He must have had warning signs especially since he told his friends how much he wanted to do this to someone and how much he planned this all out. I think of the feelings he must have had leading up to it, it is so evil I cannot even comprehend. That poor little girl.... 😢
I love how She makes herself and the devil the victims. “Please, Please don’t take him away from his family forever!” As of this young girl he murdered will be back in 10 years or so!!
If my grandchild did anything remotely like what Aiden F did to another person, I would not and could not stand up and ask for leniency. I find it, especially in this case, to be extremely selfish. Listening to Tristyn’s family’s impact statements would definitely confirm my decision.
I absolutely agree. She says don't take him out of our lives for ever. Meanwhile, he took Tristan out of her family's lives for ever. Utterly selfish woman. Selfish, selfish, selfish. I'm so annoyed by this.
I think it's a bit disrespectful that she tries to compare the loss and trauma between the families. Even if he is in jail forever, he will still be in their lives. They can call, video chat, mail, and visit him. The Bailey family will never have it again. All they have is an urn to hold and talk to. All they will have is past memories, never able to make new ones.

Or maybe it's just the whirlwhind of emotions she's going through. Either way, she fired up a lot of people in the comment section, that's for sure, lol.
That statement set me off. Her own daughter covered up evidence of her son brutally murdering a little girl, and she has the nerve to say ‘he has a good family’. This woman is just full of word vomit.
@Hurleyj09 Ahh, I didn't know that fact. Its such a mindfuck bc I always try to see it from both sides. I understand a Mothers instinct to protect their child, and I bet more Mothers than wed expect might do this. At the same time, how?? I just can't justify it in my head. My child murders someone it would not even cross my mind to cover it up. The reality of the situation is unchangable. Thinking of other stories where they did this, the Mother was usually what you might call trashy, and maybe his mom was too. I haven't researched this one enough yet.
Debbie, if there's some good in him, then he can work on that in prison. She has 12 grandkids, she must imagine what it would be like if another of her grandchildren had been savagely murdered like this. What would she want to happen to the killer?
No, she may not think of that at all. This gotta be a generational trauma thing...the mother covered, the grandmother has the whole 'everything's lovely' beat down.
The grandmother tried to make their family seem like "good, Christian people" but not only did Aiden's history of behavioral problems and his mother's attempt to cover up his crime indicate otherwise, the grandmother's plea for leniency gives a glimpse of what's wrong with this family. To have the nerve to ask for leniency, to ask that he not be locked up for his entire life when he has completely extinguished the life of another is just jaw dropping. He will at least be alive and they will be able to visit. Unlike the child he murdered.
HE SHOULD GET THE SAME RESPECT HE GAVE THAT YOUNG GIRL WHEN HE MURDERED HER. YOU DONT WANT HIM TO BE TAKEN FROM YOU BUT HE DIDN'T GIVE THE YOUNG GIRLS PARENTS THE SAME OPPORTUNITY. LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE. YOU CAN VISIT HIM BEHIND BARS. AT LEAST YOU CAN SEE HIM THE YOUNG GIRL IS GONE FOREVER.

Hes not even a good kid today either. I understand he comes from a nice home, a nice neighborhood, a mother and father, he somehow managed to get a girlfriend and have friends and he STILL did this. There is no excuse. In the place hes being held, he has gotten into many fights, he is known to other kids there as a bully, he steals from them, manipulates them, beats them. He has been peppered sprayed by the officers there due to his relentless criminal behavior. He only cries for himself. I don't believe in a draconian justice system, I believe in rehabilitation but this kid has no desire to be rehabilitated, to be a good person, to make up for his actions, to feel remorse and empathy. You know his character because of what he did but even more because of his actions after what he did. I do feel sorry for his family, except his mom even though in a way I can see why she washed the pants, losing a child is terrible and parents want to protect and think the best of their child but that doesn't make it right. She knew what he did. Her actions tell me that they let him get away with things he does, they don't want to hold him responsible, they want to be selfish and put themselves over the victim and her family and that is wrong, its cowardly, its reprehensible. Its a shame that as a result of his actions, so many lives have been shattered including his and the people that love him but he could have chosen differently and he didn't. He was a kid with his life in front of him and now hes nothing and there's nobody to blame but himself. He deserves what hes getting and so much more.
I’m trying to have compassion because I get as a grandparent this lady is hurting BUT it just feels inconsiderate to use the specific language of “I’d die to not be able to spend time with him sometime” & “please don’t take him out of our lives forever” how tone-deaf considering there’s a family sitting there WITHOUT the ability to make that request due to the actions of YOUR loved one. He won’t be out of your life ma’am…visit him in prison. Spend time there.
Yeap ...she needs to get a grip on reality and accept the fact that her beloved grandson stabbed a defenceless 13 year old girl to death....thereby taking her away from HER family forever..Tristyns family are the one that will never ever see her grow up...get married..have children...LIVE A FULL LIFE !!!
I agree and see both sides as well. So many comments about this. She's obviously not good with her words, and I imagine if she could see what people are saying, she'd probably realize how terrible this sounded. Such a confusing and emotional ordeal for anyone to be going through, so I lean toward giving her the benefit of the doubt. She did appear genuinely distraught over the death but asking for leaniency and saying she lost a kid too was soo friggin bad. Inconsiderate is the perfect word.
Its all fake. Evil runs through this family. Grandma/Mother/Son!!! If she wasn't titled as a Grandma the backlash would be 100 times worse for her due to her lack of empathy for the victims family. Sickening!!

If anyone misconstrues this woman’s genuine grief for anything less than that, they should be checked. This woman has no say in anything, she is his maternal grandmother. She’s devastated. I applaud her strength to address the Bailey family to convey her condolences in open court. You could see that she was a wreck.
People are always quick to judge the family of a perpetrator and it's often unfair. I agree with you here, she's being sincere. She makes some gaffs but she's prepared for this. I don't think anyone ever would be.
Agree. It's easy to throw stones at an obviously deluded grandmother who loves her kids unconditionally. Of course she would ask for leniency, the poor woman. There are always more than one victim in a crime like this. She is one.
I agree with your comment. I actually started crying listening to his grandmother’s pain and grief. In my opinion, the grandmother’s emotions and words seemed very genuine. I think she feels horrible for what her grandson did and all the pain he has caused.. At the end of the day though, that is still her grandson who she loves very much and was very close to. She cannot turn the love she has for him on and off with a switch. It doesn’t work like that. I really hope people can try and show her some compassion and not be so hateful and mean. We have to remember that there’s only 1 person and 1 person alone who is responsible for taking the life of such a sweet, young, and beautiful soul and that is Aiden Fucci. I am glad he got life in prison and will hopefully never see the outside of a prison for the remainder of his time here on earth. I pray for Tristyn Bailey’s family, that they are able to close this chapter and really start the healing process. I know that they will never be the same and they will never truly be able to find peace and closure, but I pray that they are able to find some sort of happiness again. I hope they lean on one another as a family and that this tragedy brings them even closer together as a family. I cannot begin to imagine what they are going through and I pray to God I never will. ❤
Heartbreaking listening to this grandmother. She's really suffering too. It doesn't seem to make sense why a kid from the family she describes would do something so heinous. That being said, it was her daughter that tried to cover it up.

And "Do u think by letting him go or giving him a lighter sentence is just regardless of stabbing Tristyn Bailey 114 times? Com on defense team!
Imma be honest I don’t think that’s right to say don’t send him away forever. This daughter is gone forever. They will never even get to speak to her. Get a letter from her. Ever see her again. What’s done is done, now he has to serve whatever is handed to him.
I do feel bad for the grandmother because she’s so much in denial on what has happened and doesn’t want to believe that her grandson did this heinous act. It breaks my heart tbh.
She seems like a nice lady. It is not her fault her grandson turned out to be a monster. Sometimes people with the best of home lives still do awful things.
Why, so he can commit the same murder again and take away the life of an innocent young lady? Lock him up and throw away the key, he doesnt even have remorse, stone cold blooded killer.
This isn’t helping Aiden’s case, IMO. Her enormous, entitled blind spot speaks to the entitlement in the family, and would strengthen my resolve as a judge that society needs protection from Aiden for the rest of his natural life. Also, her calling her daughter, a criminal complicit in this murder, a good person, is gobsmacking, and since I think it likely she knows her daughter washed blood out of his jeans, and tried to get him to say on camera in the police interrogation room that he was wearing khakis that night, not jeans, is a lie.

Yea totally in denial,.
His grandmother is an enabler like the mother. So much leniency. My heart goes out to Bailey’s family. ❤
Big time
Yep that whole family is just pure trash.
I know. I've seen it before many times, and it still makes my blood boil. The killer's family is begging for mercy, even though the he's showed none to his victim. They make it sound like Tristyn Bailey's life meant nothing to them.
We are a good Christian family.
If my grandchild did anything remotely like what Aiden F did to another person, I would not and could not stand up and ask for leniency. I find it, especially in this case, to be extremely selfish. Listening to Tristyn’s family’s impact statements would definitely confirm my decision.
Exactly.
Yep
I'm the same !Family or not you pay for your crime and this Murder was horrific !
Wouldn't have been washing his clothes either.
Exactly, like lady this boy butchered this baby girl!!! It's no comparison.
Highly disrespectful. She should just be thankful he gets to live after snuffing out such a young life in such a horrible, deliberate way.
Lol, everyone does!! Fully agree.
I find it extremely disrespectful. I have no doubt that the Baileys would give ANYTHING to be able to visit Tristyn in a prison cell. Fucci’s grandmother still has the ability to see him. Comparing the loss of a child to the imprisonment of her killer is absurd

Furthermore, hasn't it dawned on them that he would have probably killed them too, he obviously chose someone who was similar to his little sister and could do that monstrous evil. Why would they want him home just like before? If my grandkid did something like this I would never forgive them and could never.
“He has a good family” yes, so did tristyn.. seeing her poor family listen to his grandmothers testimony is heartbreaking
They are stronger than me, I might have walked out.
I know her whole angle was very inconsiderate as one person put it. I dont think she's bad or mean. I honestly think she's just not that bright or good with her words.

114 STAB WOUNDS.
114 years in prison would work for me.
132 years, 114 stab wounds plus 3 years of grief each family member might need to endure.
These people are like rabbits.......Where is Darwin when we need him ?
She's a good Christian from a good Christian family, so if someone savagely murdered one of hers, she would totally forgive them. 😄
Grandma acting like Aiden accidentally hit Tristyn with a car or something, he deliberately stabbed the poor girl 114 times..
Unlike the child he murdered.

he's a punk now
That his grandmother you can’t blame her she just trying to be a grandmother she saw him as a good kid.
Absolutely! I felt the same way about Eric Smith in the 90s. Unfortunately, he's a free man now.
I fully agree. She is tone deaf and it even cane across as fake....not true sympathy or empathy for her family.

The nerve of some people
Why, so he can commit the same murder again and take away the life of an innocent young lady? Lock him up and throw away the key, he doesnt even have remorse, stone cold blooded killer.
She should think about the safety of civil society!
Lady your grandson is a monster!
And I now see where he gets the entitled, no responsibility, arrogant attitude. Keep him locked up.
She’s too specific with her answers like no one cares how “good” of a kid he was.
Stabbed 114 times, “has anyone seen Tristan?” Some people are just born psychopaths. He will not change.
Delusion
If she noticed something wrong with Aiden, you certainly won't hear that from her today.
How incredibly tone deaf. Her grandson wasn’t stabbed 114 times. He didn’t die alone in agonizing pain, terrified. This is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen.
I’m disgusted for this grandma asking for mercy and leniency.. Tristan wasn’t given any mercy when she was murdered
So, am I. The grandma made it sound like Tristyn Bailey's life meant nothing.
