album reaction time. black sabbath time. METAL TIME!!!!
what's everyones favourite track on Vol 4?
Changes for sure
@@dariofernando5572 hi Dario!
Supernaut, but whole album is amazing My top 3 Sabbaths albums are
3. Master of Reality
2. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
1. Volume 4.
Supernaut because it's yet another proto-stoner banger.
@@kirawasareactor Hi Kira, how are you? Cheers to all Melbourne ^^
Now that I think about it in addition to Changes it could include Cornucopia.
looking forward you reaction to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is the album to do next , It's by far my fave! Every song just fits.
i am soooo excited!!
@@kirawasareactor I'm excited for you too ! , Also some Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles would make great reactions , Hope you're keeping well!
I wanted to post something similar, an often underrated album in their catalogue, but it's so amazing, my favorite Sabbath album as well.
@@Reani71 Yeah bro by far ! , First time i heard it was on Vinyl and i was hooked.
Actually, not my favorite from their catalogue, but the title track is awesome. Killing Yourself To Live is decent, but I just can't listen to much of the record. There are better Sabbath releases, like Sabotage and Technical Ecstasy, from my favorite era of Black Sabbath. It was at that time that Ozzy's drug-induced mind was starting to cause a rift in the band, and we can probably owe that to their cocaine-fueled nights when they were creating Vol. 4.
Drug addiction is a bitch!
I hope she reacts to Sabotage, doesn’t get the love it deserves, it’s my favorite sabbath album!
My second favorite after Vol. 4! Their angriest album for sure, which is right up my alley
Sabotage is underrated, I think, but their best album is Paranoid. Period. There's just no way around it. Nevertheless, Master Of Reality is my personal fave and Into The Void is their overall bestest song.
Sabotage rules
@@Drforrester31 If angry is right up your alley, how is Volume 4 your favorite?
Only thrust yourself and the first 6 Sabbath albums.
I've always loved the tone of VOL 4. As a teenager, when first listening myself, this was a go to. It's heavy and smooth, moody and rich.
Well put!
I love how varied that tone is from song to song. Wheels of Confusion and Snowblind have super crunchy riffs and then Cornucopia and Under the Sun are so sludgy
Sean, definitely agree! I liked the direction that Black Sabbath was going with this album at the time!! Definitely was not disappointed with this or the next album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath!! I will admit that at first, once Ozzy left Black Sabbath, I didn't really listen to the Dio years too much until later on in life!!
Yes with my black light
It's also slightly out of tune at times, really gives it a very weird vibe sometimes
This is Bill Ward at his peak. His best sounding drums too, production wise
Listen to symptom of the universe if u wanna hear Ward at his peak
@@reeceheller6200 I have heard it many times
Agreed on the production. The cymbals seem to have so much space and just ring out, especially on Supernaut
@@Drforrester31 There’s also nice separation of the individual drums.
Composition wise I think there never has been a bad time
Black Sabbath's never once fallen out of my Top 10 bands in 40 years
And this is probably their most underrated disc.
Changes is really a shock in the middle of the album, is so touching, I love it!
it's quite special
You need to hear Charles Bradley's version which is the one used in the Big Mouth intro.
@@chaddubois8164 hell yeah she does.
The live radio version
@@kirawasareactor ozzy did a cover oif changes with his daughter
"I've seen the future, and I've left it behind." Is one of the best lyrics of all time.
A truly great album . You had this 67 year old rocking' .
I think Wheels of Confusion is a totally underrated song. After Supernaut it's my favourite on the album, and it's all about that hypnotic rhythm and especially the astounding vocal melody sung above that monotone rhythm guitar strum. Ozzy really matured on this album, which is reflected in the passion he puts in the songs and the beautiful melodies he sings. Amazing stuff!
Vol.4 is my favourite sabbath album. I agree with all that you say.
Did you know that on the European release, track 1 was just called Wheels of Confusion, with Tommorow's Dream as track 2? 'The Straightener' was added to the US release, but it is actually still Wheels of Confusion.
I think they did this for radio reasons....American radio was reluctant to play such long songs. ✌👍
@@svenred6eard757 I didn't know that about the European release. Interesting. Anyway, I think the best adjective to describe Wheels of Confusion is MAJESTIC. It really is a great song!
Wheels of confusion is my favorite Sabbath song. It's all about depression, disillusion and the loss of innocence in adult life, and In my opinion they expressed pretty well, not just in the lyrics, but in all aspects of it... I remember reading somewhere that the intro riff was the "sound of a heart ripping". And what about the outro solo (the so called 'The Straightener' in US)? Very underrated song indeed.
I totally forgot about Wheel's ending. Here I was thinking I didn't really find the track remarkable, but the watching this reminded me how good the outro was
@@frankpentangeli7945 Majestic it is!
Bill Ward…so criminally underrated.
I love that you love Sabbath🤘your dad must be proud.
Love Vol 4! Never Say Die is another awesome, but underrated, album. A lot of people don't like that one, but I think it good.
I do definitely prefer Never Say Die! to Technical Ecstasy, if only for NSD! having better production
@@Drforrester31 Hard Road also rocks.
Under The Sun - most underrated Sabbath song, and my personal favorite of them all! 🤘🏼 Still hard for me to realize this was released in fucking 1972.
I also recommend checking out D.O.A. by Bloodrock.
I happen to have BLOOD ROCK CD. I remembered them from listening to that album w/DOA in 70s.
I love that this album (my favorite of theirs) was written on a 3 month-long coke binge at a Los Angeles mansion all paid for by the record label. Iommi did lines of coke then taught himself piano and wrote Changes. Snowblind is about that pure 70's white cloud. The upper songs followed by the low tempo songs, then back to the juicy uptempo songs again. Genius.
He also wrote Laguna Sunrise on an La Beach after a night on the coke
changes is a song based on the end of the marriage of Bill Ward, the band's drummer
I had changes on repeat after my last breakup. that song is a fucking mood.
THE FIRST SIX ALBUMS (OF THE FIRST 8 WITH OZZY) ARE THE GREATEST ROCK ALBUMS OF ALL TIME , PERIOD! black sabbath self titled, paranoid, master of reality, volume 4, sabbath bloody sabbath and sabotage
Got to say that I love the authenticity of your reactions. Looking forward to seeing you get to some Dio era Sabbath.
That moment where Supernaut was so insanely awesome that you couldn't take it anymore!! It's what everyone feels the first time they hear it 😃😄 It's literally the best song ever!
You're right! That intro to Supernaut is so great, it just hooks you in, Iommi's touch is untouchable there.
Watching you experience so much joy and enthusiasm at discovering the beloved music of my youth is like hearing it again for the first time! Keep digging, keep listening, and remember, rock and roll will never die!
Right??? It's like this is what I was like when I switched to metal from radio pop in 82.

Wheels of Confusion deserves way more appreciation IMO, easily tied with the intro track to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath for best album intro. Also I'm glad you appreciate Under the Sun cause I feel that song doesn't get enough appreciation either. Awesome to see someone experience such an album for the first time. And if you enjoyed Vol.4 you will absolutely love the next two albums after it, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage
So awesome to see someone as young as you discovering and digging Black Sabbath, the best band to ever create music on this earth!
This album has 2 of my favorite Sabbath songs, Tomorrows Dream and Snowblind
OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDD
So excited. Haven't even watched it yet. These Sabbath ones are like my most anticipated vids on UA-cam at this point.
I like your format, I've heard some of these songs a hundred times. I wish more reactors edit like you do.
Excellent, as always. I still get chills and goosebumps every time I hear the first solo to Snowblind to this day!
I really can't wait for your reaction to my favorite Black Sabbath album, Sabotage, as every song is a banger!
Thank-you for reminding me of what it was like to hear this for the first time! I bought it when I turned 12, back in 1975. It's the first record I ever bought, and I've listened to it thousands of times. And I reacted in a similar way: pure bliss for my young head. Seriously, it was fun to see someone else respond like that!!!
To me this is Black Sabbath's absolute BEST album!! I LOVE every single track!!! Well, except for FX, which to me is just the intro so Supernaut anyway. But thank you for doing this, Kira!
Amazing reaction. Love this album and it’s a joy seeing you discover it, too. Really hope you do a full album reaction for Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. That album is peak -Sabbath IMHO.
I love watching your Sabbath's reactions. Brings me back to good times when I was just a kid discovering heavy metal.
Thank you for continuing the journey! I've read somewhere that the riff to "Supernaut" was voted best Sabbath riff ever by established metal musicians... it probably is pinnacle Sabbath right there... Looking forward to "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" full album reaction. BTW, I normally don't like edited videos, but yours are the exception, probably because I know the songs already and your edits keep it nice and succinct. Keep rockin'!
Thank you for the reaction Kira🤘 I knew you'd love 'Vol. 4', it's my personal favorite Black Sabbath album🤘
Kira, love your reactions to there songs. Takes me back to my college days. Love you Kira
I bought this album with my first pay cheque in 1972! It was amazing then and even more so when I see you reacting with such enthusiasm to it. Even my friends at the time who were not Sabs fans would freak out/headbang to " Supernaut"!! Agree the end part of Under The Sun is epic. Looking forward to you reacting to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath one day. Stay safe out there.
Awesome. Happy to see young people listen to the classics.
Wonderful reactions! Sabbath are extraordinary and your reaction sums up how I feel about them.
I love that you listen to the whole album/cd, that's the way it was done in the 70's-80's &90's
Oh yeah, finally some more old Sabbath!
Fantastic reaction, as ever. I was anticipating you reaching Supernaut and it did not disappoint :D That may be my absolute favourite Sabbath song, but they're all like my children in that sometimes I'll be like "I think I might love that one more". An entire album in one video! It's actually so much fun to watch someone else fall in love with something I have loved for so long. I've basically watched every Sabbath reaction going. When I search it I get a screen that just says "Dude, chill. We'll tell you when there's more". Your videos are my favourite. Thanks for the great content :D
I share the feeling. Sabbath was my first "metal" band, back in the 70s before the term was commonly used. It's a strange nostalgic pleasure to follow someone going through the same discovery again. Reminds me how much I loved them.
Sabbath has been my favorite since i was 14.
You are so fun to watch! Lol Great reactions! God bless! Keep it up!
The Changes reaction 😂 The same thing happens hearing Kiss' Destroyer and hearing Beth.
I genuinely loved this. When you started rocking out to Supernaut, brought me right back to the first time I heard it, and how much I loved it. Pure Joy.
Not many reactors just jump out of their seat and start dancing, but that's something music should do to you.
Another great reaction haha this made me so happy.
Such a joy seeing you reacting to theese
You just did a reaction to my favourite Metal album of all time ever. One fact about this album, it was the first album were they were the producers.
I was so happy and giggling when you were getting down to supernaut.I am a music lover from a metal background and am currently looking at early jazz music from before my time.Keep up the exploring and a new sub from me.
Under the sun is my favourite song ever, thanks for react this full masterpiece!
This was the most important album to me back when i was a teen. Thanks for taking the time to renew it.
Great vid and reaction. Tomorrow’s Dream 11/10
Really enjoyed watching you have the reactions we had in the mid-70's; esp. Supernaut which is still my favorite Sabbath tune.
I want to suggest you review the track "A Tab In The Ocean" by Nektar. It's 16 minutes in length, and what we used to call "head" music. Given your appreciation of classical-like movement changes in metal and your general appreciation of hard or acid rock, I'd like to watch what you'd think! :)
Also of course "The Magician's Birthday" 10-minute classic by Uriah Heep.
I love this album. The band were in their early 20's when they made this..and living the life... insane.. and Supernaut is just an incredible song with your perfect reaction! 🙂
Another great vid!
There is definitely some evolution and change in the next album which is Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Awesome album incorporating keyboards, synthesizers and Orchestra. Still definitely awesome Iommi riffs, excellent guitar work and a bit Progressive and more refinement in the music. You will love it of course.
SBS is their Sgt. Peppers
Another great one.
FYI the keyboard and strings sounds are a Mellotron. Not a synth, not a sampler, but a bit of both. Electro-Mechanical rather than digital.
Historically At Vitus' Dance was the common term for the extreme twitching caused by ergot poisoning.
Waiting till you hit Sabotage. So many great guitar riffs.
You are amazing to watch and Ozzy kept me sane all these years. So anyways, Watching you here, my sweet young impressionable child, makes me feel like I'm 50 years younger thank you!!
This is my favourite Black Sabbath's album. A total classic.
Love this girl! Subbed
Loving your reactions. It reminds me of when I first put the vinyl on my turntable and was blown away too! You're right about snowblind (you should read the dedications on the sleeve notes to confirm this). I think FX was similar to what Pink Floyd were doing around the same time, but I never worked out if they were just mocking them, or trying out the ideas for themselves.
Geezer writes such amazing lyrics!
My fave Sabbath album, wonderful reaction 😀
That outro from wheels of illusion is some of the best work from sabbath really love it
OMG yes love these videos so much!!! :D
Great to hear a fellow but much younger Aussie enjoying the band I grew up with, Enjoy !!!
I clicked the like button before I watched the video (can you tell Vol 4 is my favourite Sabbath album). In my opinion Bill Ward is one of the most underrated rock drummers, his solid beats always drive the songs along.
dude if ozzy wasn't my literal spirit animal then i would probably just go on rants about the drums. my next favourite thing after Oz
Bill Ward is my all time favorite drummer. He gets no credit
Your reaction to Supernaut is the same as mine and many others. The energy of that song just makes you want to dance,run......do something! Great review Thank you....
Super Naut!! You seem really happy and enjoying the song. We all do.
Yeah if you like different, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage are a must
Thanks for reminding me of why I love this album. Sabbath’s GOAT, IMO.
I first heard “Changes” on an Ozzy live album and thought it was his song, not hearing the original version and he also recorded a version with his daughter, Kelly.
This album, way back in 1974, was my first exposure to hard rock after growing up listening only to top 40 radio. Literally, on the first listen I was hooked.
Snowblind is awesome, in my Black Sabbath's top 5 with Paranoid, Iron Man, War Pigs and N.I.B.
Great reaction, so much fun listening for the first time songs like this.
Love the color of your eyes! (And Wheels of Confusion)
You are such an enthusiastic Sabbath fan. Cool beans. This album is very cool, I have always loved it, and I just loved your reaction to it. So fresh, so honest. I can't wait till you get to Symptom of the Universe from Black Sabbath's 1975 album Sabotage. You will love it! Ozzy's vocals are absolutely killer and the music is extra good. It has the coolest change-up and outro. BTW St. Vitus Dance is an old school term that refers to a condition people get sometimes where they have uncoordinated jerky movements. It was associated with rheumatic fever and other diseases. Learn something new everyday!
Sabbath is my #1. Fav band it’s so cool how you enjoy listening to sabbath 🤘🥰
Kira! I'm very much enjoying your Black Sabbath reaction videos!! I went back and watched all the way from paranoid up till now!! I also saw your Uriah Heep reaction and I would like to suggest, if I might, some Deep Purple! The live version of Child In Time is a cut I think you would enjoy very much! It has the organ that you said you liked and also a singer that is as good if not better than the singer from Uriah Heep!! In this live version you get to hear his vocal range very WELL!!
you`re amazing. And Black Sabbath too!
Another great reaction! Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is just as awesome as the first 4 albums... hope to see your reaction to it!
Give the Rolling Stones a spin, some great deep tracks too.
Beggers Banquet, Sticky Fingers, Let it Bleed, Exile on Main Street are all great lps.
R.I.P. Charlie Watts.
Excellent & entertaining video, hearing a certain album for the first time is a fun experience you won’t have again.. 🤘🏻👍🏻
Being such a Sabbath fan you should check out Kyuss from the 90’s, they were heavily influenced by Black Sabbath, think you’ll like them.. 👌🏻😁
Best f**kin album of ALL time!
I just love these young people's reaction 70's music, all is not lost. God bless you young lady.
Was never a big fan of Sabbath’s Changes, but there is a cover by a guy named Charles Bradley that is amazing
I've been a Black Sabbath fan for decades. I think Volume 4 really captures the essence of the band. The music is phenomenal and after listening to the entire album it always makes me want to slit my wrists. Just an absolute masterpiece!!!
Jajaja excelente reacción, así es como se debe disfrutar este discaso de sabbath.rock on girl👏👏👏🤘💀🤘❤🇦🇷
For me, Under The Sun always had a kind of a Monkees/Beatles vibe. It made me want to hear Sabbath do some Mokees or Beatles covers. I can just imagine Sabbath Rockin the shit out of Last Train to Clarksville.
Wheels Of Confusion , Laguna Sunrise and Changes, my favorites songs in this álbum. 🤘🏻
I saw these guys in concert in 1977, and they played several songs from this album, one of my favorites. I am sorry you were not able to see them in their prime. Great reactions, keep up the great
Great work
Great review to me this album is very obscure yet heavy dark moody which is great my favorite album from them.
Yourr reaction is great ! I can see you totally get it and it moves you .😁 isn't that the point ?
finally someone WHO KNOWS TO ROCK TO SABBATH YESSSSSS
It's a masterpiece !
Hugs from Brazil >>>>
can't choose between Snowblind or Cornucopia for my fav.. Anyway can't wait to see ur reaction to Dehumanizer.. I just listened to couple of song rn and gonna check some more but I tell u that it is heavy!
My favourite song in Vol. 4, if I had to pick one, would be Supernaut, for the same reasons you liked it, Kira.
A close second, though, is Snowblind, not only because of the sheer balls it took to sing about cocaine addiction in a "positive", rebellious light like that, but also because of the genius of the storytelling they do with the music itself -- the whole song is one long coke trip, with most of the song being the build-up, the faster break towards the end ("Don't you think I know what I'm doing?") being the high and the "outro" being coming off the high and feeling down (and desperately wanting to get to the next high). It's frankly amazing.
Right on man.
Nice catch on the country influence on St. Vitus Dance - not a lot of people talk about that. It’s almost like a fiddle part, like a square dance.
This is so great
Overall favorite album in my long lifetime. Where would we be without the masters of metal?
This album cured my blindness.
My personal favorite Sabbath album right here, just incredible variety up and down the board, which seems fitting since this is their "cocaine" album. According to Tony he wrote Laguna Sunrise while watching a sunrise on LSD
Been there 🤣 I can see it
Really hard to pick but this is probably my favourite Sabbath album.
