wearing shoes into an african home is very rude i never walk into an African home with my shoes on they put alot of effort of cleaning their house for the family
There is a guy I like being around and he is Zimbabwean and speaks Shona. The only "problem" is that he takes me around his friends and family who either speak Shona or Ndebele. I want to surprise him with some vocabulary and basic phrases. Only thing is I need to learn the right words! Some places say that china is four and that motsi is one. But for him I know that potsi is one and ina is four and china is Thursday. I think he speaks Zezuru. Is that what you are teaching?
charrina56 Wow, that is something very interesting and you might have just inspired a future video. Shona has some interesting dialects for example some say 'vana' and some say 'ana', both mean children. My uncle used to make fun of it and say 'Anna ane ana ana' - Anna has 4 children. I will explain future in a future video. Thanks

I thought it was normal in every culture not to wear a hat inside !
Camille S You are absolutely right. The last time I was in Zimbabwe the younger guys had their hats on indoors, which I felt was really odd
