I really love how y’all watch shows with empathy and really break down the psychology/morality of characters. That’s one of the main reasons I love this show so much - it really makes you think about the morals and motivations behind the characters, and then leaves you questioning what it means to be a hero. The characters in this show are just people deep down and we find ways to empathize with every one of them, even if we hate them. The best villains are the ones we sympathize with/relate to, and at the end of the day it’s never as simple as good vs. bad.
The writing in this show is top tier and I’m so happy y’all are really getting that! Love you guys and UGH I wish I knew yall personally because the way you approach these stories with so much depth shows me how wonderful of people you must be. Thanks for sharing with us ♥️

Yeah y'all aren't the only ones who compares DD to Batman, they have very similar and dark MOs. He probably is the closest thing we have to a Batman (although I think Claire's mention of billionaire playboy was more of a reference to Tony Stark).
Im glad you guys enjoy foggys wit. Some people don't think this show is edgy enough and think he's annoying or brings the whole thing down. Which is definitely something I disagree with.
One of the best episodes of the entire series in my opinion.
there is quite a bit of gray areas in this which is why it is so gripping- also another dynamic is that he is catholic as well. this show is loosely based on the frank Miller run of daredevil who of course did the" dark knight returns " run . deborah ann woll is awesome and hopefully will return in the new d+ series..

Vladimir ended up redeeming himself a bit at the end of his life, I think.
I have said before, but I think it would be better if you would watch all the Defenders and punisher series. Because you wouldn't undrstand S3 whitout Jessica Jones Luke Cage, The Defenders even Iron Fist . I think Meg would love Jessica Jones. And Season 3 has spoilers in it. And a characers ark ends in Defenders, that appiers in season 2
It's a long ride to get to S3, but it's worth it
I dont agree. You only need to watch The Defenders to understand S3. However i agree that at least JJ S1 and The Punisher S1 are really good and should be watched.
Yeah, they need only Defenders, but I think they would understand that if they watch the rest. So, yes they should, even if Iron Fist season 1 is not that good it's a full story if they watch all of it.

I wouldnt be opposed to them watching at least the season 1s of the other shows too but i guess that really just depends on them and if Daredevil is their sole focus or if they want to know all about the characters that are in The Defenders with Matt. If that makes sense. S2 of Luke Cage and Iron Fist are better than the first at least. I believe its the opposite with JJ and The Punisher. I think JJ and The Punisher their first season is their best one
Watch 'em all, I say. Even if some series or seasons aren't top notch, there are some very memorable characters in every one.

21:44 -exactly, like propaganda that replacing many classic fictional heroes to women or black people or sometimes other skin colors is something good, when it's stupid and unnecesary politic .
The same with ideas that if some movie or TV series doesn't have ''strong'' woman in it (as one of main characters) and black people as one of main characters, then it can't be good XD
Daredevil doesn't kill because of his religious morals and to protect his soul. Batman doesn't kill because he knows that he'll never come back from it and it would become his solution to everything. Batman is a psychopath. His rules keep him in check.
I don't think Batman is a pychopath. Joker is a psychopath. Batman understands the position he's in personally.
He knows he's not as scared or desperate as the criminals of Gotham and if with his strength, wealth and skills he's okay with killing people he is in no position to judge men like Chill. You really need to be better than those you condemn.
