Yorkville subs are loud but they have a lot of vibration coming from the sub, there good for sweet 16 party's and young birth day party's were clean sound don't matter. E.V ETX 18" SUBS are vibration free and would light that spot up with clean Bass GROWN PEOPLE STYLE!!!!!
Sound like a loose grill or Amp.. Tighten it up and you're good.. Also against the wall is the best place, but then again the ceiling will rain down more dust onto you and your equipment..lol
Came across your video randomly sounds like your sub needs some tightening down on some screws like grill or sub screws came loose. Check those first then play it again if it’s buzzing again then replace sub
During the Pandemic they put out a Batch of K12.2 that were defective i got stuck with 2 but after a while they got the parts and changed the amp module now they have the chips so they are OK... you use the tops Full range or crossed over?
i dont care what sub anyone has, u cant beat an 801! i will tell u, i have 4 801's but i use k12.2 and the 12.2 blows away the k12. i had the k12, but the 12.2 destroys the k12. if u want an upgrade get the 12.2 you will not regret it, its like knowing what you 801 can do. i did have an issue where theinternal fan stopped working and that made the 12.2 amp turn off 1 time per gig, 3 gigs. the fan was $6 from QSC and i repaired it in 20 min. ive been slamming the 12.2's for about 4 years many many gigs never an issue - go for them.
The 12.2’s don’t hardly “kill” the originals fam lol. I have been renting out both models through the years and just the fact some have had to get repairs, replacements etc of the 12.2’s (which has never happened with the originals we send out) proves that they are more reliable workhorses. Neither model is trash necessarily but one model has already proven itself and one is still a crapshoot in some instances. Just a perspective of real world examples of multiple events and applications monthly, weekly, daily, and yearly. We constantly scoop up more legacy models that were being sold for deep discounts from folks whose only reason was to get the “new” model and they were absolutely fine. Some of these same folks were having issues and wanted to know if we wanted to sell legacies back to them and even had a few that would rent the speakers they sold us 😂. Get what you want but absolutely don’t hesitate if you find a legacy k12 because they are still tried and tested reliable beasts!
@@anewk9868I have the k.2 which was an Upgrade back in 2017 from my 10 passive EV and 2 American Audio.. My k.2 have never been update or repaired, Mostly because I baby them including my old cheap American Audio.. You gotta keep an eye on them unlike the original K12.. Both are still good quality

Nice I heard so many horror stories with the k12.2. But I’m glad you got them fixed. To answer your question I run them full range 👍🏽
Qsc K2 is trash. The originals are way better. 2 of those Yorkvilless will do a crowd of 400 or better.
I use to own Qsc k18 subs one yorkville elite 18 sub was louder than both Qsc is a joke
