Man, i'm really starting to worry about Witcher 4 because they making their game with UE5 as well. I really don't like that engine due to killing the systems. I wonder that what kind of PC will we need for future versions of the UE5.
It will be a shit fest for at least 6 months after release. Just wait for it to be actually finished like... 1-2 years after release. It will get a big overhaul, which will make it the game it should have been from the start and it will run fine.
the problem with Ureal engine 5 is Developer Relying 100% on automated tools is just ridiculous, like some devs forgot how to make proper LODs and handcrafted lighting.
@@mr.nibblez2939I would call it a problem if even 4090 is struggling. Keep in mind that generally people have something like RTX3060, so you lose majority of your customers, if your game cannot run well on that.
If you think about it, this game is similar to crysis in some way. It was one of the first games in the new ue5, it is demanding, looks good and can be considered a benchmark.
it is also early access and never advertised itself as anything beyond that. and the game is also only 20% finished according to the devs, so optimization still has a lot of time to be in the oven.

I know some people have already asked this on the last few vids, but I was wondering if you could give a short comment about the recent findings concerning afterburner sensor readings (or Riva Tuner Statistics Server) influencing game performance. If you have already done so I missed it, sorry.
Once you explore the map a bit, the stutters go away. UE5 loads textures as you play, and after about 30 hours of exploring, the game is very smooth. For the best FPS, use TSR with Frame Gen and DLSS off and the game will be very clear. I maintain 130+ fps on a 5900x and a 4080 at 1440p with 3D resolution at 100%, with High settings and AA on Epic. Also roll back to Nvidia's previous 566.14 for a better experience.
on a 4070ti, epic settings, FG and dlss on quality, 32gb ddr4 ram playing in 2k n ui get at least 90fps consistently, no crashing. 4k gaming esp on a game like this on UE5 no matter what card you have its gonna be rough. i have a 4k monitor but only use 4k for non intnsive gaming, and im happy with that. i know some people wont be but i think ive found a great balance between performance and graphics.
@shariarshuvo By disabling all non 3D cores, you can force games to run only on the 3D V-Cache cores, getting maximum benefit from the larger L3 cache which is best for gaming.
I think you will be blown away at the graphics of The Last of Us Part 2 when it releases if you're playing it on PC. i love that games graphics so good.
Not sure what I am doing differently then everyone else but my i7 9700k and RTX 2070 have no issues with consistent 120+ FPS all over the map and while in combat moving around and shooting. Only stuttering or lagging i get is from the server and the game shows you in the top right of the screen what problem is happening. I'm on 1080p and run a mixture of graphics settings.
I did just order an rtx 4070 super though and my 2070 will replace my sons gtx 1080FE, he also has an i7 9700k and even on his computer the game runs just fine but he runs slightly lower graphics settings than I do for the moment. I have a z390 elite and he's got a z390-E Gaming MB. I have 32gb of ram he has 16gb of ram. Both systems running windows 10 pro with 1.5TB of Samsung SSD.
The FidelityFX Frame Gen problem went away for me after turning v-sync ingame on. Feels butter smooth with it now on my 3080TI on High Settings with DLSS on Balanced
ue5 is ok mate ik cause i use it to do project etc, its how the devs have it sometimes they can have assets set to high quality like the Trees and Grass idk if the have lumen in this game but these 3 things are the most intensive things in ue5 Trees, Grass & lumen
Yes but I think the game is not ''badly optimized'', it has just good graphics. Of course it will not run like Minecraft. I play the game on the lowest graphics settings possible, I actually even have lower graphics card than the minimum specs, and I still get a nice stable framerate and enjoy the game like nothing else.

@UpUpandaway132 no, but it does have multiplayer PVE mode, so you will see other players, but no PVP. If you are interested more in story, wait to May 2025. There will be huge update focusing mainly on lore and story.
To be honest, UE5 just seems like a broken game Engine that they just keep adding features on top of, and unfortunately its being adopted as the main Engine of the gaming industry.

I completely stopped caring for games with high fidelity graphics in the recent years. It's just not worth it. I love to watch these videos though. I decided to build a PC that can run games up to Elden Ring and Red Dead 2 level at 4K with at least 60fps and i think i just won't go past that in the coming years besides indie games. The games and graphics are just not worth investing absurd amounts of money on hardware. Most are recycled shit and don't even look amazing. There are enough games from before UE5 bullshit times, that i won't need anything else for years. I'm looking forward to the cheaper prices for games and hardware and to the overall better quality of the games in general.

Why are gamers putting up with UE5's issues? Even the best current GPU and second best CPU won't fix the stuttering. Even the snobbiest of 4090 owners are less worried about putting others down with lesser GPU's but more so on maintaining their 120 FPS requirement at max settings in 4K resolution. I'm sticking to UE4 games until they fix the downgraded (more recent) joke of an engine.
They really tryna scam with ue5. The games that use the engine dont even look that good and a 4090 cant run it on 4k max without using dlss or frame gen. It doesnt help that ue5 games tend to stutter as well. Imagine dropping 2,000$ for better pc components to play unfinished games. The devs do this to trick people into buying top of the line cards not only to assist the hardware devs revenue, but to cover up for their laziness.
Damn this game looks so so amazing at max settings, and I would play just with dlss on 4k, 90/100 ish fps are enough in my opinion.. I mean seems low but just watch at at whole map rendering and you can almost go anywhere

To be fair, Nanite was supposed to eliminate the need for crafting custom LODs. That was its entire purpose.

Ya man I’m not having any issues either. Frame gen OFF settings medium 1440p I limit the fps through nvidia control panel at 65fps. 2080ti 5600x

It’s not difficult to run at all imo. I have a 3080 and I run 100-150 fps on medium settings. No issues other than character skin rendering at times.
