60s Fashion Note (just for those who care): Mick is wearing a vintage military drummer's jacket he'd found in 'I Was Lord Kitchener's Valet', a then little-known trader in army surplus uniforms from the Victorian and Edwardian eras, in Carnaby Street, London, W1... The next morning the little shop was besieged by young men desperate to buy one just like it; they sold their entire shop stock by lunchtime, and the business was a goer! Walking past this same establishment one day, Paul McCartney and Peter Blake (?) got the idea for the Sergeant Pepper album cover, or so the story goes...
@PaterCup I never knew that Paul got the idea from the stones to make sergeant pepper and they say the stones copied the Beatles you could be right Micks cloths like like the same cloths on the sergeant pepper album
@lindaosborne1617 I hope the song helped you through rough times, or whatever else you may need from the sheer vibes of the song. I swear that my soul feels that song. Long live music..
Jagger's great on stage but it gets tedious if the cameraman only focuses on him ALL the time. I'd love to see the rest of the band, what they do, facial expressions etc. 50 years too late to complain though!!!
Agree. Now that Charlie has passed and I've spent hours watching their videos, the shots of him are too fleeting. Charlie DRIVES this song and it almost leaves me breathless.
Loz R., You're absolutely correct, it really does get TEDIOUS!! The rest of the guys are EXCELLENT musicians; we need to see more of their playing!! (We KNOW who's singing, right!?!?)
Is it possible to see the Ready Steady Go ( ?) where Jones is wearing a dark jersey, herring bone trousers, moccasins, and has the sitar? I had that photo for years, plus it's on the gatefold for Get Stoned.
I grew up with the Stones. Love them. The current generation has a young Mick Jagger imitator. I think Harry Styles will be around for a long time. Longer than we will....

@@mikebarooshian7255 No, he didn't get the idea from the Stones, he got it from the military uniforms on display in the shop. :-)
The best opening guitar riff ever.
Just losing against Satisfaction my friend
sitar*
PAINT IT BLACK will NEVER be the same without Brian Jones playing The Sitar.👍😉
It is...because that part was there in the beginning and is still part of the song. Some things can't be taken away.
Nothing is ever the same. Just listen to the original recording.

Why did you think that a band must stay the same for decades. Their secret is to be so eclectics but staying the Stones.

No matter for me, great black and white video.
And in an other life learn what means frontman.

@@Methilde Mick is singing live, listen to it carefully
@@graziaguerrini6375 You're right, Mick is live, very close from the original. I was asking me for the others menbers.

Luv it
this is boas encrence backopsamazing
Как бы перенестись туда ???
Brian Jones❤❤😇😇
It was not live and it cut off early!😕
Sorry, it's not "LIVE" as stated in the title. They are miming to the studio recording..
Good catch. Most people assume they are actually playing live. Instrumental is studio version , maybe vocals too.
Vocals are definitively live
Right, they used to record instruments before and let Mick singing live in that period.
. In the beginning did anyone hear the girl screaming
If I'm correct, it's early 1966. And cool sitar position!
Henry Stroup Brian has still hate this position for sitar but no choice
@@suzannep5792 What?
It's the classical position.
Best Band forever and ever in the World 👉💯🎸👅🎸💯🎸👅🔥
¡¡Que bien!!☝🏻👀👍🏻
Why do they only show the singer...?! What about Brian Jones playing the sitar...and Bill and Charlie?
Typical cameraman
Many cameraman focus vocalist
And keith?
Cause during a concert the public look especially at the frontman even more if it's Jagger!
Because the singer is a guy named MICK JAGGER
Brian Sitar is 'mimed'
Cool
Dang the people in the crowd are having strokes
Rolling Stones or Beatles?
Stones: Like
Beatles: Comment
sickkkk
I got 80% on this on rocksmith
❤❤
The US troops played this all the time in Vietnam.
Oh, Brian plays the sitar.
please Keith, Mick and Brian can step on my face if they want 🧎🏻♀🧎🏻♀
lol
The rolling stones❤ 😇😇🌈🌈
this must be mimed , love the clobber they're wearing
that was the style back then
Mick is not miming, vocals are live
For the others it's a pre-recording i suppose.
Who played it first Brian or George ?
George Harrison.
Ravy Shankar :)
My goodness...wasn't Keith Richards lovely
YES!
..where's the end?!
youre out Brian, so sad...
