This is my all time favorite gel. I found this one based on Curly Susie about 3 months into my curly journey and have not used anything else since.
I bought my bottle almost a year ago and I still have plenty in it. It is the only gel I can use that doesn’t make my hair feel producty. I also do get a cast with it. But my hair feels very natural when I scrunch out the crunch. It feels like nothing is in my hair, but keeps my curls nice and moisturized for days. Love it!

@@ZotosProfessional I use Biotera Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner (2 big bottles) and the long and healthy line ( huge bottles as well) and love love the way they clean my scalp without over stripping them and how the conditioners are not overly loaded with silicone. Awesome product😍

@@karine8738 Hey girl. I'm not sure where you can get them from in Quebec but here in the USA it's sold by Sally beauty supply and they're everywhere.
I've got 2 bottles of those ultra repair as well (I believe orange flowers print on the bottle?)and I love them as well never stripped my hair. I'm transitioning from overly abusing my hair from hairdryer/straighteners/curling iron to my natural curly hair so these products sorta help some.

I bought this gel because Curly Susie uses it. If you find a gel with stronger hold, I'd like that. I have been using it paired with AG Curls mousse gel. I would just use Biotera if it had a stronger hold and my hair didn't look flat. I don't use any leave in because I haven't picked any up, but it seems like I don't need it.
My hair is similar to yours and I don't use a leave in conditioner bc I feel like it weighs my hair down... and I love my OUidad!
A stronger hold is Bada Bing Gel also a Sally’s Beauty product. I’ve been using it for a while and I like it but it does cause a slight protein buildup. Easily resolved with clarifying.

I love your videos and all your great info! I just tried blueberry bliss curl jelly and I really like it. It mixes well w my diy flax gel. I’m not sure if it’s a stronger hold than the bioterra. I’ve tried the alcohol free hypoallergenic version only. I got good results w that one. But it’s also a three as far as hold. It’s definitely thicker so I think the hold is higher. Blueberry bliss has a dud swap on Facebook. You send in a product that’s not working for you and they’ll send the curl jelly free, not just s sample but a full size. Pretty cool of them! This gel works AMAZING for me every now and then. But I can’t use it often because my hair is low porosity and too much protein dries my hair out 🙁
I get a decent cast with it if I air dry but not if I diffuse

I really like this gel but when I want a stronger hold, I mix it with Wetline Extreme gel and I get a good cast and great results. #budgetfriendlycurls 😅

Merci, LuLou! I had purchased this gel also because of CurlySusie and have loved it as you have experienced. Susie taught me the ‘Smasters’ technique, so using a wee bit more of the gel in that method added to its hold for me. Worth trying, no?
