Music is such a massive part of the game. Diablo 1 and 2 music sets the tone and atmosphere for the game. The first few chords of the Tristram theme, the low droning hum of the rogue encampment. Absolutely masterful soundtracks by Matt Uelmen. I can play any song from any of the soundtracks and instantly have a memory or nostalgia. Let's hope D4 picks up where 1 and 2 left off and give us some atmosphere.
1, moreso than 2. D1 gave you a serious sense of hopeless dreariness that sucked the life out of you, but in a good way. The mystery of the game plus the music gave D1 10/10 atmosphere that almost no other game has captured to this day in the ARPG genre, D2 included. It's super annoying that the first game set the bar so high, but even more annoying that nobody has every quite reached that pinnacle again.
@@bobby45825 Fate: undiscovered realms did for me
The soundtrack for that game is legendary and iconic
D4 did very well in terms of the design of the zone you got to play Fractured peaks and the music was very good.. The only complaint I had was sorcs were VERY over tuned and some of the dg bosses being the same but, I mean after playing D2 for xx years killing the same boss does not really bother me too much.
the soundtrack in Kyovashad is SO dramatic. truly a gorgeous score.
Nerrrp. Didn’t happen. Drag of a Diablo game. I dare say immortal is more fun than Diablo 4.

the dungeon system bothered me the most. it felt repetitive. I hope they add some tiered mechanics and randomness to these dungeons, where it feels like you have the chance at something VERY worthwhile. edit: I found The Butcher twice, at random, in my venture, and this was something cool. they need more of it.
I found the butcher also. He fucked me up good.
Nightmare sigils, wasn't useable in the beta
@@qNa87 that doesnt change the backtracking you have to do all the time in dungeons. but they wont change anything, since i am pretty sure almost everyone that played endgame beta gave a feedback about dungeons not feeling good and backtracking not being fun. they only thing that they might have changed is that dungeons now all have a bosses, which wasnt the case. but often its even the same boss in different dungeons.
I got what u saying but it sounds funny when all we do currently in D2R is killing mobs like Pindle, Councils, Mephisto etc that have zero to none mechanics and with the exact same layout for the last 20+ years :D
@@M4RTN11 right, but d2r is over 20 years old, and path of exile is 10 years old, and poe has a better mapping system than diablo 4 at this point
Love the Octopath Traveler shoutout. Absolutely a master class in a dynamic, heart-pumping score that transitions seamlessly.
Man I'm playing Octopath 2 right now and to have my two favourite games in the same video is something
Adding team PVP would be dope! There could so many fun combos that you could experiment with. You could also level up as a team and have a ranking system in place.
They obviously used Diablo immortal as a testing ground for Diablo 4 I am 90% certain that they will have all of the above like they do in Diablo immortal we'll just have the nice added benefit of having true open world PVP
like in the early times of wow (until lich k). would be amazing
I appreciate the fact that even though Cooley may want different things than myself in an ARPG, i.e., free trade and PVP, he is still able to provide a nuanced and thoughtful opinion. A breath of fresh air compared to the surprisingly polarized forums and subreddits for this game.
I was surprised to hear you say that the skill tree was too complicated. Most complaints I've heard have been about an oversimplified skill tree. Personally, I do feel the skill tree is a little simple, but the interactions with gear and legendary effects makes it interesting enough for the time being. I do hope seasons add more, but we'll see.
Overall I've thoroughly enjoyed the beta and I'm looking forward to release. I may not play it forever and always but I'll definitely get more juice out of it than any other AAA title.
Yeah your never going to please everyone, it's just about finding that sweet spot where everyone is pleased enough.
@@nathr7375 there is no sweet spot with this game, it's just bad
@@nibelungvalesti I'll wait until I play the finished product to make a judgement.
@@nibelungvalesti nah
I wouldn't mind only have 2 choices per skill if both choices were interesting and impactful.
it breaks my heart.. it really does.. - THAT SO MANY CONTENT CREATORS HAVENT PLAYED DIABLO 1!!! MISSING SO MANY EASTER EGGS!!!!
which ones? i played d1 many times, only thing i noticed is the butcher, but i havent played the game myself yet, just watched the streams.
Diablo 1 also had some cut content that were added in Diablo 2 such as Izual, Andariel or Orazon's sanctum, the more you know.
Loved the video. I agree with pretty much everything you said. Other than the queue times in the first day or so the only major issue i had was trying to leave the main town out of the east gate/bridge. Sometimes ran into an "invisible wall" so to speak and had to teleport back to town and try again to be able to leave. My computer handled the game very well and it looked awesome. Loved the cut scenes and the story and im looking forward to the rest of the game. Hope to see you all in there when it releases.
I also ran into that problem.
@@timthompson9246 I had also the same problem. I guess it is when the computer is loading the data of the zone we want to go in . Not sure so ...
Look at your "materials and stats" on your character page. As you mouse over different stats like Armor Contribution for instance there are references to pvp, which is a good sign. Also terms like "capped vs other players" and stuff is used, so I feel pretty confident we're going to see some pvp.
I think its a better successor than d3 was so far, but really I guess only time will tell
They wont do it. I think blizz is trying to set up an easy straight to console franchise like call of duty. Where they just pump out the same easy to make game every year and get the easy sales. People will buy call of duty 14 because its call of duty. Blizzard has been quickly changing their model to fit this style for a while now. Its ez money for them but it definitely shows in their lackluster games.
@@monitorlizard9971No this is a game they want to last to milk seasons with season pass etc. This is never gonna be a yearly franchise. I do understand what you mean though and COD is a joke.
@@messiahshow not yearly specifically. Even cod isnt always yearly. I stand by my point. This isnt even diablo. Its like a run of the mill console game you find in a clearence bucket at walmart. I think this is what they want though. Cant make legendary games, so they wana make a fast selling game that goes in the bin after coach console players play around with it for a couple weeks. Blzz has been going in this direction ever since actvn.
It’s bar far already a better successor and we’ve only been given 20% of the content.
You say that like it's a hard task
nothing will ever remove the D3 feeling out of D4 i'm sorry, they screwed up bigly
Props to you cooley for talking about the OST and how it transitions.
I had no idea Cooley was a video game music guy. Guys like us got laughed at so hard growing up lol. Now it’s cool.
Grim Dawn - Crucible mode is exactly what you described @ 6:42 .... complete wave after waves of monsters until killing the final bosses or dying first, BUT after a set amount of waves you can choose to keep going and claim the current rewards or fight further and risk losing it all or finding better stuff.
The skill tree. I want to see more of it at once. I rly dislike to have to pull the map around when im just trying to overview.
The arrow on the left of the menu allows you to expand to full view.
I had to tell someone these too people don't notice it for some reason. It's big and red ha

@@devilcorpsdoc I had NO IDEA of this arrow. xD Thank you. Somehow my brain decided to not view it.
@@Noxx340 wow how did I play all weekend and never once notice that arrow... 😅
Surprised you didn’t mention the 6 skill limitation. I also wish there were passives in the tree to toggle on/off (like grim dawn).
For skill tree, did you press S and bring the all skill menu to pop up lol? It shows all the skill in a little square box
well played. I played rogue, switched between rapid fire cold for bosses and puncture arrow with vulnerable/ shadow damage. We conquered this beta with the boys, Killed the world boss, all legendary gear, all quests completed etc.
The dungeons were a bit repetitive. The towns lacked memorable NPCs/ themes except for the very first one. There are a few other nitpicks like UI. Overall it was pretty fun and I hope the endgame and PvP shape it into something worthwhile
The private invite only end game beta a few months ago had the whole map available, it was awesome.
As somebody that was a part of the endgame beta testing a couple months ago, the only thing I have concerned about PVP is the damage for sure certain builds will be overpowered. I had a Barb build 86lvl in the endgame beta. That could one tap most of the mobs.I was doing anywhere from 13 to 16 k crits and most people only had 3k to 10 k health. And my thought is they'll have to change the percentage of damage for certain abilities to make it more balanced for PVP. But hopefully they'll keep the one shot potential for solo play
nail on the head. my main gripe is how close the isometric camera is to the player. it feels a little cramped in my opinion. just give us a slider or let the mouse wheel scale up. /shrug
Agreed. I felt the same way
As an Apha tester last year, If you’re wondering how the pvp (fields of hatred) mechanics. Basically you can come in the field as 4 player party or Free for all deathmatch. Purifying red gems or orbs (can be obtain from killing players or monsters inside the FoH) will notify nearby players so they can kill you and steal your red gems. The red gems are currency in the pvp npc vendor where you can trade them for cosmetics or random legendary item (similar to kadala). Let me know if you guys need to know more about it.
Did it feel good or na
@@ChaseHub its alright. Basically an end game content, but if you don’t enjoy you don’t have to pvp. And you won’t miss any content.
I too thought the inventory AI felt off artistically. I understand for console they need to trash the Tetris style inventory so I’m not going to complain about that. But the item icons still looked a bit cartoony like D3 inventory items, so I wish those were cleaned up a bit. The skill tree was also overwhelming, maybe because I only ever looked at it in the half-screen mode.
I... assume you mean "inventory UI artistically" because otherwise I am very confused.
Will there also be the option to have „non-seasonal“ characters which are not deleted after 3 months?
Really hope you guys can help me 🙏
thanks for the video as usual. what would you think of a "bind on equip" system for legendaries? they can be traded until someone equips it once and then it is bound?
Isnt that the current way trading rares works?
The game is looking alright, albeit a couple things like the interface appearance. Yes, give it a darker, gothic feel... right now it looks like I toggled Dark Mode in Excel.
And you hit the nail on the head with the impact an OST can carry, especially with that Octopath transition segment. Couldn't have put it better myself!
the graphics look cheaply done - like it was done from a grade 3 student.
Lol that's a perfect analogy. Arial font in Diablo
It is how I like to put it , a very corporate looking game.
@@adamtajhassam9188 graphics definitely aren't optimized - a great looking game can be taxing on a system but it should be consistent and not crashing. It also doesn't appear as dark and horror as was hoping for, looks cartoonish like D3 yet. Cartoony isn't bad either, but Torchlight is better suited for it.
Still not sold on it... wait till full game is released and see what players have to say.
The skill tree was clunky to me. I felt like I had to do some searching for key words that aren't explained clearly. I played Barbarian and finding out what 'beserking' is or how it activates wasn't obvious to me.
I also loathed the process of respeccing at higher levels. Want to swap out your first tier skill for another? Sorry, gonna have to reselect *all* your later skills so that it doesn't break your chain to higher level skills. That was woefully done IMO. It's trying to be both D3 an D2 at the same time with the way skill allocations work. Perhaps this'll matter less once the game gets 'solved', but I have to say, for someone just experimenting with all the skills, it was an absolute pain in the ass.
Eh, I agree with the chain being broken. But I think thats when you have to do a full respec. I think the one per click is only if you feel like you messed up on recent investments.
Was the Beta Skilltree really the whole tree we get in the full release? It felt kinda small. You have a knot with 4 to 6 skills and choose the one you'd like to try. Next knot is the same with some passives sometimes. Not really overwhelming.
The dungeons did feel repetitive especially if you went for them to get the legendary traits first and then later you discover sidequests that make you visit the same dungeons again to fetch items in them. It didn't feel dynamic. I mean, why do I need to have a quest first to find a book in a big shiny chest? Without the quest the chest is there too and you can open it but there is nothing inside. Why don't just drop the book even if I don't know what to do with it. But it's a book in a shiny chest, might be worth something. Just take it with me and let me find the guy who wants the book later.
A thing that I really liked were the random events on the worldmap. They reminded my of the Guild Wars 2 events. Just go for it and help strangers finish the event and get loot for it even if you are not in a group together.
I also liked the chain sidequests. You finish a sidequest that leads to another sidequest with the same NPCs involved. That felt like little stories in the big world and helped to bring it to live.
Thanks for your review.
I have a i9-12900, rtx 3080, 64gb ddr5 with fast nvme ssd. I experienced some stuttering loading in to areas. Don't know if it's just down to an unoptimized beta or if my computer really will struggle with the game come release. It plays fine though once it gets past that. I can only imagine what kind of computer you'd need to stream this game.
I dont think it's your computer, bro 😂
I have (basically) the same setup and experienced the exact same issues. Did you also notice that if you tabbed out and did literally anything that the game would stutter even hard for several minutes once you hop back in?

Def alot to be added/polished in the next 2 months. But first impression I really liked the skill builds, I found a couple that sucked,a couple that rocked.. but there was no shortage of variety and esp once the legendary/ + skill gear started to drop.
this aint never gonna get any better than it already is lol
@@LuLingqi101 clown comment of the day. No copium the first act and begging builds of the game was great. Still alot to be added as the full areas open, and every game when being stability tested isn't doesn't have the full package of graphic layers added onto the game.
.. side note the only thing blizz could "F" up at this point is not having PVP on day one. They said there was only cosmetic rewards, therefore balance issues have 0 relevance on launch.
it may not fill the D2 void, but I am sure as hell having a lot of fun with it!

agreed. once I accepted that it's just a completely different feeling game from D2 (and won't be a direct replacement), I started to enjoy it more and more
Well said Coooley. I think so far it is pretty good. I would like to have tested pvp and do like the cheap reskill point cost and hope it stays that way. Sorc damage is insane out of the classes that was available. But I liked it overall I'll pre order.

@@BG1435q yeah it looks good that's about it. dungeons are super boring and have the exact same game play get 2 things to open boss door, kill boss. Having D3 flashbacks watching game play of D4, and not liking it
Agree 💯 on the inventory looking like crap and done without much thought (other than to make it super bare bones, say for console). One of the things I really like about D2 is how (the Tetris aside) items feel like they have some appropriate weight as you pick up and drop them (and the way they drop + the sound effects are so visceral). I think D4 should make the inventory at least look much more immersive & presentable.
all items had a good looking vibe, now even with better graphics it s just a millions same looking items with big cross on it. I would cry if i was a stuff designer for D4 ^^
@8:50 hahaha. The lazy fade transition was gold
The balance between Solo-Self Found and Trade would need to be absolutely extreme in order to make it worth it to play SSF.
Like, something like getting 10x more item drops than a trade character.
Otherwise it will always be better to just have the ability to trade the exact item you want/need.
What? There's no need for any balance between SSF and trade. SSF is a challenge mode / self-imposed handicap, it's supposed to be harder to acquire items than with trade. That's the entire point.
It's like you're saying we should make hardcore mode "balanced" with softcore by making it 10x harder to die in HC. Otherwise it will always be better to play softcore. No shit.
@@doryfishie2 Maybe watch the video before answering comments, hehe. Coooley suggests having a system where SSF and trade players play together, in the same league. You can select trade and get less loot, or SSF and get more loot.
I'm saying the balance will need to be extreme for it to be worth going SSF over trade, because the advantage of being able to get the one item you need for your build is huge.
I see you're playing a rogue, if you get the time before beta ends tomorrow, try puncture + flurry with dash, shadowstep, shadow imbuement and shadow clone.
It's so fast and plays great with a lot of the rogue legendaries.
Will the game on consoles have all of the same features as the pc version?
Great content. Cheers Coooley.
I played a Pure Melee Rogue with Shadow damage and honestly I enjoyed the game. My main concerns were the repetitive dungeon quests and some un-skippable character dialogue. Aside from that the gameplay was extremely responsive and the sound fx/particle fx really brought the combat to life. I'm excited for the June release so I can customize further with the Paragon board and the Unique items you can get in later difficulty stages.
all character dialogue are skippable, but there is a bug that remove the skip option, just click on another windows then click back to the game
I agree with all of that but the dialogue was definitely always skippable. On PS5 you could either skip line by line with X or completely skip the 'cutscene' on all those moments with O. Sometimes I would be into the story, other times I just wanted to skip and kill shit etc.
@@zakblue there are some where you have to follow some slow npcs before you could even talk to them.
@@IndieProgressPlaysDiablo oh yeah like escort quests? I hate those
@@zakblue Yeah or even the quest in the basement with the demonic kid. you kill the monster then wait a while for him to move around before you can speak to the npc to advance the quest. I'm nitpicking, as this was only like 3/30 quests for me.
If these little talent trees are too complex, just wait until level 50 and you unlock paragon boards :P Path of exile levels of trees. You can rotate the boards too like a puzzle and fit them where you want them.
Cooley, you pre-ordering? If so which version you getting?
I agree, its alright. Played to level 22 and can't say I'm super excited for launch but will probably still be a buy for me.
Few things that come to my mind:
- not been able to unlock lvl15 barbarian quest is a pity
- all zones we could visit so far look too similar: empty field or caverns of snow and mud
- overall my experience with the sorceress felt much smoother than with barbarian and rogue, maybe a balance problem ?
- queueing issues at beta launch is not ok since they know precisely how many people pre-ordered the game
- sometime the areas feel a bit empty and repetitive
Overall i am still hyped and will probably lvl up Necromancer and Druid next weekend :)
They don't know how many people bought chicken sandwiches from KFC though
basically you can trade the best item bases (rare items) in the game, but you still have to farm the legendary affix's and get the high rolls you want to then use on these god roll bases
Never thought a font in a video game would bother me but it definitely does!
I didnt play the beta but some of the gameplay ive seen it still has a d3 feel to it with colorful area's and monsters. The beginning of the game looks really good tho
Doesn't sound like you watched d4 beta, there's literally no colorful areas, it's all dark , dingey , dirty, and horrifying.

The whole point of limit in trading is to prevent RMT which leads to hacked accounts and bots being a thing in D3 when the auction house was still active
that stupid D3 UI really turn me off and is a total deal breaker for me.
Went for a rogue like a true sport! :D
Did the same myself! In the end i was able to assemble a build which with the help of a few legendary powers absolutely obliterates monster packs with layers of aoe damage :D
The game turned out better than i expected, at least at this stage, i hope they add dungeon variety and introduce some more endgame things to do aand pvp! :D
As far as Exocet goes. GOOD POINT! Also a bit offtopic but there is also a font called "Diablo" that is very similar to Exocet but a little bit different in terms of letter scaling, i believe it's fan made. that might be helpful for other creators out there.
Grats, you played the character that 90% of people in the game are playing aka first class to get nerfed to the ground
They need to fix the zoom in camra Angle
camera angle is wrong regardless. should be like 15-20 degrees lower. it is too top down.
There was a pvp option once you activate your wheel but it was locked since it was only beta
10:55 I did notice the music totally disappeared in dungeons. Which was kinda sad and I hope that's just unfinished.
100% agree, the drop rate of legendary items was so high. A nonsense for a "restreicted" trade if you can farm the pasive you want in a day or two
The thing is though that it looks like you'll just be able to do the dungeon which has the Legendary Passive you want and then slap that on a really good rare anyways
And it doesn't look like any other passive is restricted to Legendaries only, as I got many Rares with bonuses to skill levels and stats
Hey man, i noticed on a lot of your videos that the audio is really wonky and difficult to listen to when using any decent headphones, could be mic placement

@@reagindoerindo4311 thanks! I couldn't remember what the shortcut was and can't log into the game to check lol
dont know if someone already commented it, but you can make every rare a "legendary" by applying an extracted unique affix on that rare. So maybe uniques itself dont need to be tradable as long as you have one of the needed unique affixes in your stash.
My understanding for rares being best in slot endgame is: Legendaries are great at this point in the game but their unique modifiers get stripped and added to a pool that you can then attach to rares. My assumption is rares will provide better bases so a great rare base with a legendary mod added will be better than any legendary that can drop endgame. I had a lot of fun hunting legendary modifiers in both D3 and Immortal so I am looking forward to filling that out in D4.
I am mostly curious as to how they plan to make uniques and set items stand out.
I am curious; do you know whether adding these unique modifiers to a rare base cause the item to become account/character bound?
@@coreysayre1376 Beta ends in about an hour in my timezone. Just tested it using an aspect (legendary powers you can strip from items) and it changed the tradable rare into an untradeable legendary when I applied it to the rare.
I imagine it will be the same with the Codex of Power (legendary powers obtained through dungeons) but I don't have enough of the mat needed to apply one.
Aspects themselves are an item in your inventory once you strip them and are non-tradable. Codex of Powers seem account bound (not even an item) so they can't be tradable.
@@nodieza Thanks for the info.
Some things:
- The stronger Packs should have more visible Auras/colors.
- The zoom-out factor is still too close in my opinion.
- And yes, the inventory looks ass. Looks like a mobile Game. No immersion whatsoever.
- Global World-Boss-Party-Search-Button
- More epic animations for the sorc. Meteor for example looks so lame.
But overall, its a great Game so far and I had much fun playing it in Beta.
Tbh it was so nice to hear that at least rare items can be traded (hope they make rest of them too) If they add pvp will buy this 100% sure!
I love the music and bleak despair that washes a world that has been wrecked by Malthiel. Good story bones.
I want offline/ single player mode so random people don't pop up to fight baddies, but that isn't the game design direction... there is just something odd about fighting a demon in the bleak wastes only to have deeznuds and tiddygod23 show up out of no where to help. Breaks the immersion of the game for me a bit.
I'm super mixed so far. I'm not a huge fan of emotes 4 buffs. And some of the abilities feel like they need tuned.
The scaling zones can make things annoying if you don't get drops to keep up. Not big on trading.
That lazy fade to black was perfect, nice touch ahah
My computer is 10 years old running with an Nvidia GTX680, and had zero problems with the game, did get kicked a couple of times but i think that was more the game it self when we were all struggling to get in the game. I do have 32gb of ram though so that does help
I got a 5600x, 32GB RAM and a RTX 3070 ti and I had to run it on medium, otherwise it was a lag fest.
That video ending is so funny! I had to rewatch it a few times. Hahahaha😂
I enjoyed the game so far, my main issues: repetitive dungeons, itemizations, and left click mouse button being: basic skill and loot and interact and movement or only movement. Need to be improved
I surprisingly had no crashes. I had to restart twice when trying to join but that's it.
Auras, bo, enchant, pre buff's in d4 ?
i feel like the character pane and chat should be customizable like Dragonflight, id like it to the left side of the screen tbh.
about mobility. teleport seems to be unavoidable for pvp because it's not teleport but blink - it gets you out of stun, freeze etc (not sure about fear)
its crashes.. and it lags like shit. i have 2060. I run ff7 remake buttery smooth and fortnite... wtf.
I think it's much better that items are pulled out of the market by binding them to account.
Rares being the best items in the game, but having to be upgraded to legendary to make them actually BiS is a good mechanism to keep the market fresh.
The first shako of ladder is huge, the 10,000'th shako of ladder is almost worthless as everyone has a bunch.
Pulling items out of the system keeps the market flowing.
As long as an upgraded rare remains BiS, this system is good.
I like it too. It's like d2 runewords meets d3 kanai's cube. Finding bases is gonna be the center of trades now and its gonna be an interesting change in dynamics.
Is It Just me that finds the way the characters move kinda off? like the torso does not move, and there is a lot of draging the character tô the sides without the feet moving also. Idk, feels strange. Even compared to immortal
Agreed there’s a strange smoothness to everything. Doesn’t feel…realistic or palpable. Hard to explain
Appreciate hearing your perspective. You have to be the first person I've heard ask for a simpler skill tree. Cant say I agree but good reminder that Reddit and UA-cam can be an echo chamber
Inventory needs to feel runic and the FONT needs to change.
i could also trade a legendary, but the person was in the same area as me when it drop and i gave it to him. every legendary i got before he was around i could not trade.
I just hope the dueling or PvP in D4 can be more tactical instead of testing who teleports better and faster.
0:41 didn't rares also used to be best in slot in D3? At the end of the day, (like you said) they became completely powercrept by legendaries and set items. I can't imagine that this mechanic of only being able to trade up to rares will age well...
More or less, yes. There were a few Legendaries worth using because they had stats that normally weren't on that slot, and OG Nat's was absolutely broken with it's 4 piece Discipline regen.
Can I get one diablo game where the sorc isnt everyone's main for the entire lifetime of the game because its OP
Right. Started on Rogue. Playing sorc was night and day.
cos sorcs have always been the best fun :) barbs are super fun and OP asf
I don't know if any one has already said this but some legendary items were not account bound and you could trade them.
I'll be honest, my biggest complaint is that it literally just doesn't look fun. It looks like D3 but someone dropped a grain filter over all the textures. Maybe it's an impossible ask to compete with D2. But nothing about anything I see in the beta footage has me the least bit excited.
Agreed
Things I liked
1. The story, It kept me wanting to play.
2. Combat, I like there was a mix of big groups in dungeons and scattered in open world. Makes every fight feel worth it to me not just 1 shotting everything.
3. The overall feel of size in the game. There were so many areas t oexplore just in A1.
Things I didnt like.
1. The ui especially the skill tree. Just seemed clunky but I expect this to change.
2. Kinda falls under the ui but no overlay map. I hated having to open my my map up constantly.
Nice shoutout to Octopath Traveler. That game’s score is honestly one of the best in all of games.
Couldn't agree more. It was FIRST thing I fell in LOVE with while playing that game... Therion's home town music did it for me.
I personally loved not having to play Inventory Tetris. I have no idea how that is a criticism when everyone in every other Diablo game asks for more stash space and inventory space and stacking constantly.
Coooly, you have the heart and swag of a true firebender. Feel free to visit the fire nation anytime.
I'm a stubborn SSF guy couldn't care less about trade, but I have nothing against the "Last Epoch solution", probably best of both world.
i played with friends n we felt zero to trade or give each other anything at all. too early to tell atm
Agreed with all the above. Additionally i noticed a lack of distinct sounds in game, such as tp scrolls dropping/opening, moving items in general as well as distinct sounds for skills themselves. Felt muted.
Another gripe which could be part of the character ui or similar is the quest screen. Seems very generic MMO or similar without much flair. Fine for some, like the inventory, but disappointing to me.
Game seems fine but won't take away my love for D2.
Finally someone that notice that as well, I hear so many praise the sound but it's not great. Soft and muted and many bad sounds on skills in general with no power and impact.
If respec'ing is always tied to gold, I think it getting more and more expensive is fine. Having a gold sink in the game is somewhat needed, especially if there won't be a gheed or someone similar.
you tapped into something about the music at the end, there's a lot of little details that are overlooked in modern video game development that probably got a lot more attention in old games due to limitations graphically.
Now graphics are so amazing and take so much focus that they'll crash your computer, but fine details in the game structure are sloppy.
It would of been better if they added a closer zoom in, to see the graphics in a different way or a different view mode would of made it feel more modern.
Stating the audio transition fade out being lazy, and then literally fading out your transition to end that note was tongue n cheek gold.
There are also Unique items to my understanding that are better than legendaries and also can be used to completely change your skills. So I think if Uniques are not for trade but legendaries are would be nice. so you have to farm for your Uniques but can trade also good legs with nice stats. I have the feeling many streamers forgot completely that there are Uniques items. really good video i will stay with you for D4
can we trade runes ?
i loled on that font, they have cool font on d2, dunno why they drop it for normal looking one going forward.
if you think the D4 skill twig is too complicated, you're going to have a bad time at 50 w/ the paragon skill system
ya know somethin coooley... ive been a follower of your channel and other diablo (2) content creators and was a lover of diablo 2 back in the day when it first came out (im prob your age, it was highschool) -- but have not really been a gamer for years... i dont know what all it is but i know you are a big part of me deciding to go get a windows pc and get back into it. could be nostalgia. could be the excitement around diablo iv's launch. could be, and probably most of it is, due to just my general isolation as a person existing in the hellscape consumerist orgy dystopia that is present day america. surely its a nice happy combination but, i think a lot of it has to do with you and the community's efforts on platforms like youtube. your videos always brighten my day even if its only marginally and i have to say i am really looking forward to playing this one and i hope to cross your path. till then thanks for the fun content and for constantly reminding me of the late nights and innocent fun i used to have with one of my best friends all those years ago - keep it spicy my brother!
Couldn't agree more about the Importance of music in a video game ,should bever be an after thought its crucial to immersion and leaving a lasting impression 👍
