This is probably one of the top choices for an entry level 15” speaker for DJs! Super underrated

I have a set of Yorkville EXM 8 speakers and just bought a set of Yorkville YXL 15 P Speakers and a small 6 channel mixer ..........i plug my equipment into the mixer ...then run 2 lines to the inputs on my EXM 8 Speakers on both right and left .... then out of the EXM 8s I run 2 lines to the inputs on my YXL 15Ps on both left and right sides.......set up like this i have full control over the highs and the thundering bass on the on my YXL 15Ps by ajusting the tone and volume on my EXM 8s as well as adjusting tone and volume on my mixer .....WOW WHAT AN AWESOME SOUND ... you sure don't need subs with this set up ... What awesome power I have ....I just did an outside concert with OVER 300 people this afternoon and the music was loud and clear you could feel the bass right in the floor on the outside huge wooden dance floor..........I have been doing music shows for years ....but this is the best sounding medium power set up I ever used in my life...........

Yesss.. I've been waiting for this. How do you like it/compare it to the EV or Yamaha? This and 1 18" YXL18SP good enough for a dance/wedding?
Hey bro its tough to compare it to the EV and or Yamaha but these can definitely hang. Keep in mind they are the budget line. One of these and the YXL18SPs for a wedding? I don't see why not? If its a small wedding under 75 people i think you can get away with it. I always recommend having a pair of tops though so the sound spreads out evenly. Having 2 of these without a sub is already good for most crowds under 150.

How would they be with the yxl 15 subs I wonder
how do we enhance the bass or treble sound since this speaker does not have those (knobs) controls ?
Use your controller or add a mixer use a dbx drive rack
Actually as i mention in the video there are the three modes on the back of the speaker that you can change. Theres concert, club, & monitor mode. The club mode is for music playback and adds extra bass. While the concert mode is more for 'live music' for singers, piano players, guitar..etc and adds more mids & highs. And the monitor mode is made for monitoring

Well then yes you’ll have to do that over an external mixer if you want to dial in the actual eqs

I'm waiting for an order for two dzr12 from Yamaha but it's taking a very long time...
Am I better with two yxl15p or two dzr12 (without sub in both situation) for weddings up to 130 people maximum as dj.

Honestly i've never heard the yamaha dzr12s yet personally BUT i can assure you that you are more than covered with the yxl15ps for 130 people!!!!
I really like the speaker and its my go-to rental speaker but I wouldn't buy one. I did and it died within the year (crazy issue with the inputs cutting out the entire low end intermittently)
Did you buy it brand new? Or did you end up buying a used one that they used to rent out?

Ya it should. Kinda pushing it but just as long as the guests aren’t too far away from your setup

Honestly for karaoke you should be good with the yxl12p! But if you want to scare the neighbors get the 15ps 😂
