It really disgusts me that all the coverage of this case, and this video, uses the killers name in the title while just referring to Tristyn as 'cheerleader'.

The strength Tristyns family had during these statements was amazing. I lost my son in 2012 and I still find it hard not to break down when I talk about him. He was 33 and didn't die by violence. The death of a child, no matter the age, never leaves the parents and siblings. My heart goes out to Trisyns family...

I’m sorry for your loss. I’m in my thirties and my life is horribly sad and filled with chronic pain. I only am still here as I don’t want to do this to my mom. When she is gone, if I am still alive, I am gone too.

My best friend was murdered in her own home when I was a child. She will be ok, but it will consciously impact her life decisions for at least a decade, and she will always have trust issues. 💔🎭

They didn't believe it or take it serious, like who would think someone would actually do that? Those poor children learned that lesson that day! We have to talk to our children and coach them to always take claims and threats to do harm to self or others serious and tell an adult to protect and help that person and would be victims!

I couldn’t help but just sob listening to Tristyn’s mom. My heart hurts for all of her family and friends, you could hear the pain in all of their voices. I hope that Tristyn is now able to rest in peace knowing that the monster who stole her life will never be able to hurt anyone else.

In 1969 two girls, 14 and 15, were murdered by a serial killer. This was a week before the Manson murders. Back then I was 8, and they were older people to me, their little sisters my friends. One of the fathers lived the rest of his life devastated, and not having a happy moment for next 40 years. Now I look at their school photos and they were little kids. This murderer needs to rot in prison. He left destroyed lives that won't forget

Those are some brave friends and family. Sometimes you have to hold it together and do something incredibly uncomfortable like this. As an older sister, I can only imagine the pain and shift in family dynamics that the selfish piece of s*** caused when he stabbed Tristyn. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel that Tristyn's name should be in the title of this video. All too often the victim's names go unknown and forgotten, whereas the perpetrator's names are plastered everywhere and hard to forget. Well done to her family and best friend for their victim impact statements. I know all too well that they are very difficult to get through, but each of them were great. I remember watching this case a year or two ago when this happened. Just so so sad and such a terrible thing done to her. Thank god for modern technology such as cameras, snapchat, and other clues that were left behind and helped solve her murder.
If someone would've taken his threats seriously when he made them, perhaps Trystan would still be with us. I don't know. Maybe not...but he had obvious problems. Hindsight is dismaying.

Nothing is more gut wrenching than to go through the loss of a child, sibling or parent. Especially in such horrific fashion. Unfortunately, I know this all to well. Lost my dad to cancer when I was 10, two brothers to a rare blood disorder shortly before my dads passing. Son to a drunk driver. Every day I live with it. Most days, I barely make it through. A lot of sleepless nights. Only thing you can do for people going through something like this, is to just be there for them. Don't ask if they are fine, most likely they will answer yes, they are not. Just be there for them. Be an open ear for them when they are ready to let loose the emotions, because it will come, no matter what time day or night. Thanks to some old Navy buddies of mine I'm still here.
That poor family, especially Trystan's mother. Who may never again enjoy Mothers Day. Because this selfish monster ripped her life away.

I couldn't help but cry and be in such disbelief that on Mother's Day someone took the life of a beautiful girl who was growing up and had aspirations in life, no day is a good day to take a life of course but Mother's Day is the worst day.. Tristyn cannot be replaced as her life was precious, I hope her energy or consciousness knows she no longer has to suffer and I send my condolences to her family..
