I remember reading the Hot Rod article about this build a long time ago, and when I saw recognized it in Fast and Furious 4 it put a huge smile on my face. It's cool to see that it's still in your possession, even if you don't get to drive it a lot.
Ya know what David Freiburger? The ULTIMATE Roadkill episode for the F-Bomb would be to road trip it all the way to Loring Maine for the standing mile meet. A hair's breadth away from honest to goodness coast to coast. The longest Roadkill road trip ever in the fastest most powerful Roadkill car ever. Don't waste time thinking about it. Just do it.
Taz Manean the show is great there still doing shady shit on public roads! your just jaded because it no longer feels new. If you have any new ideas email it to them (multiple times so they see it)
I mean I wouldn't turn down being paid more to do less hard work either... But yeah the old episodes are the best. They suffer so much in the cold and laying on parking lots it's great. Muscle truck + minibikes is my favorite episode they just have so much fun the whole time.
I've been to the Louvre in France and seen the Mona Lisa in person, which is inarguably considered a masterpiece. I gotta tell you, the moment Freiberger opened up the hood to this car and gave us a peek inside, THAT ENGINE, is a masterpiece. Nelson Supercars did an incredible job making an engine that functions as good as it looks, holy crap.
KSZ Razor , if i am not wrong , i think i read once that this car was putting out more than 1000 hp, i also remember it had the 68 rear light and man it looked good.
I have always loved this car since Tom built it, and it's still one of my favorite builds. 1500 hp twin turbo V8 built by NRE and it's ridiculous. This car is an icon for sure.
turbos gonna give it away. Expect a potential 8second car. You want a sleeper, hidden nitrous is the way to go. Make it look like an original 307 camaro
The F-Bomb one of my fav cars of all time. I followed every minute of this build. Knew the power-slip was not going to work. This car was my screen saver for may years. And yes it deserves an 8 second time slip.
As soon as the on-demand came out, I knew the youtube channel would suffer. No recent road kill episodes here. Oh well, all good things come to an end.
There was a new episode at the end of January and the newest one is on UA-cam this week I believe. With motor trend on demand you get new episodes a month earlier than UA-cam, that's it.
This cars engine was the inspiration for my Twin Procharged Camaro. 406 ci Dart SBC with AFR 245 heads, JE Forged dished Pistons, Dragon Slayer Crank and so on.... Thanks to Tom Nelson for revealing the build specs!
You have the gift of the gab - I wish I could talk non-stop and still sound interesting like you do. However, just remember to take a breath every now and then, lol.
I know this is an old video. What a gorgeous setup. 4000lbs? ! I love your vision and contribution to the automotive community Freiberger. I’m assuming your car collection will be part of your retirement plan one day. These iconic builds sure are fun. Thanks for what you do.
I remember reading about this many, many years ago, around the same time as a sleeper nova. Back then I had a faint interest in muscle cars but knew of nelson racing. Fast forward many years later, and I can’t make it through a roadkill or roadkill garage episode without pausing to wrench in the garage. I’ve learned so much, but this car really sparked my interest in wrenching (but I was just a kid when freiburger was at 4WOR)
hey? in road kills intro, what kind of engine is that, that cranks and dies? i think it sounds like an old dodge with a slant 6 225, what do you people think ??
Cool to see this car again. I remember seeing it when it was featured in hotrod. I gotta say the car just looks legit. That engine just looks so comfortable in there. Be nice to just see the car finished.
Wow! When you opened the hood I had a flashback to a Nova sleeper with dog dish hubcaps, Mexican blanket upholstery, and totally hidden roll cage that I saw and lusted after in some magazine years ago... I think the engine was made by the same guy? I'd like to see that car again!
I know this video is old, but "RPM" has available, and I can't say if they can get the same results with this car, but Garrett of the famous youtube channel: "Cleetus McFarland" ( made famous for being the very 1st stick shift GM car, a Corvette with all body panels removed known as "Leroy" to run a 7 second pass in the 1/4 mile ) bought a DIFFERENT C6 Corvette used at auction, for another project, threw a little junkyard 4.8 LS truck motor in it, PLUS BETTER PISTONS & RODS, AND PORTED HEADS, and a single turbo, wherein the company "RPM" built perhaps the very best 2 speed Power Glide being made today that comes complete with the rear end, their recommended gearing for that car, and torque tube, along with the entire shift kit for around $15,000. And on their very first try, they ran a 9:01, and that was on low boost ( motor can't handle full boost ). They will be running 8's here in no time. They decided to go ahead and have a roll cage made before making more runs. I don't know what "RPM" is doing to build their entire Power Glide w/rear end kit.......but they shaved off over a second off of their previous pass, from their previous transmission in the 1/4 mile on the very first try. And I just now remembered, they made that 9.01 pass as 2 or 3 of the plug wires MELTED during the run, causing the engine to drop at least 1 cylinder at the big end of the track, yet it STILL ran that extremely low 9........and during 3 different passes that day ( just recently ), they KEPT melting plug wires, the motor would drop a cylinder or 2, and they gave up for the day, until they do something different with routing & protecting the plug wires. And as I just mentioned, we are all now waiting on the roll cage to be fabbed & installed. KEEP YOUR EYE ON THEIR CHANNEL, BECAUSE THAT NEW POWER GLIDE TRANSMISSION BY "RPM" AS A COMPLETE SET-UP WITH REAR-END, BUMP-STOP, SHIFT KIT, THE WHOLE 9 YARDS..........WILL SEND THAT C6 WITH LITTLE TRUCK MOTOR & SINGLE TURBO DOWN THE 1/4 MILE IN 8 SECONDS..........YOU MARK MY WORD. Their complete Power Glide kit with rear-end alone made a world of difference in that car.
BMR makes some excellent IR suspension, some kits requiring no welding at all. You may have to swap over to a 3rd member rear end with a swing axle CV differential, but you can also just swap over to coil overs, as leaf springs are old news. I know 2nd gens used leaf springs until the 3rd gen came out, but that was one of the reasons 3rd gens could outhandle Mustangs on the circuit. This being a streetable drag car, having adjustables will make a big difference on the track, and even handle on the streets better too, lot more control of the horsepower.
david, I am a super fan back to your broken ankle at surprise canon. i figured this car was gone. often thought about it and even saw a few copies. kinda hoped for more nice shit in roadkill
That Diablo in the background at 4:36 is a rare late model AWD variant from when Audi took over Lamborghini, it's a costumer car, and Tom has literally had it in his shop since early 2011. It was suppose to be a a twin turbo build, and the owner was very active on a VWVortex build thread, but stopped posting in 2014. Wondering what's actually going on with the car, I know they did do some fabrication work on it because Tom posted a video update about it years ago, but no updates about it ever since.
hi david freiburger i have a 76 im restoring and was wondering if there was any dementions and or how you made the lower part of your dash cause the stock one does look like and afterthought haha thanks in advance
I remember reading the Hot Rod article about this build a long time ago, and when I saw recognized it in Fast and Furious 4 it put a huge smile on my face. It's cool to see that it's still in your possession, even if you don't get to drive it a lot.

Hancock county chapter.
Lol.
TEXAS mile!
Longest was the alaska trip
Fun fact : They actually used the weight method every car did a wheelie.
No one wants "roadkill extra" we want roadkill again!!!
Since they got Dodge as a sponsor the intro is really shitty and somehow, the show is just not the same :/
Taz Manean the show is great there still doing shady shit on public roads! your just jaded because it no longer feels new. If you have any new ideas email it to them (multiple times so they see it)
Taz Manean sorry message was for Roger
I mean I wouldn't turn down being paid more to do less hard work either... But yeah the old episodes are the best. They suffer so much in the cold and laying on parking lots it's great. Muscle truck + minibikes is my favorite episode they just have so much fun the whole time.
sirgallium They released Episode 60 early as a Christmas special (The Mighty Car Mods crossover). That's why we haven't gotten a new episode yet.
cool to learn that the movie was based off your Camaro. i thought it was the other way around.
Dubiel me to
I've been to the Louvre in France and seen the Mona Lisa in person, which is inarguably considered a masterpiece. I gotta tell you, the moment Freiberger opened up the hood to this car and gave us a peek inside, THAT ENGINE, is a masterpiece. Love this car. I like the center of the steering wheel. Nice touch. That engine compartment is juicy goodness.
Werd, love it.
this is the one car he owns that ISN'T rusted
What about the Crusher Camaro?
You're a Towel and the superbee
TheDustyaman I kinda forgot about it oops
TheDustyaman and crusher
What about the super bee
the charger in the back, isnt that the one dom drives in the end of furious 7 before he parts with the supra?
Yazan Tuffaha pretty sure, it's called the Maxim charger
KSZ Razor , if i am not wrong , i think i read once that this car was putting out more than 1000 hp, i also remember it had the 68 rear light and man it looked good.
Yazan Tuffaha it's about 2000hp
nope :D but youre very close. its called maximus ;)
Fury ooooh, I forgot about US lol
I remember reading an article about this car in middle school. I'm now a masters student, crazy how time flies.
I have always loved this car since Tom built it, and it's still one of my favorite builds. 1500 hp twin turbo V8 built by NRE and it's ridiculous. This car is an icon for sure.
The F-Bomb and the Maximus Charger. 2 of my favourite muscle cars. Absolutely awesome pieces of machinery
Interesting knowing this guy created the legendary F-Bomb Camaro
That engine install is super clean!
Looks like someone took a sharpie and colored the wheels. If you've ever colored something metal with a sharpie, it's like a chrome-ish black color.
Nick Crawford true 😂
"Maybe someday you'll actually see this thing in an episode of Roadkill"
When they actually release an episode of Roadkill that is...
Not gonna happen
lol, what a sleeper car...love those manifolds and turbos
Accuracy Marked ya definitely not a sleeper by any means
turbos gonna give it away. Expect a potential 8second car. You want a sleeper, hidden nitrous is the way to go. Make it look like an original 307 camaro
also not a sleeper cause its been in fucking fast n furious soooooo
The F-Bomb one of my fav cars of all time. I followed every minute of this build. Knew the power-slip was not going to work. This car was my screen saver for may years. And yes it deserves an 8 second time slip.
Can road kill come back it was my fav
Snyder Live ! it didn't go anywhere
I want it on UA-cam
Not demand
Snyder Live ! it is on UA-cam
But it says the last episode is with mighty car mods
As soon as the on-demand came out, I knew the youtube channel would suffer. No recent road kill episodes here. Oh well, all good things come to an end.
Still waitin' for the 8 track to come back.....
...and maybe someday we will actually see a new episode of roadkill
Daniel Maia I heard it's coming out for 2020 😂
There was a new episode at the end of January and the newest one is on UA-cam this week I believe. With motor trend on demand you get new episodes a month earlier than UA-cam, that's it.
Stacey Renner then where is the fucking video.
It's out on the 24th, my bad.
So basically they are saying "pay for our shit or well make you suffer"
I swear this car was at the good guys show in bowling Green last fall.
This cars engine was the inspiration for my Twin Procharged Camaro. 406 ci Dart SBC with AFR 245 heads, JE Forged dished Pistons, Dragon Slayer Crank and so on.... Thanks to Tom Nelson for revealing the build specs!
The F bomb will never be on a Roadkill episode because its reliable :D
Remember those really cool shows that used to be on called Roadkill and Hot Rod Garage?
Hotrod Garage will return on March 23rd. Roadkill will return on March 24th.
A full roadkill episode of trying to get this car to run 8s would be dope.
Good stuff Dave. Good information. Good video. I had known of the F Bomb's existence but didn't know anything else about it. Now I do. Thanks.
You have the gift of the gab - I wish I could talk non-stop and still sound interesting like you do. However, just remember to take a breath every now and then, lol.
My favorite car in your collection. The thing is just badass.
"It idles like a 400 hp stocker"
I wish I had a stock car that had 400 hp. Shoot... I wish my modified car had 400 hp.
I know this is an old video. What a gorgeous setup. 4000lbs? ! I love your vision and contribution to the automotive community Freiberger. I’m assuming your car collection will be part of your retirement plan one day. These iconic builds sure are fun. Thanks for what you do.

I want an actual episode of this car! I remember reading about this car way back in the day
his sandals matches with those rims 😂
hey? in road kills intro, what kind of engine is that, that cranks and dies? i think it sounds like an old dodge with a slant 6 225, what do you people think ??
Love the channel bud
More Roadkill please! I'm hyped every since I bought a magazine with the Stubby Bob episode in it :D
Thanks for the wrap up on the f bomb buddy! I think i remember seeing it last on when you guys built the jeeprod! ✌️
This is not RoadKill. Just David talking about the F-bomb.
Attila Hunrunner thats why it says Roadkill 'extra'.. its a whole separate channel to RK
This needed to be on a roadkill episode.
Cool to see this car again. I remember seeing it when it was featured in hotrod. I gotta say the car just looks legit. That engine just looks so comfortable in there. Be nice to just see the car finished.
I love how this video is about an American Muscle car, but there is a Lamborghini Diablo in the background.
hmm it's been 1month and where's the next roadkill?
maybe they dont remember to upload in youtube😂
They take a few weeks of every year, usually january or febuary i think, thats why there was not roadkill.
jordan lim March 25
I'd hope they were more consistent w shows. I pay 5 bucks a month to watch roadkill.
It doesn't matter if the take a few weeks off. The episodes are already made. All they have to do is post it but the want us to pay now.
I swear we better get 2 roadkill episodes back to back.
My favorite Camero of all time
I would love to see a episode of roadkill with David and Steve do dragweek in the F-Bomb.
had a 73 split bumper with 66 corvette 350 horse, it was green
Thanks for this episode. I had no idea the F-bomb was that sorted out.
It was on fast and furious 4 almost at the end
(Where dom kills phenix)
Yes in the pack of cars before they enter the tunnels
Humberto Rubio One of the last decent F&F movies.
+anthony lach first of the crappy ones
Leofred Yea it was. Kind of like the middle ground.
wow spoiler alert
I will never know how you know so much David !
Wow! When you opened the hood I had a flashback to a Nova sleeper with dog dish hubcaps, Mexican blanket upholstery, and totally hidden roll cage that I saw and lusted after in some magazine years ago... I think the engine was made by the same guy? I'd like to see that car again!
Ira Amerson I remember the Nova your talking about. Twin turbo LS1. Bad ass Nova.
I would LOVE to see the F Bomb on an episode of Roadkill!!!!!
Sad reality for such a cool car. It should be enjoyed more.
I love it
please do drag week with this
2:02 , that ghost on the roller door
that motor is crazy
the engine compartment is pure art
very good taste in mods. looks well sorted out.
That is one of the coolest Camaros in the world.
It stands out in a field crowded with a lot of cool cars, but it's an original take and it's Badass.

Cool car but nothing cool about a bomb when you consider how many civilians were killed by those bombs
Awesome car David....
“Tom Hardcore Nelson”!! Too Cool man
Freiberger i could binge on your knowledge!!☝👌
Cool car...please show more on that late 40's / 50's era pickup back there in the background.
You guys killed such a good thing.
They should take that up to Alaska on the ice track that would be a killer episode
Then you could tune it for racing so it leans
I actually painted my bike chopper like this thing after I saw it. I fucking love it
Excellent as always!
that hood alignment is killing me
This car is a dream for me I would love to own this car OMG.
We need to see this in road kill again
Two things first more Roadkill!!! Two that engine compartment is a work of beautiful art and yeah Army green!
remember back in they olden days when there was only roadkill and it was free
finally a roadkill extra about the f bomb =)
❤ the paint job!!:)
And a late Diablo in the background?!
whats the best street tires for long drives
wow. the disco nova. I forgot all about that build. I got couple issues of that build somewhere
david, I am a super fan back to your broken ankle at surprise canon. i figured this car was gone. often thought about it and even saw a few copies. kinda hoped for more nice shit in roadkill
That engine bay is a work of art. Holy moly they did a good job. ...so where did you add your personal ziptie touch?
That Diablo in the background at 4:36 is a rare late model AWD variant from when Audi took over Lamborghini, it's a costumer car, and Tom has literally had it in his shop since early 2011. Almost 2 months with no roadkill! I'm dying!
At 4:43 isn't it Twin Turbo NRE Diablo in the backround?
Bracket race, this against the Blasphemi for drag week. That'd be an awesome episode of Roadkill.
hi david freiburger i have a 76 im restoring and was wondering if there was any dementions and or how you made the lower part of your dash cause the stock one does look like and afterthought haha thanks in advance
that 406 sounds awesome. sooooo when's it gettin LS power?
this car was ahead of its time. they built it before second gen camaros and od green were cool.
Hey roadkill! superspeeder Rob is having a race and I think your general mayhem would be a worthy adversary.
You guys are my fav UA-camrs
Maximus chillin on the side over there
I'm in love with your car. Everything about that car is beautiful
That is the color scheme I wanted to paint my car - I guess it would have looked as good as I thought it would.
Where did you mount the intercoolers? I'm guessing in front of the radiator.
That Brakes are you using that will fit behind a 15 inch rim?
Thanks, Dad.
I love it, awesome car. Greetings from Costa Rica.
Now do the charger in the background, that thing is a with of art.
UA-cam asked me to insert a quarter into my phone to see this _free_ episode
Nice ride! It's one of the few cars that look good with black wheels. You need a rally sport front end.
Love the color but can you tell what type paint job is it? Is is satin, matte, or something..?
