Respect. I've seen several people watch this show for the first time and they always underestimate how...into it Vanessa is.
Love your analysis of Vanessa she is such an underrated character and what she means to Fisk is very interesting. And you’re still picking up on the parallels between Fisk and Matt. Great reaction! 👍
The people working close to Fisk are not afraid of him aside from knowing he can flip out if you get on his bad side. The people NOT knowing Fisk personally but working for him either through Wesley or other intermediaries are terrified because they won't be safe anywhere. Spies all around, and dirty cops can assassinate you, etc. Basically you don't know where you'll find trouble. The Russians had their personal army, that's why Vladmir was foolishly confident about going to war with him. Japanese are probably tied with Yakuza which are as dangerous or even more dangerous than Fisk. Gao seems way too smart for Fisk and the old money dude probably has some personal guards as well to counter some of Fisk's power. And they all know how the myth of Fisk's power is mainly maintained by Wesley. You could say they know how the magic trick is performed, and thus less impressed by it.

What's happening is Foggy's heart is breaking just a little bit as he realizes that Karen is totally all about Matt. She's literally asking Foggy to pretend to be Matt for her.
You mentioned he always looks like he's about to cry. To me, it always looked like he was just barely holding back a terrible rage.
That seems like one and the same to me.
The one common thread I like between Daredevil and Batman is that in practicality - these two have more reasons to be villains than heroes. At least Punisher level anti-heroes, Not the heroes they are.
The reason they are who they are is actually explicitly stated by Matt in the finale of the last season. It makes sense, and it endears Matt to me.
Never let yourself get lost in the sauce. No matter how angry, desperate or defeated you feel.

As you continue Marvel Netflix, you'll see why Gao and Nobu aren't intimidated by Fisk. Leland's just a cocky jerk, and we've seen enough of the Russians already to show one of them was sufficiently cowed and one's too hot headed to be bullied

Meg, you crack me up, "I think that's a Batman reference", when Claire asks, if he's one of those billionaire superheroes she's read about. You do realize this is Marvel not DC, right? She was referring to Tony and Iron Man!!! LMAO! good times.
It doesn't have to be a singular reference. Daredevil is often considered to be the 'Batman' of Marvel, so he often gets comparisons as well.
So 'billionaire playboy', for example, could easily have a double reference.
@@TheEndKing I was just giving Meg a hard time as a joke, Jesus!!! I'm well aware of the similarities between Batman and Daredevil.
It's funny, because not only have they already mentioned, "The Incident", but they're in the same city as Stark Tower. Hence me giving her a little jab over the slip, which I'm sure is due to her being so invested in the Batman animated series.

@@po5283 I thought she was saying it was a Batman reference made by the writers (like a little joke to the viewers) because she knows the difference between DC and Marvel. But yeah, this show is too serious for that.
