mmm mmm mmmmm. not Capt. Bouy Dodger, hahahaha Just messing Sam, things happen to the best of us but at least you were Captain enough to own the mistake and learn from it. Nice ride today I bet your looking forward to warmer weather in the Gulf. DOLPHIN!!!! Your gonna get those things this time Rev I just know it. Glad all is well and best wishes to you two.
@@WhatYachtToDo Well, we maybe looking for another boat. We did the sea trial on the Tennessee River. Long story short, ended with a blown port engine and a starboard engine blowing smoke. Just wasn’t our day or the owners. Thanks. D.
I encourage every long-distance cruiser to take a scuba course and get at least a small scuba setup. A "pony bottle" with a cheap regulator is fine for shallow diving, and could be a life saver when underwater repairs are needed.
@@WhatYachtToDo I started snorkeling in Florida when I was 15, and took my first scuba dive there a year later. To be honest, I never gave alligators much thought, and I'm still here 50 years later.
@@WhatYachtToDo I hear you. Also, I live in the Seattle area now, and the water's just too darned cold. I finally bought a dry suit last month, but haven't even got it wet yet. But I now have it if I need it. Be Prepared!
There is nothing quite like a good barge race. Title it "Two tows on their toes!" You two keep coming up with new exciting problems to solve! The Mobile Convention Center is where LST 325 docked when she came back from Greece, arrived there 10 January 2001. And a night landing too! That was a double excitement day.
One option that you could had used is to do an internet search for local dive shops near where your next or closest marina is and ask if the dive shop knew someone that would be willing to come out and resolve your problem with the thruster and line. Most dive shops will know someone and more often than not their charge would be minimal.
Hi Mike. Yes, that is what we eventually did at LuLu's. We found a local diver there that does bottom cleaning and he came an got it out. Eventually down the road we hit a submerged log with the starboard prop and had to be hauled out. More to come on the thruster down the road as we had to replace the prop and also the fuse. Always something, stay tuned!
Hello. I missed the beginning I was getting my snowblower out :). I'll catch up later. Need to see what you need the diver for. Hope it's not serious. Take care.

Nice to be able to go 20 mph but I bet that burns some fuel! Enjoy your travels!
You got that right!
Good job guys! Another old saying about boating we always used to say in the marina: "There's always something!"
LOL, Yes, just waiting for the next thing to happen - Semper Gumby!
We’re still on track for our March 18th closing. Watching all ( or most) of your videos has kept us still wanting to go. Thanks. D.
That is awesome! Hope to see you out there on the water.

Good idea and in Alabama some Anti-Alligator creme! 😎

Cool! I got my PADI cert in Florida in 1990. Took the cert near Palm Bay. A long time ago in a galaxy far far away LOL. Never had time to dive a lot.

Hi Rus, Yes Murphy has been traveling with us and will be there in the next few videos as well.
Wow I am sorry I missed the premiere of this video. Glad everything turned out ok.
Thanks!!

Hey Sam, the map at the end of the video is for the next days journey. Just paying attention…..
oops! Thanks for letting us know!
if you haven't ran aground or a line around a prop then you haven't left the dock😁
Great way to think of it. All worked out well in the end!
There’s nothing like self-inflicted pain, it seems to hurt the most

Nothing too serious. Stay warm!
@@WhatYachtToDo Pesky lines.... Nicely handled as always! I enjoy your videos. Take care.
Just go to the Mid-Bay lighthouse, then turn to a heading of about 135' to Bon Secour.
👍
You should rename the boat ‘Thruster’. That's three now. If there's an Achilles heel on a larger boat, it's the thruster.
You are so right!
