im the german im a big fan by black sabbath since my chilkdhood the first song i has hearring was 1970 i was 8 years the first song was paranoid and the b side the wizzard was my first tidles black sabbath is my favorite band for ever this song here warning is perfect the guitare work is firstclass performance and the drums this band is in my opinion the best british rock and metal band for ever the song warning is my favorite song here firstclass guitare work and drums firstclass performance for me timeless music i thank you so much for this video
For song reactions check out: "Into the Void", "A National Acrobat" and "Spiral Architect" (they both kinda go together), "Sabracadabra", "Symptom of the Universe" and "The Writ"
The first 6 Sabbath albums are all legendary in there own rights. The passion and creativity are there with them. Their debut album to Sabitage are all must listens
Warning is a FANTASTIC song. Toni's guitar work in that long instrumental interlude is a smorgasbord of base building key elements of most ALL metal riffs for the next 10-15 years and can still be found in metal today and Ozzy's vocals and emotions he expresses, amazing.
First time I heard this was in 1977. Scared me and lured me into the heavier side of music. Been a Metal head since that moment. I like the listening of one side at a time. Fun reaction.
I'm 60 years old and a huge fan of this band ! Their evolution was in my opinion, quite remarkable . I know every lyric, drum fill base line and guitar riff so I guess I'm bias. OK, with that said,,let's do the Paranoid album now.
This album by far is my most listened to album of theirs. Love the positive vibes you two are giving this. Just wait till you get to Master of Reality. Sabbath rules.
Warning is my favorite off the album. "I was born without you baby but my feelings were a little bit too strong" Iommi appears on The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus. Tull is on the recording no Martin Barre. It is Tony. On the recording besides them is John Lennon, The Stones, The Who and Tull.🎸😎🎼
Fun fact: "Warning" is the second cover on the US release. It was originally recorded by Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation. Y'all are hitting some good tunes, and your music appreciation is evident, a very cool vibe indeed. 🤘
🤘🏼❤️❤️🤘🏼 hey guys, love your reaction to Black Sabbath’s first album!! I first heard of this album on my 11th birthday in 1980😂😂 such a great raw album, recorded in eight hours!! Just a little FYI if you listen to all the drumming throughout the whole album, billboard is actually a jazz drummer! Keep it up. I hope you continue with the Black Sabbath discography! Ozzie made a lot of good music with his band until they kicked him out in 1978.😞❤️
Fun fact, i think! I read many years ago that Geezer said that Ozzy sang the wrong words on Warning. Famous for getting his words mixed up or wrong ( due to inebriation and possibly dyslexia), Ozzy sang: "i was born without you baby, but my feelings were a little bit too strong" instead of: " i was WARNED about you baby, but my feelings were a little bit too strong". Great reaction, i'm enjoying your Sabbath journey.
Good evening Sir and Madam. It’s a joy to come home after Church and The Stags Head on a Sunday to find your latest reaction. There’s a lot of jazzy swing on here, particularly within “ Warning” ( but also here and there on side 1). I imagine Vertigo ( the record label) insisted on having a “ single” to get some radio airplay as British rock music radio was almost non existent in early 1970. My “ de luxe” CD of this album includes a bit of flute on “ Evil Woman”, which just makes it a bit different but no better tbh. You’re totally right to say it doesn’t fit the album at all. Finally( I’ve been droning on for ever) we should be grateful for two incidents not turning out worse than they actually were: a) Tony Iommi could have lost all of the fingers of his right hand in that factory accident b) he survived a car crash at 18/19 years old which resulted in him walking away from an open top sports car flipping over and landing upside down. There you go. Either of these incidents could have killed Black Sabbath before it even began. Looking forward to “ Paranoid” ( with one of the worst album sleeves ever !). Stay safe guys. Best wishes from England 🏴.
This is the most RAW Sabbath was!!! This album was recorded in just 12 hours!!!!!!! The PEAK of early Sabbath was definitely "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" and "Sabotage", both GREAT albums!!!
Evil Woman was not on the American release of Black Sabbath, it was on the UK version and released as a single no one remembers. Everyone remembers Paranoid. Anyhow, the USA release went Wicked World, A Bit of Finger, Sleeping Village, Warning. An underrated side of music for the general public but not by Sabbath fans, Warning is one of the great guitar solos of all time and shocks everyone who hears it for the first time. Now, onto the Paranoid album! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
If you do it right and go through the discography in order you'll see how the song topics slowly transition from external themes to very internal ones as the band experiences the rock star life. The whole library tells a story from beginning to end.
Crow's version of "Evil Woman" is the best original version -It's here if you like to listen. - ua-cam.com/video/wbtHje7GpbA/v-deo.htmlsi=QdYIrzMyCT2u2_YF
Tony Iommi is so underrated as a rock guitar virtuoso. Which is remarkable for a guy who invented his own genre of rock music. Sabbath was often looked down upon by the highbrows of the day back in high school, who found them way too garage or underground, with an over-reliance on fat power chords and campy imagery. I used to enjoy playing Warning for these types, after which they couldn't deny the man's complete command of his guitar. With only two full sized fingers.
Awesome episode! Dev surprisingly found a gift while Mike's over there playing with the whammy bar! England was putting out some great music around this time!
Old English Sabbath fan here - Evil Woman is only really notable for Geezer's bass playing and so the US version has become canon over here. Oh, and your background research is excellent. (And its Eye-Owe-Me) Fun Fact: Ozzy was getting over a heavy cold and that is why he never sounded quite like this again.
Sorry I didn't catch the reviewing ladies name but I gotta say, that shirt or blouse you're wearing is incredible. Of course you're a good looking woman to look at and I might sound like a perv for staring at you but that shirt is just awesome. Great reaction too!!
"Warning" is in my top 3 all-time favourite Sabbath tracks yet Dev looks bored out of her skull. Maybe she needs a few more listens before she gets it.
The drummer Bill Ward is as good as Bonham and Neil Peart. The original 1970 album never had Wicked World as you stated but I don't know exactly when they rereleased The 1st album but it was a great song.
The first side had some really good music, but the second side, other than a few good riffs, sounded like they just slapped a bunch of crap together, which sounded far apart

The master of riffs , mr. Tony Iommi

Warning is also a cover.

Black Sabbath started heavy metal...they are considered the godfathers of heavy metal 😊
Brilliant debut album. Got it when it came out in 1970 when I was 14. Blew my mind and turned me into a hard rock/heavy metal fan for life.
First time I heard this was in 1977.
Scared me and lured me into the heavier side of music.
Been a Metal head since that moment.

ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE
This album by far is my most listened to album of theirs. Love the positive vibes you two are giving this. Just wait till you get to Master of Reality. Sabbath rules.
Dev: "It needs to be an album because that's the experience."
I wish more reactors understood this.
Warning is my favorite off the album. "I was born without you baby but my feelings were a little bit too strong" Iommi appears on The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus. I suggest their best album is Master of Reality and also Sabotoge and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
I LOVE Evil Woman.
They often had extended intros and instrumentals that had titles on the albums. It made it look like there were more songs.
Fun fact: "Warning" is the second cover on the US release. It was originally recorded by Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation.
Y'all are hitting some good tunes, and your music appreciation is evident, a very cool vibe indeed. 🤘
It’s stupid good how the transition from the slow to the fast and back to slow…

Thank you, those lyrics make a LOT more sense.

Warning is rad! Ozzy's vocals are impossible for me to not sing along with and try to mimic. I like how he doesn't sing Too high in that one!
Oh I just read Warning was written by Aynsley Dunbar and his band...ok weird..
👍👍👍👍👍👍

The start of Evil Woman made me think of Jo Jo by Boz Scaggs.
Gotta do their discography (ozzy era) to really know sabbath TRUST ME :) you won’t be disappointed
Evil Woman is cover. The record company wanted a single.

I like Warning on this side the best, but all of it is good.
Wow just surfing and i found 2 things i love Sabbath and Scarlett Johansson.
Most people say Black Sabbath peak was either the album “Sabotage”. Or the album “Sabbath Blood Sabbath”.
Ozzy's voice sounds strange on Wicked World but probably the better choice. I had the Euro version in New Zealand. Brilliant album!!
Primero y mejor album de black sabbath, después sabbath bloody sabbat, en mi opinión

Interesting. I was wondering if _Evil Woman_ was still on UK pressings.
@@MusicforBusyPeople I think they are both on now.

I think they peaked on Sabotage, musically.

I’ll be honest, I’m struggling with Black Sabbath. I’m trying but it’s not my cup of tea.
Enjoyed your reaction to it though, fun vid.
The first side had some really good music, but the second side, other than a few good riffs, sounded like they just slapped a bunch of crap together, which sounded far apart
I think this one is a little rough around the edges, but they hit a home run with their next album.
Both fair comments. I of course will check out future videos. Maybe it’s a case of the more I hear the more I like.
This song sholdnt be on the album in europe either, it sucks.
