three Better Options for New Riders
I think the Honda Navi is a well made machine. I also think the use case for this bike is fundamentally flawed for traveling on American roads.

I was able to modify my Giant Loop quick release pannier mounts to fit the stock pannier racks on the Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition. While this did require me to drill a few holes, I have been pleased with the way the panniers go on and off the bike. I've been using the Giant Loop Mototrekk panniers for a while now and they've served me well. Between the Mototrekk panniers and the Tillamook d...

“As someone who has risen bigger bikes and more powerful bike” yeah did this isn’t meant to be a powerhouse. It’s just meant to get from a to b
good video. Very helpful. However: are you sure you can really put 10 full turns (=360°) on the rear preload? I have the Husquvarna 901 expedition (reduced height) and cannot get more than 6 full turns.
you do know it's actually a scooter right?
A middle aged guy trying to assume what a college students needs. 😂
Hey Mike can you tell me the size and name of the exhaust bolt 12mm and 10mm . I am getting trouble finding those
you don't need a gas gauge to figure mpg
Its not designed to go off road as such. Lacks the ground clearance & suspension travel as well as it's simply a bit heavy. You probably need the new Himalayan 450.
These are all over the place here in NYC everyone from delivery drivers to commuters. maybe 35% of the vehicles in the city. the wealthy yuppies operate Vespas.
Think better forks would be good.
Hey Mike, would you say its mainly your height that got in the way of touring comfort? I'm a first time buyer and am seriously considering this bike.
What have you done with the tires? People who buy a bike only to try and change everything about it, should maybe take more time in choosing a bike more suited to them, 🙄
I used to have a 49cc Honda Metropolitan And I rode that thing all over the place. Excluding the interstate. But I didn't need the interstate. I could get anywhere I needed to go. And not just local riding either. I would ride to Raleigh, Knightdale, Chapel Hill, Durham, Hillsborough. I put so many miles on that scooter. I wish I still had it.
Good video but dude, if you are packing 150lbs of gear you are missing the boat with this bike. 50lbs is easily obtainable and will make the bike handle like it was meant to. 150lbs has got to kill the handling.
if you want to drive, buy a car or truck - don't buy a go kart. if you want to cycle, buy a real motorcycle or a real motor scooter made for over the road travel. don't buy a toy and drive it like a car or motorcycle. it's dangerous. you can get a $400 - $500 little e-scooter with a 750-watt motor on amazon and tool around your neighborhood. no gas, insurance, or motorcycle license needed. for a little more you can get an e-bike and hit 30 - 45 mph easily. plus many of them fold up and you can put them right in your car's trunk and take them around. don't buy a plastic toy bike and ride it like a Harley. you're gonna hurt yourself or someone else someday - guaranteed.
did a valve adjustment and the valve cover gasket had a leak, i had a spare gasket so i replaced it. What a nightmare that was . these navi bikes in my opinion are not that easy to work on, but i do it 😁 you tube has some good videos on navi repairs. The Honda dealers will really charge you lots of money for repairs. My navi is a 2022 and so far I've done all repairs myself. I've had many motorcycles and mopeds over the years so I've had experience working on bikes .
i Installed dr. Pully sliders and right away i noticed a big difference. Quicker acceleration , higher speed with less throttle and better gas mileage. Did a 50 mile round trip to Mexico. 99% of the time i stayed at 45 mph. But had plenty of throttle to spare . at 50 mph. i still wasn't at full throttle. My sliders are 13 gram . stock rollers are 17 grams.
Your criticisms are just a bunch of stereotypes about young people. Sounds like you're too old, grandpa.
Well, if you'll miss it, keep it😁 it's cheap, reliable and, well, you don't get a lot of money back if you trade it😇
When I was a lot younger, there were only trail bikes and road bikes. We too our road bikes to a lot of places they were'nt designed to go to. It's just a matter of adjusting your riding style. These days, we're spoilt for choice.
Says exactly what it was built to do. Then trashes it for being completely adequate at what it was built for. Then talks college campus transportation. Which he’s apparently never been on. Smaller bikes and scooters are everywhere. Even when i took my son to tour Iowa. Which I doubt has a very long riding season.
Ive got the 2021 890R, the stock spring had zero static sag, at no preload. Maybe 3/4" sag with my 180 lbs on the bike. The shock didnt move over 1/2" on a really rough road, according to the zip tie I put on the shock shaft. So yeah, I didnt get a good one. I put a 2 rate softer spring on the back, which is still too stiff, at no preload I get 2" of sag with me on it. The clickers make no difference at all, the shock doesnt like to move much in general. Great bike, needs an entirely new aftermarket shock is what I see. Its only money. KTM states proper sag, which is 80mm or 3 and 1/3 inches....sag is the very first thing that gets set, most ignore it. Every review I saw, and there were a lot, said the suspension was great, the best ever, amazing. Mine is a buckboard but is fine on smooth roads.
I've spent most of my life riding Harleys and I own a Honda 750 Shadow. I love my Navi. So disappointed in your review.
I bought a Honda Ruckus in October in Rhode Island To get around college, never had an issue. Back roads and on campus speeds are no worry and going under 40 isn’t that bad in 28° when you have a good coat and pit vipers.
This guy is a one sided “macho” wannabe. If it doesn’t go fast enough to replace his penis envy it shouldn’t exist. Maybe he had mommy and daddy buy him a car and didnt need a scooter or bike when in school. No wonder he cant imagine someone actually using these smaller cc modes of transport. Stupid review.
Sir, have you been to the University of Floridas campus???? What about Orlando Florida? Miami?
Get a RE 350 or a Vespa as if they wouldn't cost like 3 times as much
Made in India ? Why I should buy one of this ?instead a honda or Yamaha
I have owned my Int 650 since 2019. At 8k miles runs like new. Not sure why they show videos of this bike riding off road. Yes i can be done but this is a roadster in classic sense.
the haters guide, boomer just doesn't get it
He misses the whole point of that motorcycle! It's not meant for people like him! He's an experienced rider that wants a high horsepower bike! He should have bought a 500cc or bigger bike! I don't know what he's griping about!?! Like I said, this bike isn't and never was meant for him! This is a daily mm commuter for beginner riders!
bro we know what it does, and what its worth, its defiantly going to get people where they need to be, if its got wheels and it rolls than no problem.
Why is Vespa a better choice?
I’m 24, only ridden a Honda Ch80 & a hyosung sf50r, thought it’d be cool for something like that
Great video, can you define "a turn" i couldn't find it in the manual. With the rear preload you can get a good healthy turn, but you can't on the high-speed compression. I thought a turn would 360deg and a half turn would be 180deg.
This video is redundant really. I have a truck and want to start with a motorcycle so I can have a little more fun to and from work, less than 20 miles round trip. I don't care about shifting gears, I don't care about going above 50 mpg. I want a glorified scooter. Hell the Metropolitan doesn't even need to be registered in my state (Oklahoma) because its 50cc! This bike is for people who want a little more rugged nature out of a scooter and the Metropolitan is for people who want a stylish 40mpg ride to and from in-town work. Why are we dissing these bad ass scooters? I'll just use my truck for everything else lol Obviously this isn't supposed to be a "real" motorcycle...its under the "mini-moto" section of their current listings. This video feels like you just wanted to complain.
Depends where you live. I'm in the city and just got one for local around town errands and it's perfect. Definitely wouldn't be long hauling over freeways with it though
What a total moron… he probably expects a Nissan Sentra to perform like a Corvette.
I really want one, but also want a Desert X. I’ll probably be about 95% road and 5% off-road in the Adirondacks of NY. Plan to do some light camping, so I think the Norden makes more sense. I’m currently using a TE450 but it’s not great for any road use over 30 min. I’m still in the stage of convincing my wife we need one, so going to be a while til I get one, lol.
Ironically to say the Himalayan is not much of a touring bike. Anyone knows Itchy Boots watched a young lady literally ride it all over the world.
The reviewer has missed the point I feel. This is a commuter / Recreational Walking, Bus, Bicycle, E-bike substitute...
It's 100% a scooter, and scooter bros don't need gear
Enjoying your vids. You are like me, love altering things to fit the setup.
A scooter is a vehicle that has a platform to put your feet together on in front of you. A motorcycle requires you straddle the vehicle to ride it. Low power means nothing to defining it as a scooter or motorcycle.
This guy is bashing the funnest bike ever made , I will not subscribe to him , and you guys shouldn’t either
Motorcycles: Engine is somewhere in the middle of the frame. Scooters: Engine is toward the back near the rear wheel. Mopeds: Is a type of motorized pedal bike. Having a clutch or not having one doesn't have anything to do with it's classification.
1000%. It's like saying a subaru isn't a car because it has a CVT. It's dumb af.
damn dude....nit picking about a few hundred dollars of a difference cuz of dealer fees and such? you go thru the same exact process when buying a car....so why would anyone expect something different when buying a different vehicle, in this case, a motorcycle...
Almost 15 minutes for that rambling?
Big complaining video I learned nothing about the bike just complaining...
Is a turn 180 degrees or 360?
25k views and only 250 likes. Sounds like your clickbait didn't work out, chump. 😂
