I always think of these as a 1.5. Not quite enough work for two, but a fair amount of work for one person. Doable, and cost effective, but a long day. Great to hear you talking about packing mics away first etc, the small details that matter and are often not mentioned. Where possible we ramp directly from the van onto the stage, but I can see here driving the trailer to the front of the stage and reversing in may not have been possible, or maybe not ok with the groundskeeper. Great stuff and thanks for the video.

I provided sound for 3 bands, 2 nights in a row last week. Your video made me feel like I was right back at work. Lol. I've been making sure my subs have their own dedicated power run, as even a single powered 18 sub can use around 15 amps (at 120v) at peak, by itself (I typically run 2 JBL PRX918XLF subs, and 2 SRX812p tops per side). Thanks for sharing! :)

Lights looked good, I was shocked, considering the board and small lights. Great video. If you have any lighting questions please feel free to ask.

I appreciate your comment, exactly the type of info I was hoping to see. For now, I may have found a solution that involves a DMX to Artnet converter that also connects via Wifi to a router. That combined with an old DMXKing node I had sitting around seem to be working out for now. I will definitely look into the WDMX though for the bigger gigs! Thanks for watching!

    • @inthemixls

The stage wedges are DbTechnologies FMX series. 10s, 12s, and a 15 at the drums. I do have bands that use IEMs. I have PSM300s racked up with a Behringer SD8, so I can run 3 stereo or 4 mono wireless channels (I have 4 body packs at this point).

Although i do wonder if there’s a head cam mount for your camera, that way whatever you’re seeing the camera is seeing instead of when you weren’t sure what the camera was seeing. But awesome job! I haven't timed it, but I feel it's more efficient to use the power/xlr combo cables for the wedges. Instead of having to coil, store, and layout a power cable and xlr feed, the combo cable is just one cable to pack up instead of two. I also feel it makes for a cleaner stage, and it keeps the outlets in the stringer open for the band to use. Thank you for watching and commenting!

My question to you is the title of your video says Meijer but I’m seeing you’re running JBL cabinets now. I haven’t watched the whole video but what part of it are you using Meyer oh wait so I added this comment after looking it looks like you’re running the monitors are the brand that I was talking about personally I have never heard that brand but I do know it’s a good brand and second as I’m watching your video say you’re running the mono on the house have you ever thought about running Stereo especially for outside? It actually sounds better in the long run of my opinion than mono, but that’s just my personal opinion now in an arena or someplace like that maybe it’d be different but anyway besides that actually this weekend I’m going to be putting up a large sound system in a local church probably I would say the speakers alone or half 1 million maybe more as we’re dealing with probably 12 subs and six liner raisesand then we got a German board made by SL that’s real nice from Germany
