      Is Dracorex a valid species?
      Dracorex | Encyclopedia MDPI
      Dracorex is a controversial dinosaur genus of the family Pachycephalosauridae, from the Late Cretaceous of North America. The type (and only known) species is Dracorex hogwartsia, meaning "dragon king of Hogwarts". This dinosaur is named for the wizard school in Harry Potter books.

    If you want a functional ecosystem, you really should use the automated bays to simulate reproduction. You also should minimize the use of feeders and not even bother with removing corpses.

    10:26 ok, as a student taking paleontology classes in college, let me give my two cents. Now, I am NOT an expert, but I am going off what I have learned. If I am wrong, feel free to let me know, provided you do it in a way that isn’t toxic or annoying or something akin to a man-baby complaining about how I was wrong about the amount of toes the animal had or something stupid. Constructive criticism and polite corrections ONLY.
    Now, the dinosaur “Brontosaurus” being fake WAS correct in the past, and the fossils found that were classified as Brontosaurus was actually the body of an Apatosaurus and the head of a Camarasaurus. Apatosaurus existed previously and the name was given first to true Apatosaurus Specimens, so the name Apatosaurus stuck, while the name Brontosaurus was “retired.”
    HOWEVER! This has changed. While Apatosaurus remains the same, more fossils of sauropods suggests Brontosaurus was its own related, yet distinct species. You can do your own research for yourself, but from what I found, the differences included slight size changes, posture, neck length, and other things. The animals are similar, yes, but are NOT the same, and some scientists believe these differences allow Brontosaurus to be truly classified as it’s own distinct species of sauropod dinosaur. This is still a highly debated topic so feel free to do your own research and from your own opinions. But, yeah. Some scientists believe, and with a good amount of distinct evidence, that Brontosaurus now counts as it’s own distinct lineage of sauropod dinosaur.

    Something to have considered here is that not all Dinos have the same exploration range. Sauropods, Armored Herbivores, and foot-high carnivores have the lowest exploration range, with medium and large carnivores having a decent range, while Hadrosaurs, and Ornithimisaurids overall have the largest exploration range, making them a good migratory group for ideas like this. They also helps alleviate prey needs (Hadrosaurs, that is)

    • @AncientWildTV
      @AncientWildTV Місяць тому +2

      yeah, the anatomy and ecological roles of these dinosaurs influenced how far they could travel and adapt to their environments.

    • @user-TN65K0
      @user-TN65K0 Місяць тому +1

      Another thing to consider with this is the amount of animals that are gonna herd sauropods are meh like they stay in a relatively similar area but aren’t clumped together ceratopsians usually have one huge herd and a few smaller herds ankylosaurids and stegosaurids mostly live in smaller groups pachycephelosaurids live like the sauropods like in the smilies area but not always right next to eachother for some reason I’ve only seen the tyrannosaurus move together out of my time using the large carnivores all the others just separate the medium carnivores separate and sometimes meet up smaller carnivores like the sauropods stay in the similar area and the hadrosaurs and ornithomimids live in small groups cause they migrate so much

    First, Coelophysis is pronounced "see-low-fy-sis".
    Second, Nodosaurids are a sub-group of ankylosaurs.
    Third, Apatosaurus and Brontosaurus used to be two different dinos, then they were merged, and then recently new evidence suggests that Brontosaurus was its own dinosaur.

The scientists ultimately showed that Brontosaurus was distinct from Apatosaurus, one of the main differences being that Apatosaurus was more massive and robust with a thicker and lower-set neck than Brontosaurus.
