Their lives are so dull and unfulfilling that they fantasize about horrible shit happening to their family just to break the monotony. It's why Lifetime movies appeal to them so much. If I didn’t know better I’d say that Lifetime doesn’t pay writers for their tv movie scripts. Rather, I think Lifetime solely exists to make custom films written by insane people who just want their material to be produced. They shovel enough money at the network and whatever’s in the script has to be made no matter what.
