I'm from Mauritius and my boyfriend is Zimbabwean. Mazvita shamwari for your batsira :)

How closely related is Swati with Shona? I realised that some words are not so expressive of "h" where it should be in Zulu, but in Shona the "h" is there, not as visible; but expressive in vowel sense as in Swati; I am loving these vowel lessons as I am Swati as well
Hi this sound good thanks for the lessons i am marring a Zim guy i have been to Zim so many times but the i cant understand most of the words..... this is helping alot
Mangwanani is" Good morning", MAMUKA SEI is two words which translate to "How well did you wake up" . There is no English equivalents literally. The next best equivalents is would be "how are you". " How are you" literally would be "muri sei" which is not conventional shona but has been added to shona colloquial or slang to make a direct or literal translation for "How are you". Muri sei - is not something you would here someone in their 70's coz they never used such phrases when they were younger. Its a fairly young phrase. People maybe who are 50 and younger use this, and more commonly in urban setting. Hope i'm making sense to you
Mangwanani Mangwanani Makasimba here?. Ehe, takasimba/ndakasimba Respect Gunna remember this for my bus driver olek. He's really cool. Hope ya all have a blessed day Stay strong :) Might have to use that in English. Are you strong? Are we strong?
