It would be great if Capcom could sort out the necessary licencing to have a Capcom Beat 'em up Bundle Volume 2 with Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, Alien vs Predator and The Punisher included!
C&D and AVP are imposdible due to copyrights being in licensing limbo. The Punisher is impossible because Disney owns him now and they demand outrageous prices for their licenses (especially now when they have financial trouble). Would be great, yes, but it will not happen.

Alien vs Predator were the most popular arcade games that everybody played in the 80's and 90's at arcades everywhere. Also Bucky O'Hare should've been on the list for sure.
Imo the tmnt and simpsons machines were very popular not only because the games were cool but I dunno… there was something kinda magical about how the machines looked…
Pretty complete list. The ones I come back to most often cause of their entertaining gameplay, unique mechanics and reasonable length (lets face it, it's very repetitive genre) are: - The Punisher - Vendetta - Night Slashers - Battle Circuit - Violent Storm (honorable mention)

Buuuut, all of the influencers hyped it up and since it was in every fucking arcade on the planet everyone recognizes it and nostalgia kicks in. Its funny that one of my favorite beat' em ups is Streets of Rage 2 and it didn't come out in arcades. Unless you count the Mega Tech arcade system, I never actually seen one in person. Golden Axe The Revenge of Death Adder is a hidden gem, it should of came out on the Sega Saturn back in the day!

I wouldn't have expected Renegade to make it (It may have started the genre as it is shown (mostly) here, but it was pretty much a first draft of things compared to even Double Dragon, its immediate successor), but Warriors of Fate not reaching the top 25 was surprising. Perhaps it was a localization issue to caused some people forget or downrate it. (References to it essentially being a predecessor to Koei's Dynasty Warriors series were removed in localization.)

No way in hell does Night Slashers belong above Metamorphic Forces, Violent Storm and Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder. Metamorphic Forces should have been an easy top 10.

Final Fight es el mejor de todos. Para los que dicen que está sobrevalorado o que hay mejores, primero aprendan a jugarlo como se debe, con una sola ficha. El gameplay es prácticamente perfecto, los enemigos diferenciados, sprites bien hechos, alta dificultad, etc. Juegos como Dungeon and Dragons son más complejos, con más elementos y opciones, pero mucho más fáciles que Final Fight donde cada pantalla es un peligro. Final Fight es el padre de todos los beat em ups, y el mejor realizado.
Shocked the Dungeons and Dragons series isn't ranked at the top. To me, it is essentially the pinnacle of the genre. I can definitely see why Golden Axe is so highly rated though. It has amazing gameplay.

This is a very good list but you forgot some gems like Sengoku 3, Denjin Makai Guardians, The Combatribes, Armored Warriors and Streets of Rage.

Streets of Rage is possibly the greatest Beat em up ever, but it was never an arcade release (and that made it even more impressive)
