Fixed the Leak in the S2K! | Clutch Slave Cylinder Install
Just bought my son an IS. Your videos have been helpful. Will be doing all this next month including the valve cover gasket.
I literally just got mine in the mail, looked at it, and went, "What?". I'm glad you also need a logical explanation for how things are supposed to work. Great video, very helpful.
Awesome seeing a video on this for our cars! I’ve got an isf so the fender portions aren’t available but I bought the kit for the front bumper tabs. I hope it works outs for me!
More Lexus videos !!!
This is such a great way to keep the bumper clean without drilling and adding bumper clips. However, this is wayyy too time consuming. I’m a one and done guy, so I prefer to get it done with a bumper clips. It’s subtle yet adds on a clean look
Yeah I have quick latches because I love to work on my car a lot knowing I will be taking off my bumpers almost once every month haha.
Dope! Gonna need this for my IS
Lexus IS community is the best community change my mind
What happen to the sound stupid
What wheel is this
What are your coilovers height measurements?
Very good work. My 2008 Lexus was shifting kind of rough a couple years ago, and I did the exact same thing of drain and fill. Much smoother now. Now when it comes to the intervals of changing? I was recommended every 50,000 miles so I will stick to that number.
Do you have any recommendations for a shop in the bay area to do this? I’ve been wanting to do this to my 09 250 but am afraid of messing something up and don’t have the space/tools to do so.
Flex Function Auto & Offroad (shop in Campbell) has done it on an ISF that I know
If you want make some extra money let me know I wouldn't mind haven't a tune for my is350... I race my is350 a lot more than my gtr.
Race a IS350 over a GTR?! How different are the two?
@@ChristianMastrile the is350 feel a lot lighter and seem quicker response torque lower end. The gtr feel a lot heavier lower end but once mid to high it's gone.
@@ChristianMastrile not a lot of people want to race the gtr but on the other hand the is350 got more races
@@ChristianMastrile raced my little cousin 280z with 2jz swap big turbo last week on the freeway 3x, I barely took him on the first 2 run and on the 3rd he barely got me by a fender on the gtr
Is that tune stage still smog legal in California? It's so hard to find a legitimate tune for a is250/350 so I just kind of gave up.
Asked a few Lexus homies and they said it's not smog legal in California. Had to remove the tune before getting it smogged a month ago lol
@@ChristianMastrile oh ok I'm see if my smog tech buddy will willing to let me slide cause I live in northern California and we only doing plug in ECU smog not the Dyno type like southern California
See, they say dont mess with the transmission fluid on sealed transmissions because there is always a possibility it will start slipping, but I guess it's a gamble. I did that on my old IS250 because I wanted to sell it when I got a GS. I changed it twice (car was lowered and ran over something that damaged the pan and caused a leak, so had to replace again). Both times, the car ran great afterwards. IF you plan on doing this, I would get it only if you need to, because of the risks. But I trust Lexus/Toyota reliability so I took that risk, and both times car ran great.
The sealed trans was def something I didn't want to touch cos of the potential risks involved. Drain and fill looked simple enough to do myself so I took the risk and was willing to accept the consequences, if any, afterwards
If you haven't changed your fluid in a long time, I would have took it to a trans shop for a full flush and filter change. There are all least a few quarts of fluid in the torque converter alone, not including all the trans lines and valve body, that doesn't come out when draining by the plug. According to what I read in the past, the is250 trans holds a little over 7 quarts of fluid. You only removed and replaced 2 quarts.
Full flush will kill your transmission and it’s a lot to explain but every 2is owner knows about this and it’s in the lexus forum explaining why. This is why we recommend drain and fill and of course you don’t have to do it once you can do it as much as you want to get much cleaner fluids.
I've read about a full flush too and it wasn't recommended by a lot of the forums and FB posts. Like what @RonDaG0at said, a drain and fill was recommended and I was willing to do the D&F first then see how it turns out afterwards. So far so good, I'll post an update video after I've put some miles on the car
Wait how are you jacking up the car from the side in the middle!?
Also that 1-2 gear hesitation could be the solenoids. i saw a post on facebook about that. Mine does this weird thing where if im in 1st gear going 5 mph the rpms will shoot up and then it'll shift to 2nd gear. it happens when im turning or when im cruising through a parking lot looking for a space. I usually just speed through turns or come to a full stop when i feel it about to happen
Damn man, how many miles does yours have if you don’t mind me asking?
Those solenoids were what I feared what was happening to mine. It hasn't done it since replacing the fluid (knock on wood). I'll record an update video when I've put a good amount of miles on it
Same thing happens to mine. I was curious on what that’s about
@@codenamemist2560 Mine has 135k but it’s been doing it since I got it at 117k. I’m gonna change mine this sometime next week so I’ll let you know if it stops
@@user-fq1dj4ny2z The solenoids use your speed and gear position to decide when to shift so when your car is hovering around late 1st gear it’s kinda confusing idk? But yea fixing your solenoids or swapping some new fluid in might fix it. I’ll try and let you guys know
i feel you bro. I bought the fluid last year august and still havent done the drain and fill
what do you do for work, im tryna afford all these stuff for my is250 but working in retail pays so little lmao
LOL I remember those retail checks being the worse... I'm a project coordinator in construction
@@ChristianMastrile lmao tell me about it, but thats sick bro, keep it up hope to get to your level one day lol
THE SPIDER!!!!
I have 125k miles on my 07 IS350 and haven't touched the transmission yet LOL
Same im terrified lol
@@ABCWISE Depending on the mileage and the car's history (how many owners), some mechanics and even the dealership will tell you to NOT mess with the trans oil if it wasn't changed properly from the beginning. I'm at 109k, I'm the second owner and I bought from a used car place, but my closest Lexus dealership sold the car to the orig owner and has the records.....up until the warranty. My car was purchased from an auction by the used car dealership that I bought from. As a reminder to all, you can put your VIN number in at the Lexus website and it will tell you what has been done if it was a Lexus authorized mechanic. I'm guessing since you guys are adding mods, then you don't really care. 😎
@@ABCWISEyou should be fine as long you’re only doing drain and full not full flush! I recommend doing it asap or your transmission will go out and a new transmission is around $2000
i did multiple drain and fill on my 2007 GS with 140K miles. and then did the filter and complete flush. the car shifts better than my 2016 GS lol. its like butter now. dont take the risk on the filter change, but definitely do the drain and fill at least 3 times every 1k miles or so. you will not regret.
LETS GO🔥🔥🤞
im thinking about getting the current gen is350 in a couple of years. I heard they are "slow" with limited performace modifications options to give them a boost in horsepower so my question is if you had that car, what would you do it in terms of performance upgrades?
If there was a solid, reliable tune out there , that and an intake would be the only performance upgrades I'd go for. Aesthetically, they're beautiful so simple mods would be the route i'd go with
@@ChristianMastrile thanks and what would you recommend I do it I wanted to maximize horsepower?
Hey mate, you ever thought about installing a vibrant resonator instead of the straight pipe. I remember in your early videos you said your exhaust was a bit too loud, the vibrant would decrease the volume while increasing the growl of the v6.
Trash coilovers doe 🤷🏿♂️
Recently discovered your channel and almost subscribed until I heard your misogynist comment at 8:20. I will not be watching your videos anymore.
dang it says on the amazon listing in the pictures that it wont fit my model for some reason

Hey man still loving the content. Finally got a is350!! Center console is broke. Think you could do a video on how to remove it? Even a yt short. Would be a great help can't find anything!
Can you drop the link or exact name for rotors it’s so many power stop rotors
Hey bro what rim size did you put your Lexus. I've got IS250 2008 and I'm confusing what size should I need to put
18x8.5 +40 in front and 18x9.5 +38 in rear
Bro, I don't think it's available on the modifry website anymore :(
Unfortunately modifry is gong out of business :( I think he's trying to find someone to continue operations but not sure of the status on that
Will this mess with the cruise control radar or not
Looks gay as fuck too
Looks like shit shit lol
The AC is driving me nuts.... Can't get it to work at all... Driving me crazy
Yall please remove the negative from car battery!!!!! First!!!!!
my 06 iS250 has touch screen AC controls so idk if i need to find a deck that supports it
I'm thinking I have an outdated version cos there's no app on mine to control any AC controls
@@ChristianMastrile the one i ordered had the AC controls but i returned it for now
@marleensrain what size did you get? how many inches i have the exact same car and don’t know what size to get!
Wait so there no defrost for the front windshield
No button for front or rear. Supposedly there's an app you can download on the unit to control it but haven't had any luck getting it
Does anybody know how I can modernize my sticky dash and door panels?
I just got a black IS350 f sport and I’ve been wanting to paint my calibers red too. I need to find someone to help me. Where are you located ?
hey i have a question the radio you put it in I have a 2011 but the ac controls are on top so what did you do for that?
Is the 17 held on with a nut ?
I took off my bushing & now the 17 won’t go back up seems to be to big
I have a 07 awd is250
Damn that sounds good and only straight pipe! Gonna do it on my 350f-sport
those LED reflectors look so goofy why would anyone want them
I've had my non-ML '06 a lil over a year. Don't drive it much (5k last year) since I drive for work but wanted bulletproof reliability and AWD for Maine winters. Looked for over a year to find an affordable one with 100k (or less) miles that wasn't completely trashed, and tho it def is a work in progress, the V6 is a disappointment, sound AND power-wise... Sooo, I've spent around $3k on my strictly-stock-looking, sleeper stereo so far. Your beast sounds SICK, btw! I'm just gonna roll up my windows and crank it to 11😆
I’ll just do a reflector delete.
IMO any wheels whose spokes bend back toward the car are ugly. Curved spokes should bend away from the car, like rohanna rfx11's. That way they add toward the appearance of depth in the wheel. No matter how low a wheel's offset is, it looks convex when the spokes bend inward at the ends, defeating the visual appeal of deep wheels. I know, something something big brakes something something. Look, if Rohanna can make it work with big brakes, other companies can too.
Where can i get the spoiler for the color nebula gray
