CUTTING AND PREPARING PLYWOOD CABINET PANELS

  • Continuing in our series documenting the various steps and process that are involved in a large built-in cabinetry project.
    In this video we're cutting and preparing our cabinets panels. We primarily use 3/4" maple plywood for our cabinet boxes and that's no different for this project. While 1/2" material is strong enough for the typical cabinet, we find that using 3/4" material gives us a stronger, more solid cabinet box. Not only that, It gives us more options when it comes to joinery. We use a lot of pocket screws in our cabinet construction and that would be tough with 1/2" material.
