I still dont get why game devs dont team up with modders to bring the best mods as DLC options to consoles, its like Sony wants us to ditch playstation for pcs 😂

Thanks for showcasing this side of the TM community. Hopefully this video can bring attention to another fantastic part of the TM community. Hearty thanks to all the hardworking ppl making mods and other content for arguably one of the most underrated franchises to grace a Sony console.
All of these mods for these TM games are badass really cool. Is there a mod for TM1 yet if not there definitely should be one
and of course Pedro's TM4 Mod made it best one this man deserves a lot of love I shared a lot of love to him I've been talking to him on DM's and I also I been talking to him about Burnout 3 Mods and Game Shark codes 😁

Definitely going to look into these as soon as possible. What I really want to see, though, is an updated roster in Twisted Metal 4. It would be awesome to play through all of the actual cannon characters from 1 through 3 in the TM4 engine. I don't think that would be too difficult because I'm pretty sure TM4 uses the same engine as TM3 in the way that Perfect Dark used the same engine as Goldeneye 007 on the N64. Goldeneye X is a really cool project, which aims to use the advanced features of Perfect Dark's much later engine build for the gameplay and presentation of Goldeneye 007.
We've seen so much cool stuff from the modding community over the past, but especially recently - and especially for 5th and 6th generation console games. I think we're going to see some really huge breakthroughs over the next year or two. The work I've seen so far is so good that I prefer playing these community-driven mods over the latest AAA games. We nailed gameplay, design and art a long time ago, but we didn't have the tech to really put it on full display. Now we do, and these older games are really proving just how timeless they are.

Man. A dream if mine is a modded version of small brawl thats adds more vehicles or levels, such as Yellow Jacket
I still believe that the holy grail of Twisted Metal modding would be adding more cars to the games, to see a version of Small Brawl with the scrapped characters like Grasshopper and other famous TM vehicles be implemented has been my dream for years.
Sadly this something that isn't likely without the source code and proper software to make the content. It's to the point where a ground up remake would be easier.

You're a good dude fir having that man's stuff up there. No doubt, he would appreciate it. I never played any of the modded ones. I messed around with the mods on fallout & Skyrim more then any other game. Mods are a blessing
I can't wait for the Small Brawl mod. Hopefully we can have the boss characters actually replace the nerfed playable bosses, so that we can actually have fun with the characters (and fix the problems that boss Piecemeal has when you have him on a level that's not Now Slaying). I also hope we have like 5 Trappers or 5 Piecemeals during their battles lol.
One thing I don't want to happen is that Piecemeal's specials change to a single weapon. I heard that may happen according to video by Kongdoo, but it would be kinda dumb. I love his versions of specials like Shadow's, it has more homing and does more damage for example. I get that Mime and Piecemeal basically have the same specials, but I like there's a difference between the two characters when they use them. Piecemeal can use anyone's, while Mime can only use who is in the battleground.
So i have no idea what any of these mods do....lol

Are there any Twisted Metal 1 mods? Would love to see a mod that stitches all the maps together into one huge map, like what was originally intended with the game.

I've only played Edgbla's TM2 and 3 hacks so far, and I honestly think they're a decent mixup of a familiar flavor. Though I do think they go a bit overboard with the bosses, just a wee bit. I heard they were working on a Small Brawl mod, but idk if they ever completed or released it.
I talked to the creator of the mod about the difficult boss.

Почему частично? - модификация всё-таки рассчитана на:
1) умелого игрока;
2) совместную игру.
Т.е. вас должно быть двое.
Ничто не мешает вам основательно подготовится к финальной битве, накопить оружие на предыдущих аренах, те же рикошеты, динамиты, турбо.
Грамотно использовать заморозку, продумывать пути отступления и т.д. и т.п. Должен же быть вызов?

I partially agree, I think it will be weakened a little in the next versions.
Why partially? - the modification is still designed for:
1) a skilled player;
2) a joint game.
That is, there should be two of you.
Nothing prevents you from thoroughly preparing for the final battle, accumulating weapons in previous arenas, the same ricochets, dynamites, turbo.
Use freezing wisely, think of escape routes, etc., etc. There must be a challenge, right?

В планах - есть, по факту - времени не хватает. Интересных (и соответственно полезных) отзывов по хаку практически нет, помогать финансово тоже желающих не наблюдается, а посвятить ещё сотни часов к уже потраченным сотням часов на голом энтузиазме не особо получается.

There are plans, but in reality there is not enough time. There are practically no interesting (and therefore useful) reviews of the hack, there are no people willing to help financially either, and devoting hundreds more hours to the hundreds of hours already spent on pure enthusiasm is not really possible.

Nick what setting do you use outside of resolution and widescreen (for TM4)? The texture filtering seems really smooth and the polygons are not twitching.
Whoah, the train at the end is something else! Haloween mod I bet.
What amazes me the most is how Jim Buck programmed the physics in such a way that despite the game having more or less lightspeed physics with the train, you didn't go through the wall! Going out of bounds through terrain has never happened in the game. Which is really funny because other games may be all too happy to forget there was a wall in the first place and killzone you to death lol
A little secret TM2 hack. If you play for Darktooth, then they made a picture for him in the bios.
Do any of these mods make Twisted 2, 3 or 4 so that you can jump with L1 + R1 instead of the button combinations?
I hope all characters from TM 1 to 4 will be on the TM4 mod, and make some online play
Are these mods for console? Have fans tried to port these games to PC themselves? I know TM 1 & 2 have pc ports, but I’ve heard they’re bad.

Been wanting to try PS1 games from childhood again after getting my PS2 controller usb adapter cable a while back, and this seems like a good way.
7:46 Wait, is that a mod or can you make that bridge blow up in base game? For someone with TM4 as either my first or second most played TM game (along with Small Brawl), I'm suprised I never knew about that in base game. Then again, I didn't know about the Carnival Proximity Mine trick until a year ago so I guess I missed more than just exploits.

I'm pissed that they improved the damn tm3 hammerhead's special but were not capable to put that same special to darkside just with greater damage and a truck horn sound.
Same in tm2, once I saw they were able to bring back darkside render but with shadow special 😒
Big chances wasted.

Yeah gotta say seeing these mods brings back the spirit of times I had with Twisted Metal, and brings a difference of mostly balance, or just good chaos. If I had a pc would try this stuff out.
Speaking of that rando mod I hope to see a version of that on the others. Just prepare for hfil with Primeval on Washington I can think of bad on TM3.
