I have had this lingering low back and hip pain from doing a kettlebell video about 2 months ago, and I’ve tried SO much to help- and this is the ONLY video that actually made a difference!!! I cannot think you enough! And I cannot wait to binge your other videos!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
Welcome, Lindsay! I’m thrilled that this video helped you so much! Low back pain is so frustrating to work through. I hope you enjoy the other videos as well! Thank you for your comment 😊
I've suffered 9 months of hell with a bad back. This video was the start of my recovery. I would do it most days and always noticed immediate relief afterwards. Now i'm pain free and this video 100 percent helped me. The best back pain video on You tube?
Thank you so much for this feedback-it really means a lot. I’m glad to hear the pacing felt supportive for your disk injury; back pain can be so specific and challenging, and I truly aim to create routines that respect that. Wishing you steady relief and strength on your healing journey, and thank you for trusting me to guide you through it! 🌼
hi Cailin.. i'll definitely try more of your videos.. i've done pilates for many years but my lower back went into spasm and tightened up at the weekend and this class really helped me this morning. Thank you so much!
I had lower back pain a couple of months ago. Doing the movements with Caitlin through this video helped to alleviate the pain and it was gone in 2 weeks. Thanks Caitlin. You are awesome! I have gone on to check up Cailin’s other UA-cam videos since we went into lockdown in mid August and I am hooked!
Hi Cailin just wanted to drop an note to say THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was shocked to have been relieved of months of chronic back pain from yoga x WFH with just one practice with you on this video. I've seen so many doctors and am seriously shook by how effective this was for me. Have moved on today to day 1 of the 30 day "balance" series and am just loving how I'm feeling. Your teaching style is incredible -- thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge of the body, and not being that "showy" type of instructor with big fancy moves but instead focusing on the subtle, and correct alignment with just the right amount of explanation. Looking forward to joining your classes often, and being able to continue with my outdoor sports without pain because I am actually FINALLY on the road to building the muscles I actually need to support my back
Oh wow, Ashley, thank YOU so much for sharing that! It fills my heart to hear that my classes and teaching style have resonated with you and are helping you! I'm glad that you're finally getting some relief from your back pain, and I hope you continue to feel better 😃
I have had chronic back pain for the majority of my life, and within the last year, it became so severe that I almost herniated 2 discs in my L4 & L5. I have been working with p.t. and chiro for 6 months, and this video has helped significantly more than my p.t ever has after one session! I am excited to incorporate this into my daily routine and will keep updating after a week of progress to hold myself accountable. I can not thank you enough for your content, I pray that you stay in good health as well.
Thank you so much for sharing this with me. It’s deeply moving to hear that this video has helped alleviate some of the pain you’ve been living with. Chronic back pain can be so challenging, and I’m incredibly honored that this routine is providing some relief and helping you in ways that resonate with your journey. I’m cheering you on as you incorporate it into your daily routine, and I’ll be here celebrating each bit of progress with you. Thank you for your kind wishes; I wish you all the best on this path to healing and strength.
Day 2 of this exercise. Thank you. I like the way you express how difficult you find some of the stretches. It gives me encouragement to find that even those who are more “expert” than I are human too. 😌
Hi Janet! So glad you've found this workout helpful 😊And, YES, we are all human and have weaknesses and difficulties too! I am a constant work in progress! Thanks for your comment 🙏
I have had a bad back for months. I have done this workout several times. My pain is easing and my back feels stronger. My physio is impressed. Thank you
Oh wow, that's wonderful!! Thanks so much for sharing, Gill! Persistent back pain can be so frustrating to deal with, so I'm glad this video has helped you find some relief 😀
I commented yesterday on your Pain Relief for Hamstring and Glutes in regards to my lower back spasms issues....and this one was my next in line to try. Over night my back really tightened up again and doing this workout seems to have loosened it up some more. Tomorrow I believe I will do both workouts and see how that goes. If too much, I'll just do one by one as back improves. Thank you so much ... 💖
BEST class i've done. - I have hypermobility and have been strongly recommended to strengthen these VERY muscles you suggested - this will be my morning work out daily - hopefully will stop the hips from freezing up once a month ( not able to bend over for 4days at a time) warm wishes from NZ - J
wow, i was suffering 9/10 sciatica pain in my right side for this entire week. this routine took it down to a 5/10. im going to keep doing this every day and hope i see major improvement. thank you so much
I’m so relieved to hear this routine helped ease your pain! Sciatica can be incredibly intense, so bringing it down from a 9 to a 5 is already a big step. Consistency is key, and I’m hopeful that with daily practice, you’ll continue to see even more improvement. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your healing journey, and I’m sending lots of positive energy for more relief and strength each day!
Whoa, I've had back pain for the past 3 weeks, I've made it 14 minutes into the video and it has relieved the pain greatly. It does come back as the day went on, but I'm going to be doing this regularly, even after my back has healed.
Supplemental to what I've said above..... the stretches and relief are almost orgasmic, kinda like the best stretch and yawn you've ever had.... relief and release from muscles you didn't know where tight.
Dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can watch all of the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my gf recently :)
Thank you sooo much for making this video! I have such bad sciatica and piriformis syndrome, I can’t describe how painful this is. After following your stretches for the past two days, the pain has almost gone! Thank youu so much!💗
This could not have been a more perfect video for me💖 The puppers pulled my back while going for another dog and this hit all the right spots💗 Thank you for helping me to feel better today💗
I have a hernia on my disc and i've tried a lot of things but nothing seens to help.. i will be trying your free classes online as well as phisycal classes, i really hope it gets better. Thanks a lot for the videos
You are so welcome, Janet! I'm sorry that you've been suffering with your back and hip pain for so long... I'm glad these exercises helped to offer you some relief 😊
Thank you for this . I have been suffering with lower back and hip pain for years . Particularly at night and in the morning. I’m going to try to do this regularly as a lot of things felt good ! The last stretch with the twisting was fine on right side but on left I was soooo tight I couldn’t even get close to what you said ! Interesting! That is my more ‘niggly side !
I’m so glad to hear that this class brought you some relief! Lower back and hip pain can be such a struggle, especially when it lingers through the night and morning. It’s wonderful that some of the moves felt good for you-consistency can really help with those persistent tight areas. Don’t worry about getting all the way into the stretch on your left side; it’s totally normal to have one side that feels tighter! Just keep listening to your body, and with regular practice, you may notice that flexibility improve over time. Sending you lots of strength and gentle stretches! 🌿💛
I did it I’d say the hardest and most uncomfortable one was doing those leg extensions while making sure your engaging with the core I don’t really have lower back pain only time I do is when I do long distance running but I do feel a lot better now thanks
Great job pushing through those leg extensions! They can be so challenging, especially when you’re focusing on core engagement the whole time. I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better after the workout-it’s amazing how even a little core work can help support the lower back, especially if you’re a long-distance runner. Thank you for joining me, and keep up the fantastic work!
Thank you, you just saved Christmas! This eased a very painful lower back spasm. This was such a lovely session, too. I really appreciated your explanation of technique and breathing. Looking forward to following more of your online classes.
Welcome, Lena! I think that may have been the first time I've been told I saved Christmas! lol 😝I'm so happy these movement helped to ease your spasm! I'm sure that was very painful and uncomfortable. The breath and the alignment/technique are both important pieces, so I'm glad you found those helpful! Thanks so much for your comment and I hope you enjoyed your holidays!!
That's wonderful, Whitney! Having a tight back is no fun at all, so I'm glad this helped!! I just checked out your channel and can't wait to go back and spend some more time watching your videos... I love your energy! I just released a 10-day pilates series if you're interested in doing pilates more consistently and progressing through more challenging exercises, and I'd love to hear what you think: ua-cam.com/play/PLCflSzXfT_vKCanmosQek5ws0oZzYC7UH.html Thanks so much for your comment!
So good. Reminders and guidance about abs very helpful. The black mat and leggings etc make it a little hard to see exactly what your body is doing when on the floor. Thank you
I had a microdiscectomy in September of this year and at my post op checkup my surgeon said I needed to do palates because my back is very tight. Hopefully this will help with that.
Hoje e a minha primeira aula e consegui fazer. Muito obrigado . 🙏❤❤❤
I’m so happy to hear that you were able to complete the class and that it brought you some relief! I can imagine how challenging it must have been to get back into physical activity after your accident, and it’s an honor to be part of your journey in a way that’s gentle and safe for your back and knee. How wonderful that your daughters shared the video with you! I hope the classes continue to be helpful. Thank you for being here, and congratulations on this achievement! 🌸
Hi, I'm Chris from Indonesia. Your explanation is awesome. I can follow your movement but unfortunatelly the texts sometime covered your body, I couldn't see your movement. I suggest you may put the texts upside.
Hi Chris! I'm so sorry you were having trouble seeing some of the movements, and thank you for letting me know! In most of my videos, I don't have text on the screen during the workouts so I don't think this will be an issue in my other videos. I'm glad the explanations were so helpful though! Please let me know if there are any certain types of videos you are interested in seeing on my channel! Thanks for your comment :)
My back has been getting worse and I have really been struggling to release and loosen up my spine... lower and neck areas... because I have chronic issues with my feet that have become worse and constant (seeing the orthopaedic surgeon next week). My problem is that even my chiropractic visit has just made my back "rebel" and I am really struggling.
Hey Cailin, thank you so much! I wake up with lower back pain and this was just what I needed to get going this morning. I have one question: my knees feel really sore when I do any of the exercises that require leaning on my knees, is this something I should avoid?
Hi Annie! It's my recommendation to avoid exercises that give you knee pain, but you should ask your doctor. You can always pad with a folded blanket or towel (or even a knee pad) under the knees and that may help!
Thank you good exercises. When I watched it, the dialogue was completely detached/different from what you were doing, as in you were describing one exercise and doing something quite different. Maybe it was just my internet or something has gone wrong at UA-cam?? But thanks anyway
Thank you for reaching out! Absolutely, I’d suggest trying a modified seated side stretch instead. You can sit cross-legged or with legs extended in front of you, and then gently reach over to each side without putting pressure on the knees. This way, you’ll still get that lovely side stretch while keeping it comfortable for your knees. I hope this helps, and please feel free to adjust anything else as you need-it’s all about making the practice work for you! 🌸
Hi Maria, sorry to hear if you're experiencing sciatica pain! Stretching the piriformis muscle is always a good place to start, such as the figure 4 stretch, and also a lower body twist (lying on the floor and crossing a bent knee across the body and gently pulling that knee down with the opposite hand). Hope that's helpful!
I have had this lingering low back and hip pain from doing a kettlebell video about 2 months ago, and I’ve tried SO much to help- and this is the ONLY video that actually made a difference!!! I cannot think you enough! And I cannot wait to binge your other videos!!

As a chronic low back pain sufferer I’ve tried all the exercises and all the videos and this is my favorite yet! Thank you!
Great video to help with my disk injury, glad you took your time. Most instructors don't seem to understand low back pain.

I love this workout… wondering if you have a lower back stretch workout to follow every morning. Maybe 5-7 minutes in length?
it was amazing! Thank you.

Re the side stretch at 28 minutes is there an easier alternative? - My knee problems make it difficult.
@@MVMTwithCailin Thanks v much Cailin,
What kind of stretch do you recommend for sciatica pain ?
Hi Maria, sorry to hear if you're experiencing sciatica pain! Stretching the piriformis muscle is always a good place to start, such as the figure 4 stretch, and also a lower body twist (lying on the floor and crossing a bent knee across the body and gently pulling that knee down with the opposite hand). Hope that's helpful!
I laughed out loud when you joked about the crap on your mat. I looked down at mine and there was onion peel and all sorts. I wobbled a bit I’m sorry
haha! That's called real life!!
