Them lawyers going straight to hell. PERIOD
I thought lawyers lied about everything.
Fakename8856 lie-awyer that's wat madeia said
My sister lawyer looked at her crazy when she asked for paperwork he strongly said he would email her 😮 Her own lawyer took advantage of her and got over half her money. Once the settlement was agreed on he got mean and rude to her so much so she called me and said she was scared to ask him anything even about her own money.
My lawyer started acting mean with me also after my case was filed which was different from the initial consultation. After signing up with him, my case went bad. It was the worse decision I made, and it's been 15 years.
@@SR-yc5ee Check on it in a different way to make sure the case hasn’t been settled. I don’t trust them. I had a friend been getting money from her lawyer he claimed that the case was on going but in fact the case was settled 5 years ago Crazy
Yes. Look I answered this BS question and it didn't take me 9:26 seconds
So you're saying the lawyer cannot tell their client how much the case actually settled for in terms of disclosing how much the lawyer's cut will be? Instead the lawyer will tell the client how much the little amount they will receive. So the lawyer basically is hiding how much they're getting paid? This sounds like some Alex Murdaugh mess while the clients remain broke and continue to suffer mentally from the trauma from an accident and be traumatized from the financial abuse they suffer from a shady lawyer, and I speak from personal experience.
No. That’s not what I’m saying.
He said lawyers often can’t talk about how big OTHER cases were that he settled, because there is often confidentiality clauses in those settlements, so they might sound shifty trying talking about that.
Attorneys don't like to waste their time on a losing case.
We always "lie" to opposing counsel as to the amounts of settlement authority and possible settlement amounts, for bargaining.
When his first word wasn't no I knew it was yes
This is very unhelpful
Why not just get to the point right away. It should yes or no and not so much go around the question.
It’s more complicated than a yes or no.
He’s a BAR defacto Occultist. Get to Yusef El, Moziah Corporation and Robots and Patriots as well as Brandon Williams … Unrig from defacto United States Inc
These people BAR will be held liable for Crimes Against Humanity
That's what lawyers do, lie and are snakes.
Worker’s compensation settlements 15% in California
Yep they got me out of $550,000 I only got $7500
You wasted everyone time by answering a different question (I believe on purpose). The question is "do Atorneys lie about what the case SETTLED for"?
AI needs to replace all lawyers.
Input your problem, AI creates all documents for the judge. Judge outputs an order.
I won a settlement case the during the beginning covid . And I had to wait to get paid because the business that I won against had to close . And I signed a paper stating nthT I had to wait 2 months after the business reopened . The business reopened about 5 months ago . But now the attorney ghosted me , he isn’t answering my phone calls texts or emails.
File a complaint with the bar association of your state; they’ll investigate and get down to the bottom of it.
You forgot one thing the client has to pay the medical out of the recovery money as well.
At the beginning of a case, I make the process clear for my clients. At the 6 minute mark I talk about my process for printing out an accounting (distribution summary) for clients during settlement. It is at this point that I further discuss medical costs. Often times, attorneys will negotiate medical liens and attempt to have them reduced or eliminated. A complicating factor can be Medicare/PIP. I didn't forget to include this, medical liens/costs/reductions, that process, could be its own video. I can only speak to so much, and this question was about whether lawyers lie about settlements.
@@clootenlawyer So when you say Medicare or Medicaid, our daughter was severely injured at birth and is now 8 years old. We are In the middle of a major pediatric malpractice lawsuit. If we win do we have to pay back all the medical coverage she has received from Medicaid for the last 8 years? Surgery’s, medications, months and months in the hospital, 24hr nursing careI. 10s of millions of dollars I’m sure by now. Do we have to reimburse all that out of the settlement? Thanks.
@@CarveLife this varies case to case. Often lawyers will negotiate to reduce or eliminate liens. Are you represented by an attorney? If so, please ask them this question.
Hi Blaine, do you know if the attorney is supposed to take their fee from the total settlement or from what’s leftover after medical bill negotiations?
This is a great question. The answer is governed by the fee agreement. Generally though, attorneys will take their fee from the total recovery.
@@clootenlawyer thanks a bunch!
I don't trust them. Do your homework and do what is right for you. Lawyers should fight and listen to their clients.
Yes, some attorneys do lie about the actual settlement numbers, so, as the channel JZ helps suggests, & this attorney gets around to mentioning (5:46), clients need to be proactive & ask for an accounting & receipt of each transaction the lawyer & law firm makes that reduces the settlement amount, &/or at least ask for an itemized statement of such costs at the end.
Hi, @@mz.a1704. Are you directing your question(s) to me, or to the channel responsible for uploading this video?
No worries, @@mz.a1704. No need to apologize. I just thought clarification was important, & especially that I can know how to answer.
Unfortunately I don't have time to really answer you in great detail at this time, because I have some time-sensitive issues to address on my end, but this I will note for right now: I am not an attorney, so let's establish that first; however, I do my best to gain as much knowledge as I can, & out of some of that learning came my comment. I would say that the advice I retold is a good rule to follow for any injury claim case, but, of course, the attorney or law firm one is consulting with, or is thinking to consult with, would need to agree to such an arrangement. But, of course, this is the type of thing best discuss with an attorney or law firm from the outset of contact & before retaining such.
As far as in addition to, or beyond what I've said here, I would suggest you reach out to the channel that uploaded this video, & specifically address your comment to the same, & reference what was said by said uploader, which remarks I did provide a timestamp for.
I do hope & pray to the Lord Jesus that things work out for you with regard to your case & whatsoever else you need His intervention about. 🙏🏼 You can let me know how things turn out, if you would like. All the best to you. 👍🏼

All the best to you.
You have to be mindful that medical bills can be factored in and a NDA covers up the fact that you may get nothing.
All the ums and gibberish & hesitation gives much BS
my name is Judy Perez and according to what I have been told that there is an awarded settlement in my name and I have no way of checking
WOW.
I think my divorce lawyer has joined forces with the opposing party. He has been working with them and has been misguiding me and pressuring me to sign over important documents like out of court settlement/divorce and now he wants me to sign over the title of my house before getting my settlement money. The decree says that I will hold the title until money arrives. I can’t trust that because my husband has tried his absolute best to cheat me out of my own money and endure I don’t get a single penny. What should I do
My Laywer told me let’s wrap this up when I’m suppose to get my 1st settlement but never got the money and now they are saying I have to wait until the next one is clear on may 31st I never got my first settlement in July 30th of this year they been lying to me about my case suing Hodo foods I’m waiting on my settlement for a case against the employer what is going on
Be very careful with those employment cases. Because the lawyers actually get together to screw you out of money. Your lawyer will actually accept less than you would be offered straight up from the defending company so you don't get what you asked for and the lawyer gets more than he would have if he actually settled your case cleanly. It's called back dooring. Happens all the time. Best bet with this situation is always threaten to go to trial.
@@ssddurdan1621you was right i didn’t get much I live in California I was only rewarded $7500 the $500,000 went to fees I didn’t like that fact that I wasn’t paid enough
@@ssddurdan1621 yeah you was right I got played out of $550,000 settlement pay. They said it goes out to the administrative there’s nothing they can do about it. I only got 7500 out of that settlement so I see what you’re talking about now they pay people because they want to.
Am sorry I tell to my attorney to ask a copy that i need copy for sorry they doing to me. But my attorney. Can't make sorry to clients .he fraud n liar all the copy they he do for me .sorry I need apology why they do any kind copy to sent to Me but my attorney no do that apology for clients .am sorry to say
Sorry only one time see him thst attorney of my step children.i get hurt feeling why they do this to me we been marrid 1995 he past awajy.2015
i am wondering what are my options when I feel that my attorney was not disclosing relevant information during negotiating with insurance company until after I accepted an offer under his advisement however seemed to have left out important information how what a settlement offer intailed as far as medical bills being my responsibility to pay out of my settlement. I have already signed a release however, contacted attorney the next day to put a hold on sending the signed release after being informed of an amount that i need to pay for my medical bills and would not have accepted settlement offer if I was informed of how the process worked. I have not received a check as of yet, and was wondering if there is any positive options that I can pursue to waive this offer.
In what state are you located? I sometimes give direction generally, but it only applies to Oregon.
I have a case going and was told I have a certain amount medical bill. Found out the bill is covered and isn’t getting taken out of what I’m supposed to receive. Since it’s covered whats a ball park of what th3 total of the bill is should go back towards the settlement? Nothing is owed to that Dr from my case
I don’t understand this question. Sorry. It sounds like you have an attorney, can you ask them?
@@clootenlawyer sorry autocorrect made it all messed up… basically my insurance is paying for a bill from my accident case… I was told from that drs office, I do not have a bill of x amount with them. My attorney said that’s because the bill is from the insurance
I was in an accident about a year and 5 months ago the person had insurance that cover up to 500 thousand dollars they send me to terepy how much should i be getting for settlmen my back still hurts and they stop terapy
I recommend you talk to an attorney. I don’t have enough information to evaluate your damages. Remember, your time to file or lose your claim is running out.
From now on when my wife asks why i lied . I will tell her it was not a lie . It was puffery .
Don’t lie to your wife!
My sister got 300,000 only seen 60,000$ Lawyer got the rest
Fxxx NO😮
$300,0000 is split into 3 and you gotta pay medical bills so that why you got 60
@@izzyelias1111lol even with medical bills 60,000 is so small.🤣 lawyer gets 1/3 and what happened to rest?
I only got $7500 they got $550,000 I didn’t even get that
@@brianwilliams8568 You talk to one lawyer, then when they see it’s a good case They figure out a why to get the most money cause their plan is always to get over on their clients too Only it’s like taking candy from a baby. They lie and tell you’ Oh we had 2 team on this case and you got to pay everyone that maybe at best made a phone call or pretend they did something Getting the money from their clients is the easy part . Now some cases is better off taking settlement yourself from the responsible party but they rather you sue with lawyers… crazy . I was so upset for my sister they had her drag her case for years and told her amount she probably would be taking home Lies
I got a settlement and my attorney is holding my check for a year
He’s using your money for investments and going to wee ree it’s you a check from his office after he get a return.
He stole it😊
Call the board
Can a attorney take a larger amount of the settlement after all attorney fees taken and plaintiffs taking less
Typically, we’re talking percentages. So, the attorney will take 30% and the client will take 70%. Or something like that. I suppose it’s possible for the client to receive less if there’s a lot of costs. But, that would be unusual.
@@clootenlawyer ok thanks … sounds like something sketchy happened cause my brother got screwed receiving nothing from settlement attorney do him dirty
@@roldyczarmoaes6226 it’s also possible there was no recovery. If that’s the situation, no one gets money and the attorney is usually out costs.
@@clootenlawyer no recovery when I got notification a settlement offer was on table in were was a low offer in my part I didn’t agree with it and rejected turning it down attorney was forced me to take it threaten to withdraw from representing and interest in taking it to trial signature was forge small amount of checks was delivered received only aprox 15 - 20 percent from amount settlement was mentioned sad how system is corrupt
It might be sealed settlement awarded in my name
How can client take 66%. What about medical bills?
I answered this a few comments below. The answer is governed by the fee agreement.
Puffery. Is that not lying?
In law, puffery is usually invoked as a defense argument: it identifies futile speech, typically of a seller, which does not give rise to legal liability.
You didn't answer any questions, and it seem like you held back!
To be fair, my job often requires me to hold back. I hold back confidential information, I hold back opinions. My job is to represent my clients and maximize recovery. These videos are fun, but not intended to be exhaustive from an information perspective.
O one's going to listen to you if you just beat around the bush. 🙄
We know ehat yhat means.
I don’t “beat around the bush.” Context is necessary to answer this question. That’s what I’ve done.
@@clootenlawyer Sure
Please be more truthful. Even the way you hesitate shows deception. It’s not helpful or you to act like morals are important to lawyers.
Seems like you are lying you sound just like they sound never answering the question and making shit up
