Meh it was meant to be single player. i don't know why we cry for more single player games then try and turn them into multiplayer. The gamers really don't know what they want anymore. i enjoy it as a single player i wouldn't mind like a 1-4 co-op but 200 players on this map that has nothing for multiplayer. meh

Let's put that into some context. When you look at some video games, it's not often the case, Skyrim for exemple has a coop mods but it's very clanky and does not perform very well, same with Cyberpunk 2077, even though the mod isn't out, it's a pain in the ass to make. I'm no expert in the matter, but my best guess in the matter is that the engine used play a major role in facilitating developping such mods. Skyrim and Cyberpunk are running on proprietary game engines (Creation Engine and RedEngine respectively), Hogwarts Legacy is running on Unreal Engine 4 which is alot more documented and got a bigger community to make stuff that can be reused in games and mods.
Even if they finish this with no NPCs or Story stuff it could be the base for quite a huge RP server where the players create the content and the server is just there to support them. Provide some interactions. Commands for certain things. Maybe some custom NPCs for shops and stuff.
I disagree only in commands and etc. Can we just play the same that simple game, like it is, but online. Like we can go together to just flying around on brooms

Imagine Dueling, with everyone using the same spell and talent tree overhauls? So there could actually be a variety of different build paths and spell combinations instead of just everyone spamming the same meta tactic. There could be guilds/gangs/clubs or whatever and people could fight over turf in the school. The potential for this is crazy.

HWL is a 1p game, it does not in any sense work to have multiple people together. they would have to rework most of the game's systems to truly support a polished end result.

The entire codebase was developed with single player only in mind, it's virtually impossible to convert such as a massive game like this to multiplayer. To get a multiplayer experience, a real one, they would need to create a new game and design it with multiplayer in mind.
If the developers for this mod could add tons of QOL features missing from the base game, fix performance issues, and proximity chat, I wouldn't touch any other game my entire life.

The less the people would definitely help. But being cut down to 40 feels limiting as the map itself is MASSIVE. Especially if you're only using a broom. The fact that all the players are rendered in 24/7 doesn't help either lmao

You know what, modding community are fantastic when it comes to games where people are like "This should of been included" then the modding community come along and just blow everything out of the water and make the game 100x awesome. I feel like multiplayer SHOULD have been a feature added to the game on release. Now we are seeing a mod application come out to make that happen and prove that it could of been done from the developers. I think the modding community should just make games from now on.
Its just kind of sad Modders have to do this stuff for free. Like you know the developers are gonna put this in as their own creation but slightly tweaked.
The improvements that I'd recommend for the mod would be decreasing the players to a smaller number like 60 or 80. Its still a good amount of players but if its cpu heavy, it could help having less players. But, from what I've noticed there isn't anything related to PvP combat. It is a very early build, and I get that. But it should definetly be fun for all of us wizards to fight with the most of their abilities. Especially when the AI at a certain level becomes easy. Maybe even the ability to make parties to make it easier to find your friends if they're doing quests in different areas to progress in whatever they're trying to achieve. Might even speed up the final boss 😂 Just whatever happens, do NOT let players drop items for other players. It would just cheat out the game. Sure we wanna help our mates get through quests, but giving them 25 healing potions is a bit much. The base game still needs its challenge aspect. Especially if players are trading items as like clothing and shit. Especially with the enchantments you can put on it. Imagine a level 5 with legendary gear 😂 Finally, I want to emphasise I know the creator for the mod is NOT the youtuber but the actual team behind it. This is more of me just adding my input on the mod as a whole. I encourage any feedback as this would not only improve the mod itself, but also general opinions are helpful.

This game is not optimize for multiplayer. It is possible but it will take time imo. I wouldn't be surprise if someone will make an rp servers with additional mods included such as sitting on chairs, sleeping, character emotes, etc.

In my eyes the game should’ve always been optional Co-op with friends at the least. The whole Harry Potter story is literally about his adventure with his friends. This game is the total opposite of that.

Yep! when I last tested it, you have to remove ANY mods you have installed for singleplayer, and even reshades too. But that may change as it gets developed
According to the developers of this mod/platform, the potential is virtually endless! You could have a private server with just you and your close friends, all accepting the same quest and going to explore, killing poacher camps, exploring dungeons together, with possible dueling or other things! Plus maybe even Hogwarts role playing servers!
Its amazing what a bunch of people can do in the modding community. They manage bring the best of those games and im all for it. I believe this can get even better and I love this idea of having so many people in the school, just like the movies.
I think, yes Player Lod limits, for when there are a lot of players around, [not rendering the further away ones] and a quality lod [disabling physics on players clothes & hair when there are a lot of players around] We could be looking at the next big RP Game in the same way GTA5 ended up being.

The reason I didn't buy H.L. is bc it wasnt going to be multiple. In my opinion, it would be a great game if it was an MMO RP (where you attend classes which in return gave you missions/quests to either practice spells (using right joystick to flick wond correctly to cast while chance % increases over time from repeated use.) or making potions by have to gather ingredients around the map/school. Also access to the library to increase your knowledge/capabilities would be cool. Energy & hunger stats.. anything to give the game an immersive role playing experience.
We need a versus mode… Each player can utilize any spells their player has and anything in their room of requirement. The battle field is the castle itself. Your team is whatever house you’re in. The objective is to sneak into all opposing common rooms and steal a flag or banner. First team to have all 4 house banners back in your common room wins. If you have Unforgivable curses each can be used once per game. Also add the ability to fly and use the wand on your mount. (Just have the rooftop courtyard door blocked going into ravenclaw common room) Or have an all men for themselves in the open world map, including hogsmede. Just shrink the open world to the Hogsfield regions north of the castle and the forbidden forest.
At this rate AAA companies just put out the framework and bare bones, and once again the modding community take the game even further. Can see this becoming the new "FiveM" for Role-Play.
Even if they did what COD does (afaik) where they somewhat reduce the graphics/ details in certain areas for miltiplayer modes, to the point it runs smoothly and still looks great but is just more capable of having multiple players online at once. Definitely need a quidditch mode tho!
im starting ot think im the only one that didnt have any problems with this game even Day one, most i had was a little fps drops but it was playable and pretty stable, im not on god hardwear i was using a I7 1070k and a GTX 1060. maybe im super lucky with these things.
Only downside of HL multiplayer, that HL game engine comes with bad otimizations in first place, and poor performance kills it for such open-world rpg. Oher than that HL multiplayer are very big room to grow with great oportunity to atract a lot pf players in this genre, where no other games as HL.
Modders making the game to be what it should have been in the first place. We need actual RP games that focus on moddability and huge amounts of people on same server roleplaying.
Knowing WB, as soon as mod will be ready, they will sue devs claiming the rights for the mod, and will try to use it to create some kind of online HP game...
It's going to be a lot of UA-camrs against each other low levels and high levels with every spell broom flying plus don't forget to unforgivable curses but what about the voices

This is what hogwarts legacy should have been like anyway, it's a shame that modders have to step up to do this. I completed Hogwarts Legacy ages ago and it's pretty much a dead end

Its amazing what a bunch of people can do in the modding community. They manage bring the best of those games and im all for it. I believe this can get even better and I love this idea of having so many people in the school, just like the movies.
I think, yes Player Lod limits, for when there are a lot of players around, [not rendering the further away ones] and a quality lod [disabling physics on players clothes & hair when there are a lot of players around]

Imagine if this game turned into something like World of Warcraft 🤯 Open world MMORPG..I would probably play this game till the end of my life xD This is just my opinion but I believe this single player game is just a test as ppl were expected something big from the developers and here we are after 6 years..they did delivered, ppl loved it so from now on they can start to think about creating maybe a multiplayer game for the future? I think WB and Avalance know very well how much potencial in this HP world and they won't let us down :) Hoping for the best :)))

The reason I didn't buy H.L. is bc it wasnt going to be multiple.
In my opinion, it would be a great game if it was an MMO RP (where you attend classes which in return gave you missions/quests to either practice spells (using right joystick to flick wond correctly to cast while chance % increases over time from repeated use.) or making potions by have to gather ingredients around the map/school.
Also access to the library to increase your knowledge/capabilities would be cool.
Energy & hunger stats.. anything to give the game an immersive role playing experience.
We need a versus mode…
Each player can utilize any spells their player has and anything in their room of requirement.
The battle field is the castle itself. Your team is whatever house you’re in. The objective is to sneak into all opposing common rooms and steal a flag or banner. First team to have all 4 house banners back in your common room wins.
If you have Unforgivable curses each can be used once per game. Also add the ability to fly and use the wand on your mount. (Just have the rooftop courtyard door blocked going into ravenclaw common room)
Or have an all men for themselves in the open world map, including hogsmede. Just shrink the open world to the Hogsfield regions north of the castle and the forbidden forest.

At this rate AAA companies just put out the framework and bare bones, and once again the modding community take the game even further. Can see this becoming the new "FiveM" for Role-Play.
Nothing to do with 160 people if HG Legacy will stay as a puzzle and box unlocking game...

Even if they did what COD does (afaik) where they somewhat reduce the graphics/ details in certain areas for miltiplayer modes, to the point it runs smoothly and still looks great but is just more capable of having multiple players online at once. Definitely need a quidditch mode tho!
im starting ot think im the only one that didnt have any problems with this game even Day one, most i had was a little fps drops but it was playable and pretty stable, im not on god hardwear i was using a I7 1070k and a GTX 1060. maybe im super lucky with these things.
If Quidditch isnt implemented via DLC, ill be really angry at the Devs!!!!

When a game is CPU bound that means the game is unoptimized. I will never buy this game full price.

Only downside of HL multiplayer, that HL game engine comes with bad otimizations in first place, and poor performance kills it for such open-world rpg. Oher than that HL multiplayer are very big room to grow with great oportunity to atract a lot pf players in this genre, where no other games as HL.

Modders making the game to be what it should have been in the first place. We need actual RP games that focus on moddability and huge amounts of people on same server roleplaying.

It's going to be a lot of UA-camrs against each other low levels and high levels with every spell broom flying plus don't forget to unforgivable curses but what about the voices
We dont need 160 players lol. Just make it stable for 2v2 or 4v4 like Elden ring. Whats the use of bringing 160 players in a game like that?
Lots of people want this game to feel like an MMO with tons of players running around, and also to role play, so the more players the better for those.
This is what hogwarts legacy should have been like anyway, it's a shame that modders have to step up to do this. I completed Hogwarts Legacy ages ago and it's pretty much a dead end
