This legend has now given us the most Aussie motorcycle video ever. Track riding in the bush, with skippy's all over the place, proper aussie narrator. Only thing missing is a drop bear falling in your lap in the break by the three.
You'll never see a drop bear mate. They'll just discover your remains. Plus Reimann always rides with vegmite behind his ears. Never in the history of Australia has a drop bear attacked someone with Vegemite behind their ears.
Mate, by the time you've seen a drop bear, it's too late. You're a goner. Of course, that's assuming the dinner-plate spiders and mega-roos haven't nailed your ass already.

Hopefully eventually all that chaff will filter out and leave guys like Adam - ride the bike or shut up. Don't even waste time with those people reading release notes - I mean lawd, we can all read also but then again people must 'work their viewership'; its all nonsense. Another thing, there's something uncompromizing in Adams character; you know he's not gonna bullshit you. Love that he told them their previous bike was shite!
Thanks for saying you would test this bike. The press release reviews: "sexy", "cool", blah blah blah... Glad BMW decided they actually wanted someone that could ride it the way they want to sell it. Always a pleasure Adam.
You're my favorite. Honest, authentic; and you allow me to believe your assessment. As an F800Gs rider, I'm grateful you accepted this assignment. Bless you mate!
Pro rider on a 900 says “nobody needs this much power off-road”. Meanwhile my buddies are buying 1300cc adventure bikes because they “need” the power 😂
Most use their bikes on the roads. A big boxer BMW is in fact very fun and capable bike on the pavement. Can do well on the racetrack and still go offroad if one wishes.
If you consider what was in this video “off road” then 🤣😂🤡 flat dirt road is not offroad. Get a dual sport or enduro for proper offroad. Adventure bikes suck offroad.

Last year i was between this and the World Raid, but as soon as i realized the tank on this bike holds only 14L yet it weights 13kg more than the T7WR, i went with the WR. Plus this is filled with electronics, which i prefer not to have. Lately i also developed a serious case of mistrusting BMWs reliability. Plus the WR was a bit cheaper too, so no brainer there. Now, after 20+ years riding, 50+ owned motorcycles, i can confidently say that the T7WR might just be one of the best bikes ever made. Its almost like they took the recepie of the original 750 Africa Twin and said "ok, lets just make a new one of those, but with fuel injection and abs brakes", cuz everything else is pretty much the same. Same susp travel, same tank size, same weight, similar proportions, similar engine size/power/characteristic, etc. The T7WR is pretty much a new age 750AT, and i absolutely adore it. Never selling that bike, cant recommend it enough.
Ah, there's the catch. I looked at the size of the engine, and the power & torque, & thought "That's an Africa Twin but 16kg lighter!" But really it's only lighter because it's carrying a load less fuel. 🤔
I ended up with a Desert X, it seemed like the DX is exactly what all T7 owners wish a standard T7 was in terms of features etc. I would have given the T7WR a serious consideration but alas, Yamaha sucks and do not offer the T7WR in the USA. In the end the DX is amazing but I upgraded the suspension to Tractive and now it is almost untouchable and that is said with caution because I also own an 890 Rally. The DX is amazing offroad and almost even better on road. I owned my last BMW (2021- R1250GS) I don't think this new BMW will be as sought after as the T7 variants, 890's or DX's but you never know. I would love to see Adam give the new DX Rally a good thrashing. Maybe one day Yamaha will wake up.....;-)
@@chrisvantassel8867 yeah i dont know why they dont export the WRs to the US. @@chipsnpeasifuplz the range on the WR is insane. Yamaha claims up to 500km range and let me tell you, they are being very humble with that claim. By far the best motorcycle review I've watched on youtube or anywhere else for that matter. Nice to see such an honest and no BS telling of what the bike is capable of etc. Thank you sir!
Your adventure rides and rawness are what brought me here, but your honest reviews, feedback, no BS and stating it how it is mentality is really refreshing (aka loved the comment about the F800GS, and agree). Bloody fantastic review . So refreshing to listen to a no bullshit straight up rider that can actually walk the walk. Punishing UA-cam influencers on a junket press release riding slowly in single file on a gravel road is hardly a thorough evaluation of a bikes performance and handling. Good on ya Adam.
This is the F900GS review I've been waiting for! Your skill is amazing and showcase the assorted features so well. Thank you from the desert of southwest USA.
Awesome review and I love how open and honest your are with reviews regardless of brand! Definitely looks leaps and bounds ahead of the old 850 model and I noticed straight away as well that it looks nice and light in the back-end and was hoping you had good things to say about it! I would definitely love to try one in the near future! Great video and looking forward to part 2!
Just recently I took this bike on 2-day BMW enduro training and fell in love with the bike. Feels lighter and easier on slow technical stuff, compared to top heavy T7. Easier as the seat height is a bit lower. Loved the ergonomics of the handlebar, brakes and clutch and the predictability of the brakes. Rear brake gets bent constantly and rear pegs need to go as the clip your boot constantly. The engine - chinese made - sounds rattly and loose. T7 wins here for me. But overall bike feels like home to me. If only it wouldn’t be so damn expensive. If you could throw some comparison to T7 in your opinion; ergonomics, weight, center of gravity, it would be greatly appreciated.
Well Adam, honestly not a BMW fan but hey as I get older who knows, you've gotta keep an open mind, but from the reviews I've seen on this F900 so far I'm pretty impressed, because it's the only bike they have produced in it's class that's even close to what I'd call a great adventure mount. I'm sure I'll get shot down for saying so.😅 Excellent review and cinematography, film making whatever you call it. I love honest reviews and not the promo crap. Good job mate! 👍😜🇦🇺
Amazing skills pushing that Beemer through the bush like it's a 125. You definitely have the skills that pay the bills. Great video showing this Beemer's capabilities straight out of the crate. Love how you go through the bike unfiltered and provide an unbiased factual first impression. Keep these videos coming.
Love your videos, no matter what you do. And I‘d love to see more of the action (your arms and dash etc) like some Motocross dudes are filming, with the cam being a bit lower. That‘d be so awesome as I love any time I see your hands steering and guiding the bike. Anyway thanks for all the content!
Still not lean enough for adv enthusiasts like me to even consider, but have to admit its first time i see bmw going into right direction in adv world and that deserve credit. This got my attention but to get my interest we need at minimum 230mm+ KYB/WP fully adjusted legs and under 205kg with full tank. Power and features are there for sure 👍🏿
Awesome to see Your take on it Adam, look so forward to see you chasing the roo's with a tuned suspension. We will probably learn something. Thats the best with your projects along with the quality!
Just the bike I wanted Adam to ride and share his review. I'm literally between the F900 GS or the T7 for my next bike (After doing my research and comparing other bikes). Coming from someone who rode KTM 990 Adventures (Also had 950 adv as well), and did enduro racing (300xcw) in my earlier years. But so far, the T7 suits my riding style. Your review would help a lot in my decision making :D. Also, I originally had the BMW HP2 that was discontinued years ago, wished BMW made one again but lets see how the F900 handles, maybe its the new HP2.
THX for this honest testing. BMW is one of the big players and usually test run in their favour. Thius is why your judegment is very wellcome, especially on this bike ;-)
When it comes to interface think about it as a 3 levels. You switch between levels using menu button up and down, then left and right on specific leven is when you move wheel left and right and to set something you are rolling the wheel :) best interface on the market in my opinion. And about this old bike that you was talking about, it was f800. F850 is like pre facelift of this you was riding now ;)
You have to get in front of them before they pile up into the corner fence. Once you get in front and check out, they all stop and wonder what all the fuss was about.
I love all the thinking out loud, it makes the review 100% more "real" and more engaging, like we're there. Another great video Adam 🤘🏼 looking forward to Pt.2 ...I'd also like to hear your comparison with the T7 but I can almost guess your response IF you were to be drawn on that 😉
I've got a 1250GS and T7 in the stable, and they are both very capable, but different tools, designed for different jobs. Hard to even consider adding a 900GS in between them, or to swap the 900GS for the T7 ...I'm not feeling it. Besides that 900GS is nowhere near as intoxicating as an uncorked T7 with a full titanium exhaust system. Nowhere near.
Loving the way you put it through the motions. A lot of personal anticipation as I sold off the 850 and got a crf1100 but now evaluating whether this 900 will cut it compared to Africa Twin. 🤞
Great (first part) review Adam (love the channel by the way). I'm getting back into motorcycles after a long long long break and wanted something to adventure on - i liked the idea of being part of organised rides and the BM GS stuff was looking like a great place to start and get involved - and then late last year i saw this machine being lobbed into the market - so things aligned and now i have one of these (in fact the exact model) - have just run in for its 1000km over the last few weeks and now its on it way in a truck to Sydney to start the 2024 GS Safari later this month. Getting those 1000km on it was important for me to get use to riding again !!! i've been watching lots of your tips on off-road work over the last few months - its really inspiring stuff and i almost couldn't believe my eyes when i saw you riding this bike and showing what is possible (over time with lots of practice, clearly) .... obviously no bike is perfect (even though the T7 your are modding is getting close right) .... looking forward to part 2 when you tweak a few things with those front shocks .. its certainly taking things in the right direction for mid weight adventure type bikes anyway - which i think is great by opening up different options for different folks ...
Nothing like seeing a machine in the hands of a real expert. Makes me want to sell my Ninja 1000 and go bush on one of these. Excellent footage, riding and commentary.
In my opinion they took inspiration from the New Honda Transalp and Aprilia Tuareg, but the result seems pretty solid. Cheers from your Number 1 italian fan, love your works Adam
I’ve watched every F900 GS review on the internet. This definitely has the best action shots with the arse drifting. When I test rode it I was amazed at the balance of the bike too. I signed a contract to buy one the same day.
Nice one Adam. Yeah, I wonder what the capability difference is between the T7 and the BM. I bet you the BM is a lot more expensive. 200cc more will be attractive to those who do more on road than off mind you.
@@grahambrown3718 you can't really spec up the T7 unless you start adding farkles. Anyway I looked into this for fun. Prices are MSRP and in CAD Tenere 700 special edition base price 13,899 BMW F900 base price 14,595 BMW F900 Dynamics package 2,150 (16,745) BMW F900 Dynamics and Enduro package 4,985 (18,844) This is without freight and PDI, taxes, dealer fees etc Edit: forgot to add AT Africa Twin base is 17,299 (I substracted PDI)
Full disclosure, I'm a BMW fan boy 😂. Excited about this bike. Has put a hold on my next purchase until I can ride the thing. It looks the part. Keen to see part II of what your thoughts are. Good work as usual 👏
When I first saw the bmw promo vids of the F900 I was thinking ‘hang on a minute this is a bit of a different from BMW’…from what you’re saying Adam it sounds like BMW are wanting to take a run directly at the mid size segment bikes on the market that are the best of the off roaders
I always had that thought, how you keep your camera and lens clean and out of dust, when you put the tripod just few meters next to you when you passing by ?? Of course is weather / dust resistance , but again , theres a looot of dust... I scare to put my a7iv near at the place that i drive with my T7 !!
Holy shit best review style ever! Subscribed! The sound of that motor gushing out torque sounds like a pissed off warthog. Can't wait to hear it with a solid exhaust system on it. Thanks ARiemann1
Watching your videos got me into adventure bikes, that being said I just got my 1st adventure bike Ducati multistrada 1200 on a 2012 plate. Hope to have some great adventures of my own here in the UK. Love the videos 👌
I would like a small comparison between this and the T7 World Raid. In your opinion which would be the better bike for both off-road and long distance travel. Thanks
I think the bmw f900gs is a good bike, rode mates and it impressed me, so much it impressed me I'm thinking about trading my 23 plate Desert X, 100 percent T7 killer and it will knock the desert x down the list as will it do the same to the 890 ktms in my opinion, its got firm and sporty feeling on road and suspension alot firmer than my desert X, very smooth quick shifter and strong brakes , it got great electronics package, very comfy and a mx feel to it, once the 3rd party stuff is avaliable it be a great offroad adv bike... 14.5 liter tank not great but 56-57 miles to gallon is good, not fussed on the 17 inch rear wheel as it does limit tyre choice for offroad riding but id deffo get one if i was looking for a bike right now ..
Fantastic....I can't wait for Pt. 2......I own the Rhino (1250 GSA) but when I saw BMW came out with this I started to consider it just from the weight standpoint alone. SO SO happy that BMW invited you to do this and you excepted. You are one of, if not the most straight forward REAL experts speaking on and giving advise and insights on UA-cam. Keep all the content coming.....@stanforadventure
I've tested this bike for my channel last week but the "road" version. bmw just nailed it! just dont know if that version has the same quickshifter that the road version has, if so, i would say that could be dangerous on offroad... that do you think ? Btw awsome video mate
Now this is a proper review of the bike, not somewhere in Portugal with "novice" off-road riders! Would love to see a direct comparison between the KTM 890 Adventure R against this? Pleeeaaassse!!
Excellent. Mow you've run it in, can we see you giving it some kendo? Seriously, i know i couldn't exploit everything that bike offers. Too much. But good watching someone else do it. Ride safe 👍
Great honest review for this bike as all the others so far give you specs and staff you would expect them to say. Debating wether to go for one of these instead of a World Raid. Cant wait until the second installment on this review
good looking bike and rides good. Well done. Ive ridden the gs800 and it is cumbersome but the engine is nice paired with an akro. decent for dirt roads and tarmac.
I would love to live in a place where there was that kind of countryside to ride in! I have a BMW GS1200Rallye and I have to ride for at least a whole day on the highway to find a place to enjoy my bike. I used to live in Arizona and could just take off across the desert anytime. Guess what I'm saying is nothing better than having a bike like that BMW 900 and having a place to enjoy it!
How would you compare this to the 23/24 890 Adventure R? Got one and at 1k miles the gearbox is being replaced due to some funny sensor going and smashing everything when I used the blipper.
It dont feel as fast on road but it's not slow lol its deceptively how quick it is, its a very linear power delivery and feels less torque to the 890 but it 100 percent as fast , it feels more nimble and feels more comfy than his old 890, electronics are very similar , only thing I didn't like about the bmw was the 17 inch rear wheel, my mate got rid of his 890 and got the f900gs instead as its got slightly lower seat height and its better looking . I've ridden his old ktm 890 and his f900gs and I prefer the bmw over the ktm, I'm thinking about trading my desert x in for the bmw next year, the quick shifter is buttery smooth and the brakes are strong, suspension feels pretty firm and sporty on road . You won't be disappointed in trading the ktm 890 for the bmw as it impressed me
"Caged animal with so much power". To have such a powerful engine is good for adrenaline, but do we have the trails for them? In my region I have only slowish trails. Don't need a beast. But others do. Good that BMW has nailed it after the disappointing 850. Looking forward to your next episode, Günter/Nürnberg

You are the best content for motorcycles on UA-cam, and i dont own an enduro bike, but you deliver the most genuine content i have seen. Thanks
This is a great viddy. Love the testing you’re doing for this bike!
Love the single track footage especially.
Great review and love the roos as a backdrop. Great to know the bike is more capable than I am, thanks
This is essentially the same power and weight as my 09 950R super enduro. It’s a tonne of power and a riot on the trail! Great review.
Now let's see 600-700 version with 80hp+ and above specs, like Tuareg and we would have another, third candidate for 🦄 after kove800x and Tuareg ;]
Very glad to hear that BMW has got their act together. You're already good, but Health and happiness to you and yours!
Always love the insight that you bring to these motorcycle tests 👍
Awesome to see Your take on it Adam, look so forward to see you chasing the roo's with a tuned suspension. We will probably learn something. Thats the best with your projects along with the quality!
Lots of people are going to be even more excited about this thing after watching this video.
Ya, not a big BM fan, but that bike looks good and clearly have off-road performance 🍻
The best review of this motorcycle by far
Great feedback so far. Thanks Adam. Excited to watch the next episode.
4:35 "Okay let's conquer this hill" VROOM VROOM VROOM "Noice..."
absolute LEGEND Adam!!! you never dissapoint with your reviews and testing!!
Keeping it real takes balls and individuality. You got em both. Keep up the good stuff mate.
When it comes to interface think about it as a 3 levels. You switch between levels using menu button up and down, then left and right on specific leven is when you move wheel left and right and to set something you are rolling the wheel :) best interface on the market in my opinion. And about this old bike that you was talking about, it was f800. F850 is like pre facelift of this you was riding now ;)
Great summary... Classic move 5:48 overtaking Roos on the fenceline, she'll be right 🙂
You have to get in front of them before they pile up into the corner fence.
Best adv content on UA-cam. Thanks for sharing.
No wonder they asked you to review the bike.....great stuff, thanks Adam! I look forward to your thoughts on adjustments to suite your riding!!
Adam your videos are another level. Love watching them. Very therapeutical 👍
Nothing like seeing a machine in the hands of a real expert. Makes me want to sell my Ninja 1000 and go bush on one of these. Excellent footage, riding and commentary.
I think the older one you rode given the photos was the 800 with the fuel tank at the back not the 850 which was a bike that spawned this 900.
Gotta love the Aussie reviews, no BS hauling ass through the bush with roos everywhere!
In my opinion they took inspiration from the New Honda Transalp and Aprilia Tuareg, but the result seems pretty solid. Cheers from your Number 1 italian fan, love your works Adam
Great watching someone who can really ride reviewing bikes !
How would you compare this to the Tuareg 660? not taking the obvious HP and TQ differences
Here in Canada the starting price of the F900 is nearly the same as the T7 (not the WR)
@@nwbasson I’m surprised at that. That’s good though.
@@grahambrown3718 I just checked the price for a fully loaded F900 that sold, it's gets close to Africa Twin territory 😬
@@nwbasson makes sense. Is the entry level bm about the same price as a specced up T7?
@@grahambrown3718 you can't really spec up the T7 unless you start adding farkles. Anyway I looked into this for fun. Prices are MSRP and in CAD
Tenere 700 special edition base price 13,899
BMW F900 base price 14,595
BMW F900 Dynamics package 2,150 (16,745)
BMW F900 Dynamics and Enduro package 4,985 (18,844)
This is without freight and PDI, taxes, dealer fees etc
Edit: forgot to add AT
Africa Twin base is 17,299 (I substracted PDI)
Full disclosure, I'm a BMW fan boy 😂.
Excited about this bike. Has put a hold on my next purchase until I can ride the thing. It looks the part. Keen to see part II of what your thoughts are. Good work as usual 👏
How does it compare to the T7? (considering power isn't a issue since you can't use full power of both of the bikes offroad)
When I first saw the bmw promo vids of the F900 I was thinking ‘hang on a minute this is a bit of a different from BMW’…from what you’re saying Adam it sounds like BMW are wanting to take a run directly at the mid size segment bikes on the market that are the best of the off roaders
Awesome! Thank you, this is the review I’ve been waiting for.
I always had that thought, how you keep your camera and lens clean and out of dust,
when you put the tripod just few meters next to you when you passing by ??
Of course is weather / dust resistance , but again , theres a looot of dust...
I scare to put my a7iv near at the place that i drive with my T7 !!
Haha i had the same thought already few times :) I think it is not that close as it seems with the tele lens 😊
Refreshing to see this way of reviewing a adventure bike 👍
I would like a small comparison between this and the T7 World Raid. In your opinion which would be the better bike for both off-road and long distance travel. Thanks
Beast indeedy , thanks for your candour and simple considered responce , much respect for the channel
I'll be checking out this GS and the Tiger 900
Been waiting for a meaningful off-road review on this bike !!
BMW knew what they were doing when they asked you to test it.
Very enjoyable to watch.
Says he wants to send it harder next video.
This was literally hardest riding of the bike i saw on youtube.
Absolute Madlad.
Great videos, amazing videography and tehcnical content. How do you compare it to the Tenere 700, more expensive gets you more bike?
Looking forward to the next episode on this bike. Well done mate!
An ‘adventure bike’ with only 14L tank, by the time you put luggage and fuel bladders on the back there goes the balance 🤦♂️
Now this is a proper review of the bike, not somewhere in Portugal with "novice" off-road riders! Would love to see a direct comparison between the KTM 890 Adventure R against this? Pleeeaaassse!!
... Sick little edit full of information and motivation as always Adam.. cheers brother 🙏💪
Great first ride on the 900… looking forward to episode 2 with your modifications… by the way Adam, fantastic clip👌
You should absolutely test more bikes, love the content!
Nice review! Waiting for the next video.
It would be great if you get a AJP PR7 to test!
