You’re lucky you went to game 3, that was one hell of a game!😮💨Also I’ve had the carbon intake for almost a year now, I love it and have no issues. What I did to make the intake box like the f sport one was I cut a hole and it makes the whining noise a lot louder now. I have had 0 issues. It sounds super nice. Just a recommendation if you want something to do🤌🏽
I've seen a picture online of the non F Sport box next to the F Sport box and they're identical other than that hole. I've considered doing it to my box a few times but was always concerned about water making it's way in there somehow. Pleased to hear you haven't had any issues, do you live in a wet climate aswell or no?
Did you get a check engine light? Putting a filter on the valve cover breather will get a lean code. That's the fresh air inlet for the pcv system. It needs to be a sealed system. The MAF is not metering the extra air. It will be like a vaccum leak. As for the carbon trap you removed from the air box top. It is not a restriction on the intake system.
Bro I got a 2023 Lexus is 300 awd did a tune and installed the intake but gave me engine check and secondary something and imma put the oem throotle body on anybody help me out please
Appreciate you fam! Yup I can hear a bit of an increase in sound, but at times my exhaust can get too loud to hear it... will keep you guys updated tho!
Put it on my GS350 FSport and got check engine lights for lean both cylinder banks. It didn’t hurt anything, but the cruise control doesn’t work with the CEL on so mine is back to stock until I get tuned and add headers/mid pipe…
You should remove the entire charcoal filter in one piece including the plastic surround. See the video I posted about this. The pipe looks amazing though!
Another option I’m considering in my particular case is to drill a hole in the side of the carbon tube and put in a nipple for the factory hose from the PCV. If I go that route I’ll also install an oil catch can in between the valve cover and the induction tube. I was already considering going with headers/midpipe/custom tuning on the dyno at RR Racing anyway though, so I might wait. It’s not like there’s much of a power difference in the inlet tube anyway ;)

@@joshc9846 I live in California near the Bay Area and it doesn’t rain a lot but the box has driven through rain plenty of times and still no issues
Glad to have you back brother. 🙏🏾
You should put a hole in the air box like from the f sport one. Also take the grooves off in the box too.
You can get a clamp at auto zone, it may be loose bc you have to connect it all the way on the throttle body and intake box

Nice video, I personally fitted the K&N typhoon and the induction noise is increadable.
Thanks for sharing this video and the intake improvement.
What is better the rr racing or fsport pretty much the same price ?
You notice any increased sound in the induction noise?
P.S hope you're doing well bro. Nice to see you back holding a camera doin your thing.

I used the stock clamp on my old intake on it make sure you run the tune because the car will run lean with out it!
I'm planning on buying the intake a couple of months before the tune am I good to run the intake without it?
@@maxlovell9091 you can but I would not recomend it

I would replace that intake filter with a K&N drop in filter. Aloha from Hawaii!
Where'd you get that sticker? I have a similar oil cap I'd like to put a sticker on
I love your channel bro, just got me a 09 is and your videos helping a brotha out! Binge watching all your videos

did you get a check engline light on for this? RR racing says it may happen. I'm considering getting it but I have a 350
I got one on mine so I put it back to stock to wait on a tune…
@@skipgumphrey9579 damn no way, thats waste then i might just go for the metal pipe from the f sport box then tbh

any mini power gains ?
good video👍
You planning on getting the RR tune?
Honestly haven't decided yet. Either the RR or another tune maybe
Get a F&f air filter and cut a hole in the box
