  • After seeing how many found the helmet sizing tutorial useful I decided to do another general 3dprinting tutorial. I see people asking a lot about how to make helmet visors in all the 3d printing groups so I figured i'd show exactly what I do. Hopefully this helps you figure out how you want to do your visors for your own 3d printed helmets!

    Adding to this, if tinting gets annoying for anyone/tinted welding masks are too dark, colored acetate or transparent pvc cover is your friend. Basically these are usually used for covers for binders and come in a range of transparent colors so you can have a visor besides black. They also come in just clear if you want to tint it yourself. Thickness-wise its actually in between the thin faceshields and the thick welding visors. You can usually find these in office or school supply stores or online.

    I JUST finished my Mandalorian helmet yesterday.. I purchased a welding visor off of Amazon and found it to be quite rigid when trying to form fit it in the helmet. I ended up using a heat gun to help form it, which worked wonders. I would be worried about using any sort of heat gun with window tint, though. So I would have to make sure to use something very flimsy and flexible like Acetate when using window tint, so I wouldn't feel the need to resort to using a heat gun.
    Side note: I would love to see your process for applying padding inside of helmets and armor. I found it to be a constant trial and error process.. figuring out how much was needed, where it should be placed, how it should be angled, how thick each piece should be, and how the helmet sits on my head with each piece that was applied. Is this the "normal" process for applying padding?

    • @SaturdayMorningProps
      @SaturdayMorningProps  Рік тому +1

      The welding mask is definitely rigid like I showed in the video but should've been fine without the heat gun, also the face shield is very pliable so you shouldn't have to even worry about using the heat gun on that. For the window tint if you feel like you need the heat gun do it before you put the tint on. Padding is definitely trial and error. Completely depends on how you scaled your helmet to fit and what helmet youre doing. I usually don't pad it cause I scale them close to the fit of my head

    • @SaturdayMorningProps
      @SaturdayMorningProps  4 місяці тому

      by socket im guessing you mean an indent for the visor to sit in, and some models have that but its more of a pain because then you have to cut the shape aboslutely perfect in order to get it to fit in rather then it just sitting flush with the edge

    Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, whoever looks with lust has already committed adultery in their heart. If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.
