  • The 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle "rocky" is back! The chevy gets Interior upgrades, a good cleaning, and even "BRAKE" repair. After all that goodness, we attempt to take it for a rip down to a car show and show off the new shine. Will we make it there and back...?

oven cleaner does remove paint. my boss taught me that. he told me one day "go spray this on the door of that truck and wait 1 minute then wipe it off" i asked him why and he told me it was to remove the lettering off the door. it worked very well and the paint wiped right off. i never forgot that trick and i also used it on my home carpet when my exgf spilled paint on the floor. the oven cleaner removed the paint from the carpet after a few sprays and soak ups, shop-vac

I have bittersweet memories of '69 Chevelles. I was one month away from full possession of my parents SS 396 - but my sister wrapped it around a tree. She just got bruised a little but that old Chevy was fatalized.
Absolutely beautiful car - Mulsanne blue with white interior. Got a lot of headaches from it too - and when my dad would get one side of the exhaust fixed, the other side would leak.

Removing rear bottom seat is usually best done by laying down on the floor with your back against the back of the front seat bottom, then pushing in on the seat bottom in question until it clears the typical hook. This applies to most American made vehicles, but check for a hold-down bolt under a loose flap of carpeting.

There is further beauty in your hot method of locating the seat bolt holes, in that (with loop-style carpeting) it drastically reduces any chance of pulling a fiber and causing a run. This is especially true when trying to power-drive sheet-metal screws. This applies especially to customers cars. Don't ask me how i know.

Ya I picked up a pretty solid truck out of Southern Alabama. It’s a 62 which not thinking when I bought it the suspension is old style with tortion bars instead of springs. So I bought a front cross member out of a 85 ans swapped it. Then changed the spindles and rotors through western chassis so I can get it a roller. Also I’m waiting to get my RV back I’m going to pull the motor. It’s got a 454 and th400 along with a good rad.
A good set of sparkalaters and liquid rejuvenation will get that c10 back to factory.
