The way Daniel cheers you on, almost always makes me emotional. So much love, and belief behind “GO PHILY” and “lovely stuff Phily”. beautiful race Phily, truly. You carried yourself so much differently on this track, and it was wonderful to see.
That smile says everything about the change in mental state. That's self-belief. Bottle that. Put it with the water bottles. And take it everywhere. Big shout out to Daniel as well. Love the grind, Phily!
“It’s not about the time. It’s about the racing craft. That was fun.” Here’s another shout out for running by power vs. pace. You can make a complete shift to the racing craft when you essentially can’t focus on pace any longer.
I watched the full race video earlier this week when I saw it in my feed and despite knowing you'd won it, I was still on the edge of my seat at the gap you had to cover with one lap to go. I kept thinking, 'How on earth did she do this!?'. Absolutely mad strong kick. So much power. There's absolutely something to be said for getting in there and having fun.
Ok I have held back from commenting on the outfit (on insta) because I did not want a comment about appearance to take away from your accomplishments BUT I must say the outfit was FIRE, you literally looked so amazing, the vibe was top notch and I ran down to the comment section to say this as soon as you mention the "runsie"
What a race!! That overtake on the bend was everything! Like others have said already, you looked so strong and really focused. Keep doing this Phily! You’re flying 🎉🎉
Hey Phily! It's great to hear you talk about a more sustainable growth mindset. I have also struggled with this recently. I guess it's always important to remember that we perform best when we're having fun!
Phily!!! Amazing!!!! Your channel has been inspiring me so much since I got back into running last summer (at 28 years old, after a long chronic illness). I found out the hard way that some posture issues I acquired while I was sick were enough to cause running injuries and I've spent the last three months on rest before FINALLY finding a type of physical therapy that fixed my issues (postural restoration therapy, for anyone curious). Now I'm back out there and absolutely LOVING the grind. The absence of running in my life was driving me insane and I'm so grateful every day that I can go out and run again now. I hear your voice in my head when I'm out there, loving that grind 😊 thanks for being you and sharing your struggles and triumphs with all of us! You are such an inspiration!
Congrats Phily!!!! What a race! You have to be so in tune with yourself to be able to sit back and pace yourself so that you have that big move at the end! What a boss!!!
What a total bad ass in that runsie!! Showing shades of Joan Benoit with the hair and tenacity! Loved the rest stop ratings and the slow motion race footage by Daniel.
Been waiting for this video since I saw it on your socials. Yes Phil! Chuffed for you. Sometimes it's about going out there and just enjoying the race and the PBs and wins are a bonus! Seems like you did both in this one, so well done! :)
12sec PB is phenomenal! I love what you said about having to pass someone with conviction. I haven't raced in years and was only ever amateur (and slow compared to you). But in longer trail races once the field separated, I did always think if I was going to pass someone I had to do it convincingly and if possible make it look easy. I figured you had to demoralise them to the extent they wouldn't fight back, challenge or try to keep up. I learned this simply from having other people pass me sometimes. If they sauntered alongside, slowed, ran just ahead, I would keep in behind them. If someone came blazing past I'd think I had no shot to stay with them without blowing up and I'd let them go lol. Well done that must have hurt but managing that makes the winners I guess :-)
What a come back from the other track video I watch a week or so ago ❤ amazing work ❤ not so much in performance. Your performance is always amazing more so in your approach, calm, happy, content, focused and fun 🎉 you nailed it 😎
Brillllliant , well done Philly looks like a lot of pressure taken off you since you stopped being a pro for new balance .keep up the good work and great vids
Congratulations, that was a massive performance, and it shows how to run faster by just going out there with a smile on your face, and enjoying every minute of it.
Wonderful job, congratulations! I wish I could find track meets like that where I live. Both so I could watch as a spectator and also to participate in with people at my level [which is slower than 15-16 min 5k pace]
This video was such an inspiration. Being reminded to love what you’re doing in the moment and run for the fun of it is something I think we all need every once in a while. Congrats on this one, Phily! Keep grinding!!
Oh. Mah. GAWD! Did we just watch that?! That was incredible! And it looked like a walk in the park for you. Let's hear it for FUN! (And let's hear it for Maestro Daniel: He really does such a fantastic job with the footage. :)
😄you make such good vlogs!🙌 I’m not a runner at all, but still love seeing the lifestyle and all the beautiful scenery, and the way you engage with your boyfriend and the camera - you’re very funny😄
Watched this on the train from Reading, only found this Chanel recently. Things I wished I learnt in the years living in Reading, rather than by watching PBs videos: how good the routes round the flood planes were vs. kings meadow.
Waching the full race on YT after knowing the result it was hard to see how you won that from a way back with 2 laps to go buy you absolutely smashed it. Loved the smile as you hit the line!
Way you pulled the sweets out bag and said “sweets” is exactly how my internal monologue says it when I grab some out the shops along with a naughty giggle 😂 😂
And here I was thinking Daniel WAS the foam roller?!?!🥰 Wonderful to see you still have your post 1500 glow😂 And now 5k is EASY!! Ya see?! Speeeeeed is goooooood (if only because you're happy to be alive after....)😁
I'm really interested in seeing the shoes and equipment a runner of your caliber is using when you are picking it for yourself instead of a sponsor picking for you. Thanks for the content!
The way Daniel cheers you on, almost always makes me emotional. So much love, and belief behind “GO PHILY” and “lovely stuff Phily”.
beautiful race Phily, truly. You carried yourself so much differently on this track, and it was wonderful to see.
(Half) seriously, I think I could run PBs with Daniel cheering for me.
That smile says everything about the change in mental state. That's self-belief. Bottle that. Put it with the water bottles. And take it everywhere. Big shout out to Daniel as well. Love the grind, Phily!
If I do not find a partner as supportive and motivating as Dan, I do not want them. I get teary-eyed listening to him cheer and seeing you thrive. 🥺
What I learned from this video: they don't have water in Whatford. Take your own. In lots of tiny little bottles.
When you have access to beautiful northern tap you can never go back.
Brother that is not how you spell Watford
@@greenpenguin3154 What-for?😂
Ok but much of that water was for the 5 hours the two of us spent in a car that day 😂
What an uplifting video. Plus - can we just take a moment to give kudos to Daniel for being the cheerleading King!
“It’s not about the time. It’s about the racing craft. That was fun.” Here’s another shout out for running by power vs. pace. You can make a complete shift to the racing craft when you essentially can’t focus on pace any longer.
Difficult to put a finger on what exactly it is but that’s the strongest you’ve looked in ages. Awesome
It’s the haircut. More aerodynamic.
Arm carriage looked great. Spinal engine doing its thing. Smooth as f.
Probably the Pilates

Going down as one of the most fun I’ve had out there on a track!

Such a rad vibe to this video. "Number one, have fun. And then, the rest just takes care of itself." Congrats on the win and the PB cherries on top!
Back to basics, and back on track! Love the f*cking grind!
What a race!! That overtake on the bend was everything! Like others have said already, you looked so strong and really focused. Keep doing this Phily! You’re flying 🎉🎉
you look abslt amazing in this hairstyle!! its like +5 to speed
The grey outfit is the business, what a winning smile.
Philly at 5:00 made me laugh as that's how I act around smokers ;) great video so far and all the way, so proud of you digging deep x
Hey Phily! It's great to hear you talk about a more sustainable growth mindset. I have also struggled with this recently. I guess it's always important to remember that we perform best when we're having fun!
incredible race, congrats Phily! you were so patient and controlled, then it was amazing to watch you gradually passing... EVERYONE 😁

F@cking yes girl! Absolutely love Daniel. Every runner needs a Daniel. Outstanding performance!
i reckon that hard 1500 the week prior, whilst not nice at the time, really crowned you. Gotta have those ridiculously hard efforts
What a total bad ass in that runsie!! Showing shades of Joan Benoit with the hair and tenacity! Loved the rest stop ratings and the slow motion race footage by Daniel.
Tactical, and all that it takes to back it up. FANTASTIC!!! Congratulations! Your running form is outstanding!
Been waiting for this video since I saw it on your socials. Yes Phil! Chuffed for you. Sometimes it's about going out there and just enjoying the race and the PBs and wins are a bonus! Seems like you did both in this one, so well done! :)
Genuinely loved the road trip montage part. Would watch an entire video of road trip Phily :) Glad I get to binge your videos as a new sub

Fantastic performance, Phily! I definitely think having that 'relaxed/go have fun' frame of mind helped so much. LOVE THE GRIND! =D
Anyone else here for the "GO PHILY" from Daniel
Years ago we had a go Pre. Now we have a go Phily. Superb run congratulations.
Congrats Phily, happy for you!
What a come back from the other track video I watch a week or so ago ❤ amazing work ❤ not so much in performance. Your performance is always amazing more so in your approach, calm, happy, content, focused and fun 🎉 you nailed it 😎

That was Mcgreat! You deserved every nugget and fry. PB and you had fun. Congratulations, Phily!
You must have absolutely beasted that final lap. Fantastic running Phily (awesome support Daniel as always)
Congratulations, that was a massive performance, and it shows how to run faster by just going out there with a smile on your face, and enjoying every minute of it.
Excellent Form, you looked effortless.
So happy for the win and PB!
Brilliantly executed race, well done, & rocking the pixie cut
Nice about Elliot Giles! I am a subscriber to you both and never knew Daniel was the editor. More reason to always watch the both of your videos.
I love hearing what you’re thinking during the race 👍
Wonderful job, congratulations! I wish I could find track meets like that where I live. Both so I could watch as a spectator and also to participate in with people at my level [which is slower than 15-16 min 5k pace]
Big congrats on the PB and the W, Phily! I came for the running content, stayed for the travel guide! Love The Grind!
Phily, you are just such a huge motivation to me, thank you for your amazing content 🤩💕 And congrats on your win, amazing race 🏃♀️🔥 Love the grind!

Weekday Phily? You love to see it.
This day must have been a content creators dream... 🙂!! Well done!
Every race video makes me wish I had my own Daniel cheering me on!
Dude that is crazy fast! Congratulations!
Watched this on the train from Reading, only found this Chanel recently. Things I wished I learnt in the years living in Reading, rather than by watching PBs videos: how good the routes round the flood planes were vs. kings meadow.
Massive congrats, Phily! Also, you two are so cute together, I would totally watch a relationship Q&A ☺
So glad you went in feeling so good and had a great result too!
Everybody should have a Daniel in his life
Buzzing for you! Congrats!
really love how daniel support you, good luckk
Love the even-shorter hair-do! No need for clips, headbands or hats. 😁👍
I imagine you as a "never silent person". 😂😂 "That will do!" another line from Mary Poppins! Amazing job!
Wow - congrats! Some very strong athletes in that field and you destroyed them, love it.
Nice Phily, you flew past the last girl well done 🎉
Absolutely loved that video. The race was so exciting. Brilliant stuff Phily 👍☺️🏃🏻♀️💪🥇🏆
Lovely job Phily!

Well done you! And 5/5 on the kit.
Welldone Phily 🎉
Good job running a race. You looked very in control, strong. If it was at the line close finish you would have been a beast at the end.
And here I was thinking Daniel WAS the foam roller?!?!🥰 Wonderful to see you still have your post 1500 glow😂 And now 5k is EASY!! Ya see?! Speeeeeed is goooooood (if only because you're happy to be alive after....)😁
You are a fricken ROCKSTAR
Brilliant PB and video , well done!
I'm really interested in seeing the shoes and equipment a runner of your caliber is using when you are picking it for yourself instead of a sponsor picking for you.
Thanks for the content!
Yay Phily!
Oh I absolutely loooove your comments about pilates! 😂

Also we want a tattoo tour 🤩
Love it! Took a cheapo, not cheapo group trip to London. Our hotel was in Watford🙄.
Congratz!!! You did awesome 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Congratuations!! Mega inspiration ❤
Kind of wish u lived in the states. Would love to see you and Allie Ostrander collaborate. Her and Spence are equally as silly as you and Daniel!
Watching this in my “Love the grind” t shirt this morning to hype myself up for my 5k a a few hours😅
Feel like with that $500 win you could have saved that beanie baby! Good job and great win
Watched the race live on Vinco, amazing performance, well done
Impressive 🙌
You smashed it Philly and looked so fresh at the end! 😳
Agreed, takes a while to adjust to solid pilates class ;)
