    Curly Susie is the one who turned me onto BioTerra Gel. I would watch her videos for her application tips. My guess from watching you apply and seeing the results is that your hair appear led to be quite dry when you applied. All gels world better when applied onto soaking wet, well moisturized hair.

      We have very different hair texture. I have a lot of dry coarse hair while I believe her hair is more soft and not as dry. I think that's why it works better for her.

      @@DebNYCurl Maybe you should try Curly Susie's method on soaking wet hair. Nevermind that it's dry.

      Curly Susie convinced me to try BioTerra Gel, too. If I need to add a bit more, I had water to it in my hands & mix. I think I paid less than $8 on Amazon for a 32 oz bottle.

      Yes! I use a leave in and then apply the gel. No flakes at all! Love this gel and it works wonders on my 3c/4a curly hair. They're not many reviews about this gel. Shame.

    Your hair needs to be wetter and use praying hands method to apply over a leave in,, comb through and scrunch out excess water with a cotton towel to encourage the curl. You seem to touch your hair alot when diffusing which encourages frizz. Watch `Manes by Mell`` videos...she has excellent advise for curly hair care and diffusing.

    • @DebNYCurl
      @DebNYCurl  4 роки тому +1

      No, I only touch my hair when it's dry to get the crunch out, if any, and sorta fluff it up. In my videos I edit a lot of drying time out. My fingers never ever touch my hair while styling until its 100% dry. It's the product. Just not for my hair. I always style the same with other products , my hair comes out amazing. I don't like to keep my curls wet when applying products. Water makes hair frizzy so I use a microfiber towel to get as much water out of my hair. Better for curls. But everyone has different texture and different curls. Whatever works best for them I suppose. 😊

    I hate the flakes too. In the past you and I agreed our hair is very similar. I am currently using Deva one condition as a co-wash THE. THE BLUEBERRY BLISS AND LEAVE-IN by” Curls” andddd... WOWWWWW. No frizz which my hair has been so frizzy lately even though I would condition, condition, and condition. Then I thought perhaps what I am using has too much GLYCERIN. That’s when I decide to try a stying product without glycerin. Pooooofff! Holy moly what a game changer. In summary,
    I leave in a little of the Deva one condition, next apply the blueberry leave-in, finally the curls blueberry bliss control jelly. MUST TRY!!

    Finally you tried this gel. Lol. I follow curly Susie and she swears by this gel. It definitely makes my hair look shiny. I think your hair doesn’t look as curly on the ends. I’m not sure if your touching it too much or you need a cream mixed with it. The more you fuss with your hair, the less curly it will be. The second day trial looked much better than the first. Don’t give up.

    • @DebNYCurl
      @DebNYCurl  4 роки тому +1

      Yea .. I don't know, I didn't love it. I used a product I like the following day and my hair looked so good. Curly suzie has very different hair then I do. I have dry coarse hair hers appears more soft. I think that's the problem. I'd also rather not have to use 2 different products knowing so many other products are so much better on me. I'll probably give it to my daughter I think she's going to get better results than me.

    I hate when gels flake like that maybe a leave in conditioner underneath might help. I've noticed if I put my stylers on wet hair when I'm still in the shower that doesn't happen.
