Right?!! Makes me wanna ditch my 790 Adv r, lose some anxiety about reliability, grab a 2024 T7 Canadian 50th Anniversary Ed(just a graphics package for 50 years of Yamaha in Canada but nice!), spend the $$ where it needs it in suspension(although let's face it, an akro or pipe of some kind is a given!), and have a great bulletproof reliable adv bike that I can pack as many miles on as I want reliably as long as I take care of it. I'd miss the electronics of the 790 and the extra oomph on the road a bit for sure though. The crux of these decisions I think for most of us is how we're going to use the bike. I've always thought that the T7 is the better looker of the two too, but I think that there are plenty of opinions in either camp on that one. That's the beauty of the variety of choice we're spoiled with in the adv world, there's a bike for everybody, now let's go ride!! (says the Canadian who's in mid-winter riding his fatbike while he chomps at the bit for a spring that is way too far from now ☹️😆).
@@WeaverGr997Hey Man, I did drive the 790 Adv R and had lot of troubles. From Electronics to complete failure of the rear Brake(while offroad, downhill just before a corner) and they tried to void the warranty for some of the Problems by you know, wrong driving style, inspections not done correctly(all done by a certified KTM dealer) and such stuff. After 2 Years of trouble i went and got myself a T7 World Ride. And so far, I've never been happier with a bike. No trouble with the bike or the dealership at all. And i personaly think it's Performance and handling are far superior to the 790. Can take it to any where and trust it to bring me back. And have fun doing it. And for my part, I miss none of the electronics of the 790. I always had the impression that they only hindered me, not supported me on the Ride. But thats just my opinion. If your thinking about a T7 just go to a good dealer and take one for a few days. You're going to have quite a bit of fun. And about the 20 HP difference? The engine of the T7 runs much smother and has quite more of a kick in the lower rpm's. So if your not driving on a Highway you will barely notice the 20 HP difference. Drive safe.

Watching both of you shred the trails like that on adv bikes was awesome, but the way you caught the GoPro cuts, camera footage & drone clips in the edit made it absolutely amazing. Sick video! 🤘
That knock your mate took to his forks. There is a screw that holds the fork guard to the bottom of the leg in the casting. If that takes a knock it could break the casting. I have replaced those with plastic number plate screws. That way they shear off without damaging the casting. I have had to replace the one on the left due to that sort of knock since doing the mod. Excellent vid, makes me want to go out on mine, then I look at the frost outside . . . roll on spring here in the Northern hemisphere
