here is it in a nutshell for you all: At age 47, the Rolling Stones' bassist, Bill Wyman, began a relationship with 13-year old Mandy Smith, with her mother's blessing. Six years later, they were married, but the union only lasted seventeen months. Not long after, Bill's 30-year-old son Stephen married Mandy's mother, age 46. That made Stephen a stepfather to his former stepmother, Mandy. Think it also made him a stepfather to his own DAD!! -well as they say its all Rock n Roll!!
Watch his face at 2.39 when he says 'they'll think I'm your dad ... '. I am so with the person who thought he was old at the time and now marvels at how good he looks, who knew he was so handsome? and full of mischief. Can't help smiling at this.
Great song summer of 1981 I was 19 god how I loved that time. I had just come back from 2 week holiday in the South Of France with my parents we drove there and back in an Austin Maxi no air con in those days. Great times great memories
Great song from Bill wyman released back in '81 1981 was a great year for music and movies 🎬 🎞 Only fools and horses 🐎 started in September '81 It ran from September 1981 to December 2003 The greatest British comedy ever 🤣 👏 Along with the music 🎶 🎵 🙌 👌
My first camera operator job- great fun . He asked me if I had ever "taken Concorde"....true !! Nope ! It looks so dated now - but ...who cares. Brilliant to have been involved.... Paul Fitz
This really brings me back .... Summer of '81 ....... Ireland on vacation ..... John McEnroe wins Wimbledon ....... takes the Concord home right on time to see Bruce Springsteen live ... snubbing the Queen in the process ... and of course ...BILL WYMAN !!!!
Understandably, millions of people have waxed lyrical over Wyman's evocative singing, but I'd forgotten there was *so* much more to him. 1:08 , 1:26 - Wyman was such a naturally talented, _captivating_ performer..! 1:17 - Watch how he moves, too... The music simple *lives* in him! 😄
I loved this song so much when it came out- it definitely has an Ian Dury feel to it so I'm not surprised he wrote it with Dury in mind (thanks Wiki!) He was so cute too! love love
Bill Wyman is so cute here. This was made in 1981. I wonder how old he is. I know he's the oldest stone. He doesn't have the best voice in the world, but he's likable. kc440
Cool! Never saw this one before--The U.S. completely shunned this record at the time. I even tried ordering the 45 from Tower Records in 1981, but they couldn't get it. Shame.
I bought mine at a Musicland in an Aurora, Colorado mall. We could normally find what we needed at Wax Trax. Musicland was mainstream, so it was a pleasant surprise to find it there. I'm jealous; we didn't get a Tower Records until the 1990s. It closed. Denver is about ten years behind everything else in the country...except for marijuana legalization and the hippie/crunchy granola population.
I remember when this came out and I thought Bill Wyman was an old man who should be put out to grass. Now I'm older than he was then and I wonder at how young he looks in this video. All those youngsters who make nasty remarks about his age - you've got it to look forward to. It happens to us all, unless fate decrees that we die before we get old, to quote another old rocker. Enjoy your youth. It doesn't last long.
Somerset Maugham, who knew the Riviera intimately, called it “a sunny place for shady people.” Even Mick cites this in an interview (bit of a hoot lol)
This was acceptable in the 80s But if it was released today it would be frowned upon The world was a much different place when this was released in '81
Today Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings is one of the most entertaining and swinging bands live on this planet. Real good time rock'n'roll, while this song was rather a joke. His albums are completely different.

It's called paedophilia.
@@jasonchambers4495 it's called Sexlightened
Six years later ???
So Bill’s a Bacon
That’s sick.
This song has been going through my head for decades...
Brilliant line form the song "they will think I am your dad and your my daughter"
Dirty bastard. Gave a signal as to his future intention.
Yep, huge clue that Wyman is a wrong 'un
Watch his face at 2.39 when he says 'they'll think I'm your dad ... '. I am so with the person who thought he was old at the time and now marvels at how good he looks, who knew he was so handsome? and full of mischief. Can't help smiling at this.
brilliant song...shame they don't make em like this anymore.
its not really a song, he is just talking over music.
@brian.7966 he keeps with the rhythm though and does it very well IMHO !

The best singer in the Stones, should have made more of these classics, great Lyrics, great accent., Bill Whyman was a one off.🥸🇬🇧

queen was a lizard lady
Bill was 45 when he did this song, and I gotta say, he was looking good back then...
Understandably, millions of people have waxed lyrical over Wyman's evocative singing, but I'd forgotten there was *so* much more to him.

And his pedophilia........
2023 and still love this track! Summer 1981....! Wish I could go back!
Can I come with you. I was 18 then. What a great time.
Ooh me too, I was 6 !
❤
Superb - so tongue in cheek.
I live in France - but I'm no rock star.
Unfortunately......
Love the sense of humor and the wry smile when he pokes fun at himself
Helped define MTV, back in the day when MTV was good... you go Bill so hot
BILL WYMAN ...J'E SUI. ADORABLE. .. NICE ROCK...
The simple songs are always the best!
welshdragon2008 si si
They'll think that I'm your dad and you're my daughter......Mandy.
The sexiest stone...I love him
It's great to see someone making such a spoof of himself. Hem moves more in this clip than he ever did during all Stones concerts combined
I've always loved this song..it's so crap and so awesome!
Nice bit of self awareness - good laugh from Bill
Love it. Go get 'em Billy Boy!
You couldn't get away with songs like this nowadays, could you?
Tdy they get away with Far Worse !😂
I loved this song so much when it came out- it definitely has an Ian Dury feel to it so I'm not surprised he wrote it with Dury in mind (thanks Wiki!)
He was so cute too! love love
WOW ! This song has just popped into my head & I had to search for it because I'd forgotten it was Bill Wyman & my initial thought was Ian Dury !
There's no need for Bill Wyman to be expressive! He's the coolest guy just standing in front of the camera!
Very funny, tounge in cheek! I'd only seen it the once in 1981 and I do remember the hovercraft joke.
Bill Wyman is so cute here. This was made in 1981. I wonder how old he is. I know he's the oldest stone. He doesn't have the best voice in the world, but he's likable. kc440
i still loeve this song even though i'm not much on techno stuff. what a sense of interview
I always think that this would be Del Boy's go to song on the karaoke 😁😁
I can't decide if this is the funniest song of all time, or the funniest video....
Hell, it's both!
Wyman, you're a somnambulant genius!
Good Ole' Bill struts more in this video than on any tour with THe Stones (LOL)!
Aw Bill's a legend.
for all you out there that dont believe, open whats there in your life
Cool! Never saw this one before--The U.S. completely shunned this record at the time. I even tried ordering the 45 from Tower Records in 1981, but they couldn't get it. Shame.
Got mine in Toronto
Yes , so true .... Good thing I spent the Summer of '81 in Ireland :)

A excellent song by Bill so catchy
Somerset Maugham, who knew the Riviera intimately, called it “a sunny place for shady people.”
Even Mick cites this in an interview (bit of a hoot lol)

He looks REALLY good here! Remarkable considering his age and, ahem, habits.
i think the driver in this was my old man, vic (gregg) peck, he worked for bathropp cars, now all long gone, great song x
Better than anything Mick did solo.
I did like Ruthless People.

Thank you for this video! It was in 1981, I think. In those days I liked this utterly silly song! Bill Wyman fooled us all.
