Tulani, thank you deeply for teaching these lessons. At some point in my future I may have the good fortune to come to Zimbabwe to learn Mbira from a well respected maestro who has invited me to come in the future. I’m learning Shona not only so I can comprehend and sing the words of the songs, but also to honor and respect the Mbira guru and the people I’ll meet when I come. I’m very grateful to you for making these lessons for all of us. Thank you!
Thank you brother. I have a friend from Zimbabwe I work with in Chicago. He love that he can speak his native language with some even if it's just a greeting and a few words. He said it made him feel at Home. Plus he has never heard a Latino speak Shona. Keep posting brother.
Thank you so much for doing these lessons, I adore you❤❤. A few of my friends are from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 and I would love to learn Shona so I can converse with them. And of course I want to surprise them 😁 Im taking notes and talking to myself 😂 looking a bit crazy ..... I don't care 💃🏽💃🏽
Thank you for uploading the two videos. They have been very helpful. To me it is very useful that you repeat the words because I need to hear the correct intonation and pronunciation as often as possible to be able to speak them myself. I've just been watching this video for the fifth time. One success of the lessons has been that I've recognized a word in a Shona song: Manheru.
eres un gran maestro las vocales son iguales a el español, es de gran ayuda, cuando visite Zimbabwe aprendí algunas palabras pero con las lecciones estoy mejorando
Tulani, thank you so much for reaching us Shona, I'm really enjoying your teachings, keep the video coming, kindly add some of the words how to propose love to a girl, 😂 I just want to know how we can appreciate women and make them feel special. Ndinotenda Mukoma
Hello these videos are really helpin me to speak shona ive already learnt so much it would be great if u could make more videos but im still grateful 😊 maita basa
Thank you so much for your awesome videos. Very easy to understand and follow. I had one question. You said 'mamuka' was a phrase for 'have you woken up well'. However during the text bits at the end 'mamuka' is said to mean 'how are you this morning'. Can you still use mamuka for somebody that does shift work? If they do not wake up till the afternoon can you greet them with 'misikati, mamuka here?'
Please keep posting, your videos are really great and more people should know that beautiful language !
