Thank you SO much to the subscribers and supporters who were out there cheering me on and capturing footage - couldn’t have created this video without you and you gave me superpowers out there! ❤
Favourite bit: mid running the 9th fastest marathon by a British woman, very specifically we see you throw your bottle to a fan shouting 'love the grind'. Amazing. So inspiring and a wonderful video.
A joy filled 30 minutes. I'll be watching it again later. Well done to you and all in your village. I am guessing you crossed the line looking forward to the next marathon!
Waiting for the video to come out, I assumed the release date was mostly "ramping up the anticipation" based, but as a former video editor was also wondering how much the editing time factored in, since I expected this one to be a gem, which it was! At one point, I was totally marveling at how well put together it was.... a video shot and edited by a tiny production team rivaling or bettering anything broadcast by the big networks... hats off! Love the (running and editing 😜) grind!!
I had a friend running so I was tracking him. After he finished, it suddenly occurred to me that, after watching your lovely videos that you were going for a PB in Berlin so I looked you up and I was weirdly delighted for you - a total stranger - that you’d achieved a massive PB and then I was desperate to see this video and kept searching for it and got more and more excited to see it. the strange power of UA-cam! Massive congratulations to you. I’m a slow plodder but you inspire me to be a better runner. Thank you!
Actually, watched this with, I'll admit, a few tears streaming down my face to see you overcome so much adversity to run the race of your dreams. Thank you so much for sharing so much of your life with strangers and for showing what can be achieved with courage and a desire to never quit, even when the going makes you question why you are pursuing something that sometimes leaves you a bit battered. Brilliantly edited video that took us there. Love the grind, Phily. You are a remarkable person and athlete.
24:12 - "I just love running!", hell yeah, I reeeeally felt that. And I also love watching people absolutely DELIVER in a race. You're a legend, Phily. And this film was so great to watch!
It's seems like since you left being a NB pro athlete... You have set PBs in most of the distances you have raced. Congrats on all your successes so far and may it continues. Most of all, you are doing with a smile along with the warts and all. #keepitreal #lovethegrind.
Also, I know this is phily's channel, hopefully Daniel comes out with his pov of the event. The b-roll and footage of this race would have been epic to get.
Dan, brilliant job, Daniel, fantastic videography. Phily, superb, your ability at this rarified level is shown by you running surrounded by blokes and not another woman in sight. I know there were others ahead, but not many…. Out-bloody-standing…. Your recent life decisions have been vindicated. You’re as good at those as at the running. World class.
not all the crowdsourced clips with people cheering for you 🥲 you’re so much fun and such an inspiration phily! thanks to you and daniel for letting us come along for the ride.
Hey Phily! A fan from Bangalore, India. Truly brought tears to my eyes. So much of our lives are filled with “perceived” failures (when they really aren’t) but these moments of success are really actually reflective of a continued series of events that result in a final medal of sorts (very much like a marathon). Your honest and genuine reflection of self, your motto (love the grind), your partnership with Daniel (shout to Daniel) and the love for running you inspire means a lot to this random beginner runner on the other side of the globe. Lots of love to you both and cheering you on for future success.
Y’all didn’t have to go off in the race AND on the vlog, this is a cool watch. I found myself bragging to my step mom about how well you did yesterday and I don’t even know you. Thanks for bringing us in to feel like part of the crew
Phily - yesterday I improved my PR by 30 minutes in a marathon and qualified for Boston. I thought of you during the race crushing Berlin and it helped propel me forward when I was doubting myself. You are freaking amazing !
Daniel's videos are always superb, but this one is so over the top on BLAST. So well done. And so happy for Philly with her fantastic performance. Well deserved, as she has put in the work.
Sat down with my coffee this morning to watch this, first time i’ve ever put a UA-cam video release date in my calendar 😂 Adore you super talented power duo. Well done Phily, you’re unstoppable. X
This video is a masterpiece. You can feel the shift, especially from your last marathon video, to see the absolute joy you felt going into it and afterwards too. Even knowing the result, I was sat here watching (on the big tv mind you!) With the biggest grin on my face and I even teared up a bit. It's a pleasure to watch your journey Phily... keep smashing life 🎉
Huge congratulations! Not only for bettering yourself but for becoming 9th on the all time UK Marathon list! That's amazing! Top 10 UK female of all time is something to brag about!
It's so great to watch a win after seeing you unhappy with quite a few races. Really important to show there is more to life than upwards progress, and all the stagnation and frustration is a part of the process. Loved this video. Amazing job to both you and Daniel!
After I saw the finish results I couldn’t wait for this video. You’ve earned this through and through. Still my favorite UA-camr and such an inspiration to my running journey.
Such an emotional journey and inspiring video. Even more so for me as I ran a 2:29 marathon in 1993 and then targeted 2:25 - but real life intervened and I never made it. So watching your triumphant 2:25 finish-line celebration really hit home. Congratulations!
What a beautiful example of never giving up and giving it your all. I felt like you represented so many people in the way you ran. You showed us all how to go after it, whatever that is for each person.
Been waiting for this video all week! Did not disappoint and made me cry. I ran my race yesterday for a PB while my husband paced me. It really is a team effort, which makes it all the more special and fun!
Dan Nash, pacing a 2.25 and making it look easy. What a legend. Great run Philly; nothing feels better than a race going to plan. So good you can skip at the end. 9th fastest all time. Impressive!
OMG!!!!!!!! Phily that was off the charts awesome. For those of us who have been loving the grind for a few years now, it was so wonderful to see. You did the work and now have reaped the reward. I look forward to seeing you continue to improve and appreciate you taking us along for the ride. Top 10 UK ever, LETS GOOOO!!!!!!
Yesssssss been waiting for this video for the whole week! Just want to echo everyone else congrats to you Phily. Such a special performance, to smash you PB, finish 15th, place yourself in the GB history books. But perhaps above all, inspiring thousands of people like me to push to be the best version of themselves every day :). Credit also of course to Daniel, your coach, the rest of your supporters, and of course the team at ON for believing in you as much as we all do! Anyway, ham and cheese baguette at the ready - time to sit back and enjoy the video!
All time number 9 in the uk that’s such a cool thing to be able to say. What a legend❤. Love that her process goal was to be excited to run another marathon! That’s the kind of goals I need to have! Great run Philly, what an inspiration you are to us all!🤩
i’m running my first marathon this weekend, and i’ve been nervous all week, but this video reminded me how much i love racing and just running in general, and now i can’t wait to get out there and love the grind
Incredible achievement, a pleasure to watch. And Daniel's editing improves at the same rate as your running I swear! This was a professional-level mini-doc
Yes Phily, you absolute legend!!! Been saving this video to give it the time it deserved after following you on the day! As many people have said here, it was such a weird sense of pride seeing you get such a PB, congratulations!!! Thanks for inspiring us all so much with your honesty and determination. Thanks Daniel too, what an incredible video, lovedl the editing. Here’s to even bigger things for the channel and both you awesome guys!! 🏃♀️💨🥳
I picked up running last year in september, after around 10 years, again. You're one of the biggest inspirations for me and probably a lot of other runners. Congratulations for your big PB, hope to see more of you in the future so that I know there is always room for improvement. Love the Grind!
you're a joy to follow! happy this day worked out so well for you. big shout out to Daniel, I watch a lot, I mean a lot of running videos, but this is in a class of its own
you guys have me crying, congrats Philly, to see you work so hard and come out on top just makes me so proud, even though we've never met. Beautiful work, gorgeous running, fantastic video.
Sat at work on a Monday morning watching this before the week kicks in. Eye's prickling away with tears brewing, just like they did with the Copenhagen edit. What a run. What an edit. Phily, Daniel and Dan. What a team. Thanks for keeping us runners inspired to keep tappin' it out week in week out. Fantastic stuff. Congratulations.
OMG Philly, your channel is the best and most engaging one the algorithm has ever led me to! You are such a badass! You have the delightful combination of massive knowledge and experience, and of optimism and friendliness. You are one of the best ambassadors for our sport! I am a proud 2:08 halfmarathon runner, and yet you make me see myself belonging to the same group of people like you - you make me proud to shuffle along in this sport, at half the speed but all the joy. Thanks for making my afternoon a bit brighter!
watching you crush it and hearing everyone cheering for you, I can’t even imagine how you felt, I want to cry watching this video 😭😭 you’re amazing!!!! xxx
This is wonderful story telling! It is masterfully put together to show not only your journey to a P.B. but also your mental conquest to achieve it! Congratulations!
Genuinely I watched the video you released during the race as soon as it uploaded and then kept checking for updates like every half hour. When I heard your time I can’t lie there were tears. To think of all that adversity you overcame and the years of marathon training and hard work is just amazing. To see someone persevere like that only for it to pay off is so inspiring. Absolute best of luck for your future, but whatever happens you’ll always have this victory!! 🫶 Edit: also just want to say that even though I knew your result I felt so nervous and on the edge of my seat watching this. So amazing job Daniel putting this all together
I was crying watching this. I know we are just strangers really but last sunday I woke up and immidiately thought of the race. I followed you along online and got so excited for you. Well done!!
Your video made me cry!!! I share the excitement of your achievement as an athlete and as a person! proud of your persistence, you are an example to follow... I want to see more PRs. a big hug from Colombia.
CONGRATS ON YOUR PB!!!!! You're such an inspiration. Just got my 5k PB today and watching your videos has been an integral part of my running journey. Hope to run my marathon soon!!!
Way to go team grind, what a fantastic PB!!! Stalked the time on the day so couldn’t wait to see the vlog, which was amazing. I particularly loved the reflection back to the not so positive parts of the block, a true reflection of most people’s marathon journeys, reinforcing the trust in the process mantra 😀
watching this is actually emotional lol!! only found your videos recently but hearing all the "go on phily"'s is tearing me up!! well done on this huge achievement xx
I am a casual watcher of your videos. I ran at Arkansas and am still competing as a US 800&1500 runner. Seeing your little compilation of all the doubts and hard times fixed together with you racing and the 2:25 finish time brought me to tears. Congrats! This is what it is all about, you FU**ING DID THAT!
You and Daniel make getting ready for a major marathon look so fun! Love the soundtrack and video cuts showing the mundane preparations. Also, congrats on a world-class P.B.!
Been subscribed and watching since the beginning, literally crying at this video of such a beautiful stranger absolutely smashing her goals. I can’t wait to see more!! Love the grind ⭐️
So happy for you Phily - you really deserve this HUGE WIN! So happy that Dan paced beautifully and so happy Daniel did such an incredible edit. Thank you both for being such inspirational friends!!
Made me cry!! So proud of you even if I don’t know you personally. I was tracking the finishers through the app on the day and was so happy to see when you came in 15th. Well done you. Very inspiring
Congrats to the pb! I live about 1 km away from the course. I was tracking you to see and cheer you up. Whilst having breakfast with my children i looked at my phone and saw you approaching. Only 2 km away from where i wanted to see you. I instantly put my shoes on, ran down the stairs and jumped on my bike. When i arrived you were already gone. So fast.
Wow what an amazing artwork on the video! Literal goosebumps, you had me in tears when you crossed that finish line. You are such an inspiration Phily!!
@@DanielMovesI watched it on my phone just now, going to watch it again on a bigger screen, so well done Daniel. "Moves" is not about running so much but more you know how to move us😊
great to see people cheering you on, it really can be surprising how the number of people that follow you on your journey can be at your events, keep up the good work
CONGRATS PHILY!!!!🎉 You did amazing and are such an inspiration to all of us!! I have my first half marathon next week and I’m going to channel all your positive energy! Love the grind!
I watched it on Sunday as I was warming up for my LR of 33km , I felt so happy and emotional for you ❤ It gave me a huge boost and my run felt great the fact that you are currently on holidays in KOS (my birthplace)and the fact that I might bump on to you while running gave me wings ❤Keep the good work your vibes are amazing and so are you 😁
The middle part is probably one of the greatest sports videos here on UA-cam. Seen you on the course at 6.5k but focused on cheering. Forgot the Video. But it’s amazing how many people recorded great videos. And how Daniel has put it together…amazing. And Dan…hero. And you Phily…legend! Great stuff. Enjoy the great result. Love the grind!
What a result. It is so inspiring for normal runners like me to see what you have done with all your immense effort, discipline and fun - good things can happen. 🎉
That was one of the most amazing videos I have ever watched. Thank you Phily and Daniel and everyone else for sharing such an emotional and uplifting story. I'm running the Chicago Marathon in 2 days' time with a slightly sprained ankle, but that has given me so much motivation. Well done, Phily - onwards and upwards!
complete and total admiration and respect for you what you do is powerful and inspiring im a 45 year old cyclist going through a nerve injury and your channel and you mobility work and strength work and info even when im not a runner is amazing, im happy about ON about you living hour pro life and seeing you happy on the camera, saludos desde Guatemala, Centroamérica en donde tienes un amigo, con cariño, Yeto Goicolea
Wow. This video was even better than I anticipated!!! I will watch it multiple times. I was deeply touched by all of the footage from spectators and hearing them cheering you on. I could not be happier for you and Daniel and what you've grown here. Thank you for letting us be a part of it. I started watching you from early on and while I was training for my first marathon and soon I'll begin training for my 4th. Thank you for showing the good and also the bad and the difficult.
Hey Phily and Daniel, I'm just a random follower from Georgia, US that's been enjoying the content y'all push out. I love your personality, your eagerness to face challenges, and your determination to continue doing what you love. I'm enjoying following your journey and I hope you stay fit to accomplish your biggest goals. Stay healthy and thank you for the entertainment and motivation you give to your supporters! Daniel, I appreciate the work you put in to support and document Phily's journey by making rad videos.
What an incredible achievement!!! 🎉🎉 Loved this race video and it really had me embrace my feels. Loved hearing all of the fans cheering for you and all of the different clips. The photos at the end knowing that you guys were looking far and wide for them was epic. Thank you for sharing this whole journey with us (and so quickly too!). LOVE THE GRIND!!! 🎉❤😊
Hey Philly, what I beautiful story and inspiration! I’ve been a non-elite athlete all my life and I fully understand and respect how hard is this that you’ve achieved. Underneath the tip of the “iceberg” is consistency, hard work, trade offs, failure, failure and failure and you overcome all of that by KEEP MOVING FORWARD. Soak that in, enjoy and keep that attitude 💪🏼 Thanks for sharing your ride with us in such a beautiful way - great job Daniel 😉
not me sitting here bawling my eyes out....that bit where Dan waves you on to go through the Brandenburg Gate...jeeeeeeezzzzzz. Beautifully put together video, exactly what this epic performance deserved! Got absolute chills watching this.
Well done Phily, delighted that things have come good. All the work done in the past, the good and the bad days, have taken you to where you are now. Enjoy your success, and use it to propel you forward.
I ran a PB too my first sub3 marathon! The 5k between 30k and 35k was the best no hills, and you feel so strong. You start believing you can do it. I even started crying. Watching your video gave me flashbacks, and I couldn’t hold back my tears. I’m so happy for you! 🎉 Shout out to Dan great job!
Yyyyooooo…. This one is definitely your best vlog to date. Love the story and also how meticulously put together it is. The cuts, the sound design and of course the curated feel. I’m here for it
Congrats to you Phily, what an amazing job. Daniel cheering you on makes my heart melt. His videography is outstanding and this was a superb one. Dan the pacer did an amazing job. Again congrats on the accomplishment
Thank you SO much to the subscribers and supporters who were out there cheering me on and capturing footage - couldn’t have created this video without you and you gave me superpowers out there! ❤
@@PhilyBowden it was pure joy to watch you running! But you were to fast to make that special moment last a little longer 🥲😂🔥
@@graemetough9988 Second time I've watched it. So great.
What an amazing touching video 🥰
Many congratulations on your PB very well deserved x
Pacemaker Dan is a legend
He was incredible!
The pacing on the video, Daniel ... the b-roll, quiet-to-noisy, quick-to-slow and back again. Beautifully done, sir. Chapeau.
Agreed! Nice job Daniel!
I was thinking the same - this was incredible editing Daniel!
💯
Pacer Dan needs to become a recurring character on the show
GB top 9 ever, now that's a PB.....amazing what happens with a good team around you and a smile on your face! Congrats🎉
and I’ve got a good feeling there’s more to come 😎🫶🏼
Also, youngest woman in the top 10 I believe??
Phily Bowden. You've forgotten to thank one person.... Yourself..... give yourself a big hug..❤️❤️

Same here!!
right?! If only everyone had a Daniel!
Oh good, I thought it was just me! That “come on philyyyyyyy” hits hard
It's also amazing to see how much support she got in Berlin.
Got to love runners and what a modest bunch they are-Dan, the pacemaker, is a perfect example… so low key about running 2:15 and x6 sub 2:20! 🙏🧘♂️
yes!
The night before Daniel said "youre Gonna win twice tomorrow". He was more than right! 😂❤
dammit now he’s gonna think he’s always right!

Edit: also just want to say that even though I knew your result I felt so nervous and on the edge of my seat watching this.
My favourite video so far and I have seen them all. Brilliantly done. Both that and the run. Congratulations superstar! 🏅

Made me cry!! So proud of you even if I don’t know you personally. I was tracking the finishers through the app on the day and was so happy to see when you came in 15th. Well done you. Very inspiring
Massive congratulations, Never doubted you, Love yourself and love the grind.

The middle part is probably one of the greatest sports videos here on UA-cam.
Seen you on the course at 6.5k but focused on cheering. Forgot the Video.
But it’s amazing how many people recorded great videos. And how Daniel has put it together…amazing.
And Dan…hero.

Soak that in, enjoy and keep that attitude 💪🏼
Thanks for sharing your ride with us in such a beautiful way - great job Daniel 😉
not me sitting here bawling my eyes out....that bit where Dan waves you on to go through the Brandenburg Gate...jeeeeeeezzzzzz.
Shout out to Dan great job!
