Yeaaaah Dolphins!!! So happy your getting to see more this time Rev. Such a nice ride again you guys can't thank you enough for bringing us along. Be well and rest up for that crossing. Best wishes
Yes, indeed Air Shows over water are extra special. We used to go from the Rochester NY area to Toronto Island every year for the Canadian National Exhibition. We anchored off the Exhibition grounds directly in the flight path. This was back when I was taking 35mm slides. It will be interesting to dig them out again! Great trip segment on America's Great Loop. Hooray, Anchor Girl, saves time, no deploying bumpers and tying lines.
We boat in that area a lot. We have spent many nights on Spectre Island. Love to see the military planes take off and land at Hurlbert Field. Beautiful spot.
My daughter and her husband were there at Fort Walton. The beaches are amazing. They spent 2 years there with the Airforce. The were happy to get back to Eastern Washington and Fairchild AFB where we don't have that horrible humidity in the summer😎
While sailing I rarely had the radio on. It drains the battery, it's below deck at the nav station unless I have a handheld, and there is rarely any reason to talk to anyone. If on an offshore race we would have it on to monitor the officials and in case anyone got into trouble.
AWESOME!! This was one of your best videos by far! As a former sailor I must say in my boats I always had the vhf hand held and remote turned way up in the cockpit. Sailing in San Diego Bay it was necessary because of all the military ship traffic. Having said that, I must agree that most sailors are kind of laid back and casual and, of course, enjoying the wind in their face! Thanks guys!
You all cruised through my home waters in this video. My wife and I are starting to talk about buying a motor yacht to do the loop once we retire. My home port is Sherman Cove Marina which is located right at the land cut you went through just west of Pensacola Pass.
That is awesome. Be sure to check out www.GreatLoopAcademy.com where we are putting online courses there. Slowly getting to build a learning academy that we will keep updated.
just cuz you are under sail and do not have the engines running DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULDNT HAVE RADIO HANDY ON ACCESSABLE AND IN USE!!! ..... I thought that was like a RULE?? ;) hehehe eh.... too many people tyhink that CELL FONE is good enuf in todays electronic universe ;) wasn't the rule something like, ..... ''if underway monitor channel 16 (or wutever) ......''

Ah 35mm! Yes, anchoring has become more frequent and enjoyable 😎

Thanks Rick! Wish we had more of the anchoring part, but will do better on the final run up the east coast!
You are having fun and seem way less stressed than last time!
😎👍
Oh, I’m a good mechanic with tools. I dive at 70 years old. Lol 😂
Wow!
Good morning guys. Still following you. Have great day.
Thanks Chuck! Be well!
Great trip today. Lots of open water now and things seem pretty distant. Hope the anchoring goes well and we get closer to to the crossing. Enjoy
Ah, yes the second crossing will be much better. Stay tuned!

Always a fun time. Was there again in February on a training and delivery journey. 😎
Oddly enough, here's a question I hadn't considered until now...do you have a airplane also?
On the hard Ed.
No airplane currently! Flown about 40 different types but have not owned one yet!
